Monchue sem1/2020

Monchue A little slow at first due to the cold, taking advantage of the sun a bit and trying to keep them warm with a CFL.

Monchue The plants look good, I'm trying to heat things up a bit by increasing the light power.

Monchue Everything went as I expected, I applied apical pruning above the fifth node.

Monchue A little bending on the branches to reach 4 colas, at least one of them very branched out.

Monchue Growing well, we start flowering next week.

Monchue Transplanted just before flowering and blooming as I expected, I bring the lights a bit closer and try to maintain the temperature by adding CFL. I add a fan that I just bought.

Monchue Thinking about leaving the light just for 2 plants, the space gets small with the stretching. I'm going to take the one in the bigger pot outside.

Monchue Taking advantage of the sun when I can, the quarantine started and I can take them out. Budding a beauty, being careful with any inconsistencies in the pH.

Monchue Working a bit on clearing out the lower branches, maybe leaving the one with pH issues a bit bushy, which I also decide to wash the roots a bit to correct it. It's curious that it's only in one of the three. Little stretch and beautiful colors.

Monchue Blooming a beauty, worried about its ability to fatten up, but happy with the process, one of my best grows to date.

Monchue I can see the first trichomes, happy, very happy. It looks like the flowers are starting to invade the main stems, it’s going to be an unforgettable harvest. Great entertainment for the quarantine.

Monchue Fattening up the buds, a beauty, nice colors, good thickness. I had to sacrifice a couple because a bit of mold showed up on the outdoor one, hoping it doesn't spread throughout the whole batch. Looking forward to tasting the terpenes in about 2 weeks at most. I tried to get Top Bud, but it was impossible due to the quarantine. I'm trying to replace it with Bud Bulk from G-Black.

Monchue This week I'm stopping the nutrient additions and continuing to water as usual. I'm planning to harvest at the end of the week, so I'm stopping watering for the last 5 days. The trichomes are white and visible all over the buds, a beauty. The outdoor one has been harvested and is drying.

Monchue Additional week for the indoor flowers, watering without nutrients. Finishing the flowering as I expected overall, but with an unpleasant surprise due to a caterpillar that caused mold on two fat colas 😤.

Monchue The rains have arrived and with the risk of mold, I decide to harvest the outdoor one right away. Good buds, well covered in trichomes. It handled the cold nights (10°C) well and resulted in pretty colors. I do a wet trim as best as I can and leave it to dry on a rack with some stems, hoping they'll be ready to cure in about 8-10 days, keeping an eye out for mold at all times and satisfied with the result of this strain outdoors, although I would use a cover for the rainy nights next time. I leave the two indoor plants for another week, only to find a terrible surprise, the tip of one cola infected with botrytis, from the inside, possibly caused by a caterpillar like before, since the humidity rarely goes above 50%, although I understand that the cold nights help the fungus; that's the price of not having a tent or dehumidifier. I finish harvesting with satisfactory results, good density and trichome coverage.
