Just put one Blue Cheese and one Royal Madre seed into wet paper towels to germinate. This diary likely won't be as well documented as my previous but I'll try to do some weekly updates. Going to put what I learned in the first grow into practice here. Wish me luck, and hopefully I don't get overwhelmed with two plants in the tent. First update. Both seeds germinated but the Royal Madre was far slower, which I was expecting as it seems to be an older seed that isn't sold by RQS anymore. The Blue Cheese has already sprouted a decent amount out of the soil, the Royal Madre is poking out but it's hard to see! Will keep things updated. Day 5, both are free from the shell. The picture shows the RM with it but just after it fell off. I have an issue with stretching though. Can't figure out what I should be doing with the QB. I have it fairly close and it was set to about 60Watts but I was still getting the stretching. I've just tested with a LUX app and it was reading over 40k so I've lowered the wattage to read around 20k now. Hopefully they stay put now. Will add some more topsoil soon to cover the stems.

Week two is almost up and both are coming along nicely I think. The Royal Madre is definitely a slower, more ugly duckling at the moment but I had a feeling it could be due to the questionable age of the seeds. Nothing much happened since they sprouted, watered maybe twice with about 50ml each so far.

Think they are coming along nicely. 4 days into week 3 and they are growing rapidly compared to a week ago. Seem to have the light height (About 16 inch) and strength (60W) working well too. Only watered a few times since sprouting. Going to see if I can go a month without any nutes as the soil is apparently good for that long. Looking good at the end of week 3. Both growing pretty fast I think.

Topped both plants this morning. Hopefully the timing was right and the topping was correct. Time will tell how they react! Not 100% sure if the topping has worked yet, not enough experience in doing so to tell!

Started some LST, hoping to keep everything as flat as possible. Gave them a watering (almost once every other day) today 15/06. Coming along well so far!

Week 6 I topped them again. Was debating whether or not to do it and decided I might as well try. Praying it goes well and they bounce back quickly so I can flip to flower. So far they've only had plain pH'd water this grow. Will probably introduce nutes near start of flowering. Plants seem to be responding well to the second topping. So far still only feeding plain pH'd water. Think I will veg for one more week then consider flipping so I can get a harvest before the end of november. Did notice the smallest sign of nute burn (I think) but not sure why it would be happening this late into the grow. Will keep an eye on it.

Plants seem to be responding well. I did some defoliation yesterday (pics soon) and plan to flip to flower at the start of week 8. Fingers crossed these feminised seeds actually turn out to be females! Flipped to flower on the 4th of July as they seem to be happy. Also gave their first feeding with nutes and so far no signs of problems! 8th of July - I think they are looking amazingly healthy! They responded perfectly to their first feeding from what I can see, everything is a nice lush green and the leaves feel great. Lots of nice smells starting to develop as well. 9th of July - Gave them another feeding today. Did notice slight nute burn on some tips but on the lower leaves. Fed with a PPM of 610 today.

It's been roughly a week since I flipped the lights to 12/12 so I will consider this week 1 of flower. Watered and fed yesterday and not seeing any signs of burn today so I am happy things seem to be going fine. Planning to not LST much from here and just letting them both fill out the tent. I still haven't been able to determine they are both female yet but I am putting my faith in RQS Fem seed claim so fingers crossed! 14/07/2020 - I noticed two colas on the RM had grown a lot taller than the rest of both plants. Decided to try supercrop/bend them over to make them level again. Accidentally almost snapped one clean off. Put some tape so hoping it recovers. Other than that, they both seem to be doing really well with feedings. I seem to be able to give them much stronger feedings than my first Auto grow without causing massive burn issues. Now I am keeping an eye on the flower development as it's not as far long as I'd expect for basically two weeks after flipping to 12/12.

Decided to try and do more defoliation today, mostly on the Royal Madre. Attempted to lollipop but not sure it was successful, time will tell if I have stressed them out. Also gave them a watering today, accidentally left them 2 days since the last water/feed and they were looking a little bit droopy. Seem to be chugging along nicely. No noticeable impact from the defoliation yesterday and both have perked up again after yesterday's watering.

Moving along nicely. So far I've managed to avoid nute burn almost entirely. Not sure their development is what I was hoping for. I was expecting much bigger bud sites than I had on my first ever auto but its only week 3 of flower so I'll wait and see what happens. Definitely notice the difference between the indica and sativa though!

Another pretty solid week. I upper the feeding strength to about 1100 PPM on the 1st and they are not showing any signs of burn. They also seem to be packing on flower more densely now as well and as of the 4th of August I am noticing the start of trichs appearing.

Going really well so far. They are packing on weight and trichomes and the smell is a little out of hand to be honest. I don't have a carbon filter setup and most days I can smell them from outside the house which is concerning.

Week 13, things are moving along nicely. They are fattening up nicely and very smelly. 17/08/2020 - Slight nute burn from last feeding. I suspect it's because I used about 2.5ml more nutes and didn't check the ppm. very minor

21/08/2020 - Looking good. The Blue cheese is definitely finishing up quicker than the Royal Madre, but I expected this. The smell is crazy strong and I can detect it from outside the house. Luckily not many people here probably recognise the smell lol. Hoping they finish up in the next 3-4 weeks max. 25/08/2020 - Fed them again today. They are fattening up at a really nice rate! The smell is ridiculously strong and weedy!

02/09/2020 - Had to reposition the Royal Madre as I noticed she was leaning heavily into the sides of the tent. Turns out her buds are too heavy and I had to tie them up on 31/08/2020. Not a problem I was expecting to face but I can't complain. The Blue Cheese seems to be carrying on without much issue. There is some slight burn to parts of her but at this stage I think its fine. Nothing is looking cloudy/amber on either plants yet but I suspect at least another 2 weeks for the BC and longer for the RM.

Can't believe it's been 4 months since seed. Still not showing signs of amber trichs. 09/09/2020 - Blue cheese has started to amber up finally. Thinking 7-10 days more for her. The Royal Madre is taking her time though, probably another 3 weeks?

Not much to comment on this week other than I put the blue cheese into two days of darkness and gave the Royal Madre the whole tent to finish up in.

Cut the blue cheese into single branches to hang dry. Hoping the humidity holds steady and dries it up nice and slowly. The Royal Madre is ticking along nicely with more space to breathe now.

So this finished up with 79g of useable bug, of which 61g I deemed worth curing in a jar. It's been curing for about 4 weeks now and it smells and feels amazing with a very pleasant smoke. This turned out fantastic and was so easy to grow!

Sadly I had to pull her earlier than I would have liked but shockingly she out performed my Blue Cheese on final weight. The buds looked like they'd be airy but they are packing some weight. I got a total of 107g of flower from her and of that 79g buds worth jarring up. Considering I pulled her early, she was relatively covered in trichs and was a mission to give her a rough dry trim. I'm not sure what my plan is for this bud as I am not expecting a great smoke due to timings of her chop but time will tell. All said and done, I couldn't be happier with my results of 186g total bud from two plants on my second ever grow.
