Just a small amount of water each. I use a Boogie Blue water filter and hold some water in a 10 gallon garbage can. I also have air stones in there. Number two was a little late to the party. I also started using the 315 CMH at the end of the week
This week I transferred to 3 gallon smart pots. I purchased a 5lb bag of Super Soil Organic Concentrate from Nature's Living Soil. I am skeptical at this point because the directions say this is enough for an entire grow from start to finish. I followed the directions. I mixed 4lbs of this with a bag of Vermont Compost Fort Light, I think a 6 quart bag. I then filled the bottom third of each pot with that mixture. Then I filled the rest of each pot with Coast of Maine Bar Harbor Blend Organic Potting Soil, the purple bag. Crossed my fingers. Nothing but water from here on out.
Very light defoliation. I removed a couple fan leaves that were touching the soil on number 2. Number 2 also had some odd growth. Looked like 2 leaves and a stem at one of the early nodes. You can see how much I watered them. The soil on inside edge of the smart pot is still dry after watering. Still just water, no nutrients, no PH balancer, no calmag. Just filtered water.
Wasn't sure if number 2 was going to make it so I buried an Alaskan Purple seed next to her a couple weeks ago to see what would happen. when it popped it stretched like crazy to get some light.
I removed a few more bottom leaves. Not really sure exactly how much I water them. I go by weight of the pot, the dryness of the soil and how the leaves look. I also don't water every day, maybe every third day. Still just water as well.
Watering every three days. I am limited in this tent height wise so I need to flip soon. I started training. Both LST and some accidental HST. The top broke off of number 2 while trying to bend it over. So I Cut it off and put it in a cup of water to see what would happen. Homemade PVC job with poly string wrapped around self tapping screws every two inches. Holding it up with adjustable straps in each corner.
Flipped the lights this week to 12/12. Still just filtered water. Some LST and defoliation under the scrog for air flow. Humidity goes up some after watering now so no need for the humidifier anymore. My Vivosun fan stopped working. I already owned it for over six months but Vivosun was happy to refund my account so I ordered another one. Happen to be a 2 pc set and one of those stopped working. I returned them for a replacement set and haven't had another issue.
Just filtered water still. More LST to control height mostly. Slight defoliation underneath for air flow. About a gallon of water each every three days. No runoff, if there is it is very little.
Light defoliation of older leaves. I can't keeps these girls down. So no more training due to the fact I broke another one. And all of a sudden number 2 just took right off. Thankfully she is on the side and not under the light. Strange growth on another, not sure what to make of it. Looks like buds lining up along the leaf stem. The more the better.
Number 2 on the right has finally stopped stretching thankfully. Still about 1 gallon of water each, every three days. At this point I can't believe I haven't had to add any compost tea or nutrients. Just removing older leaves from bottom.
Only things changing are size and color. Still just filtered water one gallon each every three days, no runoff. Removed quite a bit of foliage for light penetration. One fan has a small bud growing in the center of it. I have only seen pictures of this.
Number two has not changed color. Still green and beautiful but not changing color. Most trichomes are still clear, some starting to cloud, no amber at all. The one with the white top is the Alaskan Purple that I started as a backup plan and let her go anyway to see what would happen. Just removing yellow and dead leaves daily.
Lots of Pictures. Number 2 is still mostly green and some trichomes are still clear. There are a few amber trichomes on the other. Still hard to believe there was enough in that one bag of living soil to go this whole grow.
Definitely harvest time. I wasn't planning on doing this diary, therefore I didn't keep very close attention to most of the conditions. My next grow will be high CBD and I will try to keep better records of those things.
