Temp and humidity jumped a bit over the weekend Day 16/17 to over 80 F and 45-50 % humidity. She's still looking good but the leafs did start curling a bit so raised the light and cranked up the fan. Starting more seeds of different strains so will start another diary as soon as they pop up.
Unsure if it's too early to turn my light up just yet or wait till more leaves are growing. Currently at 25% (10,000 lux aprox.) using the dimmer for a 120w LED at 20 inches from seedling. Thanks in advance.
I think you are good with that amount of light at this point. Also you can play with the distance of the light 'cos that amount of power should not heat the lamp. You can lower the lamp and see how she reacts to it without adding more power just yet.
Any ideas as to why the stem is bending like this? Day 8, 2.75 inches tall, 33% humidity, 77f temp. The seedling did originally stretch but seems to have stopped in the last couple of days and focusing on growing leafs. Thanks in advance
Could this be light burn? Only on top new leafs. Have not fed her any nutes yet. I did lower the light after I did LST by the height difference after bending her lower. Have raised the light back up again but just wanted to check what people thought. Thanks in advance
Yes mate it's light burn, I had the same thing. Just dim the light or raise it slightly. I was also wondering if it was nute burn or light burn. Make sure for good air flow too. 👍🌱
Does anyone know what this could be from and the best course of action? I can't find any visible bugs on topside or underside of the leafs. Have been putting her outside for a few hours each day for the last week. Nute burn is from hot soil from bottom of the pot she grew into..
Hey Growmie,
For maximum THC you'll want to harvest when around 60%-70% of your plant's pistils have darkened and started to curl in on themselves. With only 15-20% darkened pistils I would say at least 3-4 weeks especially if you want to do a proper flush.
Hopefully, this was helpful and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".
Thank you for all your answers! I realised that it probably is the outside conditions being windy causing this leaf damage. I'll keep an eye on it and get ready with a weak peroxide spray just in case it is bugs!
Thank you for the replies regarding the yellow leaf tips. I think it is a combo of light burn with maybe some nute burn from the Happy Frog soil which was in the bottom of the pot only. I have raised the light and will keep an eye on it.
