Diary Auto Amnesia 9/5/20 Welcome to my diary! My goal is to grow my first plant ever in the most stealthy way possible. Also, I'm trying to keep it simple and (as far as I can) organic. I will grow outdoor. Any advice is welcomed! :) please feel free to comment ^-^ Enjoy my journey! Together with Auto Amnesia I'm growing her friend Lemon Potion CBD, which has her own diary on my page. Today I put my seed in wet paper towels. I closed it in a small plastic box which previously contained raspberries and put it in my closet. The temperature is about 26 C during the day and about 14 C during the day and humidity is naturally very high (~55% in sunny days, ~80% when it rains). 11/5/20 She sprouted today! Trought the cracked shell I can see a tiny white root lying inside. She seems so delicate, I'm going to leave her in the paper towel until the small root is out and then I will put her in a peat cube (jiffy). Can't wait! Sadly thought, the paper towel started to mold a bit today so I had to change it. I don't know why this happened, I've never heard of anything similar and damp paper towel was the most recommended method on GrowWeedEasy. Any advice? Anyway, it doesn't seem to have affected the seed so let's hope everything's fine. 12/5/20 Now she has a big root popping out so it's time to put her in her jiffy. As you can see in today's photo, she seems to have both the root and the cotyledons bent on the same side, but they should naturally go on place. I put the jiffy in a plastic cup with drainage holes filled with soil. She's now on my window. 13/5/20 Yes she's out! She's a bit bent but I think she will be just fine. I'm amazed by the speed of this plant! (Few hours later) Omg she literally straighten up in like 2 hours! She's gorgeous and I can already see the new tiny little pointed leaves! 14/5/20 In 24 hours she stretched a lot and the pointed leaves are clearly visible now. I will move her out in shaded sun tomorrow since I know that stretching means she needs more light. 15/5/20 Today the temperature is a bit lower than yesterday but I made her a little greenhouse with a bottle. Next week the temperature should finally stabilize and I will be able to let her outside all day long.

17/5/20 Today there was a bright sun so she sunbathed a bit. She's stretching out her first true leaves but I can't wait to see the next pair of leaves. In comparison with her first week her growth sue slowed down a lot during the last days, but I suppose that's normal. According to her description she should be ready to harvest around the beginning of August. 19/5/20 Yesterday she sunbathed in direct sun for about 12 hours and she showed the second pair of leaves! Unfortunately, today the sun is hidden behind thick clouds and it rains a bit (she's outside nonetheless because the temperature is about 22°C and she totally needs light). Tomorrow, following the advice of some kind stranger, I will re pot her. I still have some doubt about the fertilizers. I have a lot of good mature cow manure but I'm not sure whether to use it. 20/5/20 Today I repotted her in 1/2 soil 1/2 worm casting. Unfortunately, it seems absolutely impossible to find perlite around here. Today I went to the local gardening store (which is pretty big) and the guy looked at me like a was a mad granny like wtf man that's your area how can you not know what's perlite? They told me "buy tomato soil" so I read the composition and it was about 50% clay and 0% perlite or vermiculite 😅 anyway, today she distanced her leaves from he cotyledons and her second pair of leaves are growing well. Tonight will be her first night out since it's about 18°C. Moreover, she's now in a 9.7 liters pot and I really can't keep her in my living room anymore. Today's second discovery was that here you can't find a 10 or 11 liters pot (and again they looked at me in a weird way). They had 9.7 or 15 and the cost varied A LOT between them so I chose the 9.7. 22/5/20 Yesterday evening I noticed some bugs around her so I sprayed the leaves with diluted neem oil. Bugs are gone but I will never spray this oil again: today one leaf was stunted and the other had some weird spot. She seems to have grown a bit nontheless. Oh I'm so sorry :(((

25/5/20 She's growing some more leaves and looks overall healthy. Maybe she's a bit small but that's ok. Observing the soil I had to use I discovered that it has a nice part of sand so the drainage should be ok. As you can see the first leaves are a bit burnt due to that f spray but the new ones are ok. 26/5/20 Today I took a close up of her new leaves and they look fine. I found some little white bug on her and I killed it. Unfortunately I didn't have my phone so I couldn't take pics. I hope they won't be there tomorrow, but in that case I'm gonna take a photo. 28/5/20 No more white bugs, I'm so relieved. She's growing beautifully, producing new leaves every day. Apart from that stunted leaf (which is growing anyway) she looks healthy :) 29/5/20 Now there is almost no difference between the stunted leaf and the healthy one. Today she smells a bit. I'm quite surprised, she's not showing any sign of flowering but she's already smelly. Actually, it's a very light smell and can be felt only if you stick your nose among her leaves so it's ok. I'm afraid she will be incredibly smelly while flowering but in that case I will simply move her in a corn field so no problem. Ps Sorry for dark photos, most days I can visit her after sunset and I take photos with a flash light.

1/6/20 Yesterday I couldn't check on her and today she's proudly showing her first pair of 5 pointed leaves 😍💪 her smell is a bit stronger but nothing incredible and she's growing new small leaves at the base of every leaf. So proud of her 2/6/20 This week the weather won't be good, it will rain almost every day until Saturday. Today I made a little shelter for the plants with a transparent cloth and some sticks. It came out pretty good. 3/6/20 Even with the "greenhouse" the wind managed to bend her a bit. She's totally ok and I decided to improvise and start LST on her. 4/6/20 Nothing to report, the weather is absolutely awful. According to the weather forecast it will rain until next Saturday (the 13th). I hope she will manage to get enough light anyway. You will find a photo of today's weather so that you can suffer with me. 6/6/20 Unfortunately, the shelter collapsed, thank god I didn't study architecture 😂 since they need shelter, next week I'm going to buy a couple of transparent umbrellas. They should do the job. Anyway, she's doing fine.

8/5/20 This morning she had some small white creatures on her branches. I couldn't find out what they were, so just in case, I killed them. They are white, about 1 mm long, hairy and can jump, but not fly. I'm terrified by pests. My strawberries last year were completely ruined by some unknown pest so now I exceed in prevention. This evening the small creatures weren't there so I suppose I won... 10/6/20 Yesterday I built the umbrella greenhouse 2.0. Ok, actually, my bf built it cause I have already proven not to be a decent engineer 😂 I'm pretty satisfied! 11/6/20 Yesterday I didn't really checked them with attention and today.... WE HAVE HAIRSSSS! 😍 she's pre-flowering! OMG! She's stinky but it's a very light smell, and it's delicious. I'm a bit over excited, did you notice? I was thinking about giving her some banana tea, it worked like magic for my strawberries... Moreover, the awful gloomy week is almost over and as usual the weather forecast were overly dramatic. In fact, we actually had a bit of sun and it's going to be better and better in the weekend. Ps, the umbrella resisted the storm! Yay! 13/6/20 Yesterday I couldn't check her and today she has a big new apical bud The other little buds are swelling and she's smelling nicely. As soon as the weather will be better I'll try and take a macro on her new buds. I bent her secondary branches a bit more. Today the annoying white creatures were back 🙄 they even left some kind of wool under a leaf. The plant isn't damaged at all and I keep killing them but I'd really like to know what they are... I'm scared of using neem oil again after those terribile results, what could I do?

Hi! Does anybody know what those little white hairy bugs are? They're driving me crazy! They jump but don't fly and the plant is not damaged at all. They left a sort of thick cobweb under a leaf... What can I do?

Sounds like spider mites.. You can try to wash them off with just a spray but it won't kill them. Try a Cold Pressed Neem Oil , Mixed with Insecticidal soap. Follow their application regimen usually every 7 days up until the last 3 weeks of flower! Hope this helps! Happy Growing! 👊

14/6/20 Yesterday I sprayed some neem oil on her leaves. I've been very careful not to spray the buds. I really hope she's fine 😭 I don't trust that oil, but it's my only choice apparently if I want to kill those bugs. Can't wait to check her tonight... 15/6/20 Ok thank God she's doing fine. Actually, she's great! So vigorous! Now the question is: if it wasn't the neem oil, what ruined her in week 3? Or maybe she was too small for neem oil, I don't know 🤔 As soon as it's ready I will water her with some banana tea, it has been brewing for about 3 days now. 16/6/20 Today I adjusted LST and defoliated a bit, mostly because the bigger leaves were shading the secondary buds. Even if I'm still learning how to LST I already see so many advancenents in the secondary buds just by being in direct sunlight. So LST is doing its job. Yesterday I snapped a little branch but today it was already back in place and pretty firm. I'm really admired by the strength of this plant. It has been almost a week since I watered her because it rains almost every night so the soil is constantly moist. From about 6.30 AM to 9.30 PM it's sunny and warm. 17/6/20 Today her bigger and oldest leaves showed burnt edges. I think it's that damn neem oil again. I hate it. Probably mine contains something that disturbs weed plants, but I don't know what. I won't use it again, and that's my final decision. Anyway, she has new buds evey day and she's really having that "flowering stretch" everybody was talking about. Everyday I adjust her LST and, if needed, cut off some of the most annoying leaves (or the ruined ones). Today is day 40: we are half way to the harvest! I wonder if the changes she will experience in the next 40 days will be as shocking as the ones in these first weeks. When I started growing I was doing it just to be independent, but now I crave those few minutes I spend with the plants because I find caring for them oddly therapeutic. I know, it's kinda weird and romantic, but it's true. 18/6/20 Today I watered her with some banana tea. I also counted the buds and they are 24! But she's growing some new branches so I expect the number to rise a bit. 20/6/20 Actually, nothing to report. She looks beautiful and smells nicely. She has the tendency to be bushy so I have to trim away some leaves almost every day. I still find some bug here and there but nothing to be worried for. I think I will sprinkle a bit of coffee grounds on top, I read they serve as pesticides.

22/6/20 Yesterday I couldn't check her and today she's so much bigger! I took away the umbrella because it should be sunny for weeks and weeks. Her smell is very light and sweet and herbal. 24/6/20 The bugs are back but now, thanks to the adorable Rap_a_cap I know what they are! He wrote me that they are almost adult citrus flatid planthoppers (metcalfa pruinosa). They can be treated using a solution of water and Marseille soap (50 gr. per 100 cc.) additioned with 900 cc. of denaturated alcohol. This evening I'll treat her, now the sun is way too hot to spray things on her. I can't be grateful enough to Rap_a_cap ❤️ I also noticed that she's drinking A LOT. Her pot is always dry and I have to water her once a day. It may be also due to the very hot temperature, or both. 25/6/20 Today there are very few bugs left. I couldn't spray the solution again because it was too hot. Tomorrow I'll spray it again. 26/6/20 Today I bought a 60X jeweler lent, can't wait to see my buds thought it. 27/6/20 Sprayed her with water + alcool + soap to eliminate the last pests. I can see she's really focused on fattening those buds. Today I started brewing cow manure tea. According to the guide I'm following it should be ready to use in 3-4 days.

29/6/20 She's doing great! The bugs are stubborn 1/7/20 She's starting to become frosty! She's all covered in small sweet drops and smells like heaven. The hair are getting darker and darker.. Oh yeah, and a pidgeon pooped on her 😂🙄 Today the manure tea is ready, but she's not dried yet so I'm going to wait until tomorrow. I don't even LST her anymore, I just adjust ans defoliate when needed. PS, look at my new watering can! It's cow shaped! 😍🐄 3/7/20 4 weeks until harvest! Her buds are shiny with trichomes! We didn't have a great weather in the last 3 days so she didn't sunbathe a lot. Next week should be 100% sunny tho. Yesterday I watered her with some diluted manure tea, let's see if it helps fattening up those buds :) Ps, that white stuff on her leaves is the residue of the bugs spray

5/7/20 Today I defoliated a bit because she was becoming sooo bushy. I can't tell whether the tea has had a good effect or what because it's my first grow and I don't have any reference regarding outdoor organic buds... All I know I'd that the buds smell heavenly, are sticky as hell and are fattening. In conclusion, if the tea hasn't done good, it hasn't done bad either. I was thinking about getting flora grow nutrients but here in Italy there's no way to but them. Literally no way. I'm so angry :( if anybody knows where to purchase them (or knows a valid organic alternative), please let me know! 6/7/20 The lens is here! Lol it's so difficult to attach the lens to my phone camera! I probably should have bought one made for the phone 😂 moreover, I didn't want to get too close to the buds because I was afraid to ruin them. Anyway, it's so good to be able to see those little trichomes! They're shiny! I'll try and take better photos, I swear 😂 Today I also found a very big cardboard box that I'm going to use as drier :) 7/7/20 The bugs are gone finally! And we have a new little friend, a tiny tiny spider named Spidey. I think I'm going to let him stay for a bit, his small cobweb is full of mosquitoes, aphids and stuff so he's doing a great job! Moreover, he's staying away from my buds so he doesn't bother me at all. I'm wondering if it's a common thing among growers to make friends with a spider😂 9/7/20 Today I gave her a pretty haircut and now she looks like a spider lol. Buds are fattening but I'm not entirely satisfied, next time I'll try using some nutrient and see how it goes. 10/7/20 It's 11.30 pm and I've just made a blitz to see the girls. I hadn't programmed to visit them today but a massive storm is coming and I don't want to waste all for the hard work I made for some wind and rain. I didn't have the time to carefully check them but overall I don't notice anything suspicious. They look fine. Oh I'd pay for a safe place to grow them! Finding the moment to go and check them is always an adventure and I feel like playing chess sometimes😂 I wish I can sit in my garden and calmly observe them without having to run every time. Watering is also so difficult! I purchased a 5 liters tank but I can fill it in very rare occasions so most days I have to go around with my gym bottle ahaha

12/7/20 The tips of her leaves are turning yellow but she's 2 weeks way from harvest so I suppose she's naturally drying and probably suffering a bit of heat stress. Maybe I'll give her another shot of manure tea. Strangely enough she started producing new buds some days ago and they're maturing fast! 17/7/20 Omg her new buds are so fat! And her older ones are pretty massive. I'm pretty astonished by the size of her top bud, it's about 5 cm long! Being my first time I really wasn't ready for this explosion, especially since I'm going all organic and homemade! But the most amazing fact is that she has a lot of very big and fatty buds, not only the apical one. I mean, the apical one is HUGE, but the others are not so different in size actually. I thought they would have been much smaller! She should have 14 more days, but who knows?

19/7/20 Ok so today I found another horribly fat bug. I killed it and scanned the whole plant and thank god it was a loner. But I also made another exciting discovery: dead ants on the sugar leaves. There were about 6. I managed to find one that was still alive, but it was extremely slowed down. So here's the question: can ants die from thc overdose? Because I don't think it was Spidey to kill them because he would have eaten them... Online I couldn't find any study about the ants' reaction to thc. I asked a friend of mine and she will investigate. It's so fascinating, isn't it? Anyway, her buds are fatter and fatter and I can't be enough proud! 24/7/20 Today we had a massive hurricane that lasted all day long. The ladies are safe under their umbrella shelter.

She's very easy to grow and next season I'll grown her again for sure. Since it's very dangerous to grow here I'll probably buy some organic nutrient to boost her flowering.
