Week 5: Explosive growth this week. They grew over 1 inch each night. Had some slight nute burn on the leaf tips, so adjusted the next feed accordingly. I did light adjustments almost every other day to keep the light 18+ inches away from the top canopy. Cant wait to see what they produce!

Just finished week 1 of flower and I have orange/rust colored spots forming on the upper/low leaves. I tested the Ph run-off on the last feed at 6.0 - Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Spots formed overnight on only one plant.

Ciao amico!!! Dalle foto vedo che alcune foglie sono a forma di artiglio, di solito è un preavviso di extra fertilizzazione.. Prova a misurare l'EC dell'acqua di deflusso!!

If my last run-off Ph was 6.0 during the last feeding, what should my next watering Ph be to get the Ph back to 6.4-6.5? Thanks! You guys rock! I'm growing in Fox Farm Happy Frog soil.

Week 6: One of the plants ran into what I believe to be nute burn (causing the plant feed on itself) to the extent that the majority of the fan leaves and uppers leaves began to lose color and become yellow. Very strange due to the fact that I fed both girls the same and the other plant is doing just fine. Just tested the PPM run-off to be 1020 PPM - it was closer to 2800 PPM before when I realized I overfeed. First time grower going through the motions.

Week 10: All pictures are still in chronological order.. . . I must say I did not expect the results that I've seen so far on my first grow! Both plants received some pretty good nute burn during the first few weeks of flower which is why you see the leaf tips curled in the pictures above. Made the mistake of adding bloom nutrients too soon as well during flower. I'll be better prepared for the next grow, I'm just happy to keep them alive at this point lol ;^)

I want a Ph of 6.5, but when I check the runoff Ph I get 5.9 or 6.0. I just Ph'd the feed water at 7.0 to get around 6.5 where I want, but the runoff stays around 6.0. Any idea what's causing the Ph not to go up to where I want it at 6.5?

Why do you want to know your runoff pH? Simple- it’s an indication of how your water, fertilizer, and grow medium are interacting chemically. There are 3 measurements that are important to know when you are caring for plants growing in a soil or soilless medium. The first is the pH of your source water. Next is the pH of your nutrient solution after the fertilizers and supplements are added. Last is the pH of your soil. But that’s the hard one! You can’t just stick a pH meter in the dirt and get an accurate reading, and the cheap metal-probed meters that show this are usually not all that precise. So how does one determine soil pH accurately? With a runoff test! First, measure the pH of your tap water and record it. As an example, let’s say that it is 7.0, exactly neutral. Now place the pot over a clean rinsed container and pour enough water through the soil to start dripping out the bottom. Collect about 4 ounces of runoff water. Check to see if it is discolored as well. Now, if you only have liquid indicator, which is just fine, pour this water into a clean small tube or the test vial that came with your pH testing kit.Add a few drops of indicator solution, shake, and read the color change. If you have a meter, simply stick the electrode in the water and read. Let’s say that your runoff comes out at 6.5. How did that happen? The water passed through a more acidic matrix and dropped its pH. You can assume that your true soil pH is a couple tenths of a pH point lower than the runoff in this case- I’d assume about a 6.2. If it comes out HIGHER, just go in the opposite direction. If it came out 7.5, you can assume that you need to drop down from about 7.8. You want around 5.3-5.8 for a soilless mix, or 6.3-6.8 for soil. 1- Prop up the plant over a container to catch runoff 2- POur clean water through the soil 3- For liquid indicator, pour into clean vials 4- Check the pH against the color chart 5- Adjust the flush water if necessary Hope this helps! 👊

Checked the trichomes and they're almost all cloudy on both plants with 1-2% amber trichomes. I'll wait a few more days and let them sit in the dark for 48 hours then chop immediately after. I've been flushing them for the past week for reverse osmosis water preparing for harvest. Very proud of my accomplishments as this was my first grow ever. Check back soon for harvest pictures and results! - All pictures were taken randomly throughout the week in chronological order -

Hello, I plan to let the plants sit for 48 hours before cutting them down. Once the 48 hours of darkness is over, do I simply cut them down right after with the lights off or is there another process that I should follow? Thanks!

Growers tend to take to light only as many as they can handle in an hour or so. When plant gets light, photosynthesis starts and you try to avoid it. Cut them straight if you go for dry triming or go girl by girl if you do wet. All idea is not only to put them in last stress for bigger trichs production, but let decarb start.
