Both plants have grown lots more foliage this week and little sister is now 40cm tall.. So much so that I've been quite drastic and done some defoliation at the lower levels on both plants. Also done some training to try and control cola directions of growth. I've changed the nutrient solution for more or less a 50/50 mix of veg/flower nutes. Was quite suprised when i lifted the top tier off my recirculating system to find a collection of roots about 60 cm long have passed through the clay pebble layer (10 litres of the stuff) and are permanently emersed in the nute solution in the reservoir. What's the point in me setting a watering schedule if its got roots in the reservoir? Should i be trimming these roots off or should i just leave them alone? Also, I've heard that super lemon haze doesn't like too much water, so surely roots in the reservoir can't be good? Anyway, despite my confusion and not really knowing what I'm doing, both plants appear healthy. They both have nice shiny leaves with healthy tips etc. Am I worrying unnecessarily? They do say 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm not 100% on this, but i think this might be the start of the flowering stage which is why I've changed my diary entries to flowering. I'm sure i can see a few little white pistils here and there, but they are tiny at the moment and my eyes are crap.
@PigBearMan, its a gemini ebb and flow unit. Separate reservoir and water pump for each pot, so no cross contamination, and so can also control nutrient delivery for each individual plant.
@Stevodidge wrote “Thought i would have been close to harvest by the end of week 12, but its now week 13 and I can see this going to 16 or even 18”
This underscores the industry standard BS marketing about length of time to harvest. Sativa dominants, such as those with any Haze, can go way longer than stated!
Every breeder is worried you won’t buy their product if they are honest about it, so everyone lies. It always takes longer than claimed, and always yields less than claimed. Buyer beware. Welcome to the world of legal-ish cannabis!
Be patient. Looks awesome! Nice work
Looking really good mate I also have some super lemon going moment in Coco😀 should be ok for height my ladies are about 35cm and just start to flower 😀 your setup look awesome man and if your continue with your training on these ladies I think you will smash it happy growing mate 😀
@Stevodidge, you're welcome ;) you can check out this graphic - it shows common nutrient deficiency & excess

@Stevodidge, yeah... I'd try with lowering the nutes and then slowly increasing them to see how the plants handle them. Obviously this is a bit much for them, I'd stop giving them nutrients for veg, because they don't need it any more. I'd also put something under the smaller plant so that the canopy is more or less even, so that they get the same amounts of light.
@Stevodidge, I've seen this strain almost double in height in flowering, but most are not that extreme, although they can be a hassle ;) You'll have fun for sure :)
@bobo420, thanks. I am a bit concerned about height, but have been topping and training to try and keep the height down. Although it would be great to nail this grow, I am treating it as a learning experience for my first time growing anything.
