Grow Questions

Just discovered this is not an autoflower and I should have topped, stress trained or tried some techniques to reduce height and increase yield. Is it too late now? Should I at least defoliate? Would you recommend I replant in a bigger pot? (dont want it to grow anymore)

Hi Man, check my diaries and the way I fight against my stretching plants. TM is not late to train or bend her, it's safe till the last stages of flowering when stems turn to be harder. No need to defoliate IMO. Change your pot, plants will benefit from this and LTS allow you to control her height.

It is getting really cold outside and from what I can tell this girl needs at least another 4 weeks. Is there anything I can do to speed up flowering at this point? Any tips for increasing chances of survival?

yes you can. but it involves work on your part. you could either pick it up and put it some where dark and only give it outside light of 8 hrs each day. she will get ripe faster with the longer dark cycle. the spot she needs to be completely dark for the whole dark cycle, no light leeks ect. yes this can be done, if the plants is too big to move you will have to create some thing around her that will enclose her in a dark cycle, a big empty refrigerator box perhaps covered with a blanket, what ever it is you just got to be responsible to get her in to the dark. hope this helps

How does the 1g/w ratio work in this case? Plant grew outdoor until this week. She is huge but only under 100W leds now. so am I gonna yield max 100g? find that hard to compute considering how much flower there is :)

1g/w isn't a guarantee. type of light you use will be a big part of that. even an inefficient light can reach 1g/watt. what happened in vege doesn't impact anything now except for the plant mass grown.. obvioulsy, if it helped you grow the plant larger, it should also increase your yield indoors with a larger plant -- this requires 'enough' light and coverage to realize. if you have too much plant mass for your light, you'll end up with very week buds or maybe a few good colas where light is strong and very weak, airy colas all other places. Depending on the LED quality, you'll want anywhere from 30w/sq ft to 50w a sq ft. If it isn't samsung lm301 diodes, lean twoard 50w a sq. ft. plant looks much larger than 2sq ft. so, i don'tknow if i'd recommend a large pruning as that will likely shock the plant at absolutely the worst time to do so. Keep light ever tallest colas, maybe tie a few in close proximity under that stronger coverage from the light. 4-6" x 4-6" per colas. Probably get your best quality on those under the more intense light.

2nd plant I have those drying branches on, what am I doing worng? Last plant I was told it is due to dry roots and wrong watering. But watering this one well and keeping her damp all time. Leaves start drying and dryness spreads. Could it be due to light not reaching bottom?

Wow, that branch is completely necrotic. Things that *could case a branch to tamp off like that. *Damage *Infection *Fungus I really can't see more, but only a vascular disease would cause something like this outside of damage to the branch itself. From the pictures, I'm leaning towards unseen branch damage, perhaps it broke while moving it and you didn't notice? The entire branch and the buds attached to it look dried and bleached, the bleaching would come from the lights once the tissue has died.

Previous question's Issue with dying branches is spreading to other branches, which makes me think it is not branch damage when moving her. I noticed some weird dryness and black marking on the base of one of the dead branches. Please see pics and video of week 26 for more detail
