Durban Poison clone I got from a local swap. This turd bucket took 45+ days before i could take a healthy clone from it. Came with bugs and in soil that looked like they just dug up dirt in their backyard. It was hardly a clone. More like a rootbound dumpster fire of a plant with all sorts of nutritional problems.
The first clone I took was a replacement for the mother. It is a bit older. It got burned by my new lights. You can see that in my other diary, week 2. I show the aftermath of being stupid.
Anyway, I am mostly flowering this out of spite. I refuse to give up 3 high-quality feminized seeds for a piece of trash I never bloom. If it is low quality in any way it will quickly be removed from the donor area. Despite my feelings toward the plant and how i got it, It is an exceptionally sturdy plant. The branches get very rigid very fast. This thing has the potential to hold endless weight. Leaves are very broad, which seems odd for a sativa?
Needless to say, I'll never do a clone swap again in my life. Too many are total turds.
Weeks are updated when completed. So, next Sunday will be the first day of week 3 and a completed week 2 pictures will be uploaded.
Likely move this into tent around day 10 to test it out for an hour or more. I expect it to take a little adjustment over 2 days or more. If it falls over, i'll remove it and keep trying for longer periods of time.

What happened with the Durban Poison clone this week... Still a boring plant...
Any overlap of information will more thoroughly be covered in the GGxWW diary as they share the same space, share the same lights and essentially fed the same way except when the plant tells me something -- we have a good relationship, but she doesn’t know i’m just going to cut her down, break her into little bits and smoke her in ~3 months.
Slowly acclimated it to the vege area 5/19-5/21. It could handle an hour or so before minor wilt the first 2 days, a couple times per day. By evening of 5/21 it was robust enough to last 6 hours at end of day. Starting off about 1’ lower than vege area canopy, it took it’s first full day without wilt 5/22 (day 12). Raised 4” 5/22. Raised 3.5” 5/23 @13k lux and will rise to canopy level 5/24, if no adverse impacts.
This plant clones like crazy. Within two weeks it is ready for the big lights and about to grow vigrously. I will give it a few more days before transplanting into its final 3-gallon home. Something for next week’s notes.
This is the second clone of her. You can read the first week’s comment as to why i have not flowered this once dumpster fire of a plant. The replacement donor plant suffered some light burn but has fully recovered. Surprised the leaves healed. I’ve had light-burn before and it never healed on that particular plant in the past, but was more severe from the sun during a 5-day power outage... long story, but really bad timing during last week of bloom and mid-bloom for another plant, lol.
Unlike the GGxWW plant with skinny leaves that sprouts auxiliary growth simply out of spite and at a ridiculously fast rate, I think I have to LST this sativa-leaning plant with broad leaves. It has short internodal spacing, but auxiliary growth is not rapidly doing much on the slightly older iteration, either. It’s growing out, but clearly not getting much of the resources once inside the plant. LST should provide greater number of auxiliary growth sooner. Top it, if neccessary, to further force growth elsewhere for 5-7 days. I toppped the other donor-clone and will see how it reacts without LST added.
Check out some photos this week about Daily Light Integral (DLI). Shows a quick way to determine PAR, even if you don’t have an exact M^2 area. You do need to know the total number of umol/s your lights produce. If not optimally placed, must also reduce a bit for any reflection you depend upon and other inefficiencies between the photons leaving light source and hitting plant... or just plain missing it. I also put up a higher-res leaf-symptom chart than the typical one you see out there. “Save image as..” keep them for reference.
Right click any image and "save as" ... May need to "view image" first, if it doesn't save the full resolution image for you.

Well, i had a day 21 picture, so i am making a week 4 retroactively. Some light burn occured may 14, if i recall. Over the course of week 4, it cleared up well.
Swapped the stalled clone out for another clone of the same plant taken a week earlier. It is much better sized to match up with the GGxWW plant. I’ve aleady topped it, but it was a donor plant at that time. I lopped off 2-3 nodes of good growth. As of now it has 4 good auxiliary growths. I’m sure i can get another off each limb coinciding with training and 2 off some would be good too. The added time makes it match up well with GGxWW, I think.
Light burn is long in the past for this plant. It’s growth has been vigorous, and i couldn’t pass up the opportunity to swap it out. The previous clone in this diary will now be the next DP-donor. Its roots were bursting out of the bottom of the cup, but not coiled up. It’s now very happy in it’s ~1/2 gallon+ home -- perkier for sure. I will start transplanting 5-7 days sooner.
More of an unknown than GGxWW for me. Auxiliary growth is not too interested beyond popping some little leaves and initial growth beyond a tiny bud. Think i’ll grow it out near 20” long and top all four limbs. If that doesn’t spur on auxiliary buds, this plan won’t work well.
As with GGxWW, will be fertilizing every irrigation until I see a hint of a toxicity.
Still adjusting lights a bit in vege area. Going to push crop half a bit harder and see how it responds. +10% intensity started Friday(5/29).
Looking into some super phosphates. I’d like to bump P for this and future grows. My bloom canopies are strong but can be better.
This donor-line is going the way of the dodo after this grow. I have very little expectations for it. As far as I am concerned the larger GGxWW gets in comparison, the better, lol.
Nutes formula changed -- see GGxWW diary for details.
Height is still the same, and so far hasn't required tie-downs. The plant stiffens up so fast that just bending it in morning and night is nearly enough. I think in a node or two it will not be. I've been slacking lately, but the stems are still maleable. Gave a bit too much Ca on Friday due to a spreadsheet not properly adding 3 cells.. totally the spreadsheet's fault!
Last Vegetative Week
Well, for 30 days of vigorous growth, I have serious doubts this plant will yield ~175 grams. Neither does the GGxWW. For my first diaries, I made some very unwise decisions, but live and learn. Thirty days in soil and I'd be overcrowded with 2 plants trying to fill 30x30 bloom canopy. Easily filled 3x3 tents with that sort of vege time and 2 plants. I'm not giving up on coco, but I will buy a much better brand. We'll see if a little more intensive preperation helps next batch in stock... if not, it's in the trash and off to the market.
Axillary growth.. it's something i can't stop spelling wrong... you can see it in my notes picture, lol.. leaving it just to poke fun at myself...
Week 8 is completed with day 56 pictures. This plant is 9 days into bloom.
This plant is the only hope for decent tasting nugs until ~September, lol. It was a whim based on principle to bloom it, and now I love the potential of it. Love-hate relationship, if you have read my comments about it over time. So, take it as a grain of salt.
AFter 47 days from cutting, this is another slow plant. Even more sensitive than the GGxWW or simply a slower plant. I topped all four axillary growths in hopes it spurs on growth along each main branch. At best i saw some with a couple nodes and new growth. Over first 3 weeks of bloom, i expect both these plants to act more normal as other plant shave once i get them to this stage of the game. Whatver is messed up in the substrate is typically worked out by now.
Day 62 total / 15 Bloom
Continued to train a bit on edges. Removed plenty of axillary growth to create a little more airflow and hopefully more focused resources on what remains. Genuinely not sure what to do with this plant. I think it is not a plant for LST. When i see similar characteristics in future, i'll remember...
One day early on update. This will be the only update for week 9 of bloom.
Well, i don't expect much of a yield, but this plant showed trichomes by ~20 days or so. Can't complain about that. I can see i should have removed a lot more axillary growth to focus on vertical shoots with no side growth. May give this one a 2nd run out of spite later -- just to prove i can do it better.
The plants are well-spaced for a bit longer. Another 7-10 days on the new plants will enter bloom box. In future, they will be better timed. You can read the notes for this week in the pictures. New formula used, see GGxWW for explanation, if you choose. A combination of 'oops' and hard water concerns. (oops = 24/0 light schedule causing major problems in my vege area)
Plants are in autopilot mode. DP has some tip issues, but healthy otherwise. Lots of trichomes around and bud development looks roughly the same pace as GGxWW, albeit much smaller total yield and nug size.
Week 12 total complete / Week 5 of bloom complete.
Not much to say. Trichome development is stellar. Has a lemony-citrus-like smell. Almost like a much better smelling neem oil. I don't expect more than 40-50g off this plant. I have never grown a plant with such a dismal yield, but at least i learned something -- Don't try to force a square peg through a round hole. The plant didn't respond well to what i did. 100% self-inflicted. Regradless, looks like it'll be some good smoke.
Durban Poison - 13 weeks total / 44 nights of bloom (Jul 25)
Jul 21 - Not sure if I like the smell but I am really looking forward to anything different. It’ll be good for expanding horizons. Since the box has been full, ~25C and 60%RH. Temperature has gone down, humidity has remained constant. I can only guess because volume reduced.
Jul 22 - She’s looking good. Minor leaf symptoms halted with new formula. Tips will likely remain a bit yellow
Jul 23 - Nugs are nice and frosty. Jul 24 - same’ol same’ol.
Jul 25 - Lights are roughly 24” away. Lights are angled slightly as plants in middle are taller. Took some measurements, and it’s still a similar blanket - within variance of hand msrmts/eye.
Nugs look good. Yield looks embarassing.
Durban Poison 98 days / 51 days 12-12
Jul 26 - Looks good. Continued development. Some stigma changing colors lately.
Jul 27 - Many trichomes are opaque-cloudy, but not much amber. Different look to these trichomes than ggxww’s trichomes (at least past seeds, likely this ggxww too)
Jul 29 - SSDD. Slacking on inspecting trichomes.. Remember to check tonight.
Jul 30 - These nugs look nice and thick. Needed 2 of these next to 1 of the ggxww.
Jul 31 - These things haven’t changed much in color or coating, but definitely thickening. Two of these would have been a nice yield for ¼ box space. Keep forgetting to scope triches.
Aug 1 - Some amber seen - quite a bit in one spot, but rare in most other areas. Haven’t been checking much. Stigma mostly white and not retracted.
Values below are completed days. If pictures say "9th Day" it would correspond to "8 Days" in notes.
98 / 51 Days - No Notes
99 / 52 Days - Trichomes were foggier weeks ago, but that just tells me new layers since. Not as glassy as GgxWW, but not as far ahead as I once thought, either. 3-5 days earlier?
100 / 53 Days - Didn’t check in PM. Fine in AM.
101 / 54 Days - Getting out of the prognostication business. Rapid development of GGxWW has put it ahead of Durban Poison. Quite a few glassy triches, yet. Still think 9 weeks will be an upper range for this plant. May pull her out for a good look-see soon, as it is a bit more difficult to scope in its spot.
102 / 55 Days - Not as advanced as I thought. Need to pull it out for better inspection. This canopy is strong and I can begin flush without concern. 2-3 day flush in case of any buildup.
103 / 56 Days - GgxWW and DP are roughly same point of development, now. Amber more consistent in more areas of inspection. Jumped the gun on the 5-10% estimate, previously. Probably just arriving there now. 63 days or less. This plant can have a 3-5 day flush, but ggxww cannot. 8 Completed weeks of 12-12 this AM. Another day or 2 and will begin flush. May need to take this one out and look it over better. No obligations..
104 / 57 Days - Trichomes look a bit different on this plant compared to GgxWW. Starting to see more consistent amber. PM - top-fed flush has begun.
Most recent pictures taken morning of 106th day, 105/58 days completed.
Chopped down during week 16...
105 / 58 Days - Continuing flush, strong(er than ggxww) canopy.
106 / 59 Days - Looked riper under scope 14 days ago. 1-2 days left to shift gear on flush.
107 / 60 Days - Closer to 1 day to shift gears after recent nosedive. Canopy yellowing.
108 / 61 Days - Quite the fade the last 2 days. Still more green than ggxww. Possible chop tomorrow, but will reassess in PM. How quickly things change -- I could use another day or two for the ‘next’ plants to recover, so no obligation tomorrow morning to chop. This one will be closer to 50% amber than ggxww. Couchlock isn’t my preference, but I want to experiment with entire gambit of harvest window now or later.. whenever. PM - Continued progression. Unless something looks wrong in morning, harvest tomorrow. Think I’ll hav eless work than previous harvests - partly because of lower yield and lager proportion of top colas of total.
109 / 62 Days Completed - Chopped her down.
Olfactory Review - Smells of lemon citrus, gassy/skunky. The diesel is starting to dominate as it dries but still has some tang to it.
Taste Review - Tastes like it smells. DP had a nice funky diesel taste and some sort of citrus. The exhale is unique for sure. I know I have never smoked Durban Poison before. It is nice and potent. Showed some discipline and neglected to load up a half-blunt with hash. The taste is strong.
Yield and Quality - Nugs are super tight and frosty. They look like high quality buds and the taste is strong. Very little leaf material overall. Quantity of yield is much better than what i did in 3.12 sq ft. At least 50% more, conservatively, can be expected in same space. A 30"x30" could give 350+ under my 240w lights.
Ramblings...
What a surprising yield, though still a bit light. I may push 100g+ when I expected ~50-60g. The nugs are fat and dense. A bit less of a level filled on the mesh rack than GGxWW and about half the smaller nugs. Betwen the two plants, it'll turn out fairly average yield relative to old lights. The Green Poison F1 Fast version diary will give a good idea of what kind of g/w I can reach without CO2 added. I think 1.5g/W is too low of a bar, but we will see.
Fully powered by new lights from beginning of bloom to harvest. Nugs were solid all the way down, but The canopy isn't so deep, either. Based on GGxWW I could have had another 2-3" deeper of good nugs. Didn't fill out the fill 15"x30" area, either. Left a lot on the table, but makes me feel good about how future yields will turn out when I don't step on my d%$#.
Very little went into the hash bin from this plant. Even what I threw in was nice and dense, albeit a bit small. I've had issues with hardened ovules in my GGxWW harvests. Unlike GGxWW, I was stingy about what went in - only larfy/leafy sugar-coated trash.
Quality looks excellent. Vast majority of weight will be top colas and they are evenly frosted with trichomes. While I never had buyer's remorse, I've had concerns about the ROI, but those concerns have been allayed. These lights are f*cking awesome. I'll likely run them closer to 200W(x2). 1.7g:1w might be a better goal going forward.
Updates on drying:
Day 0 - Finally put a finger on the smell I couldn’t place.. diesel/gassy, duh
Drying 1 Day - Drying is definitely slower this time (an intended goal). Think the plant had a higher water content at time of harvest, which is helping. Took 2 small nugs of each and got them dry enough to grind up - no ovules from what I can tell. I've thought that before early on before, though. Half-blunt tasted horrible, of course, but with enough hash on top that it didn’t bother me for long. While it was like smoking hay, I could think something harsh was missing due to unwanted familiarity lately.
Drying 2 Days - Flipped the top colas after about 36 hours (last night). Checked a couple spots and definitely drying more slowly than last couple harvests. Hopefully, it is a good 7-10 day drying period before they are put into jars with 58% 2-way humidi-paks. The citrus smell is being replaced mostly by a gas/diesel smell on Durban Poison. GGxWW overpowers smell of DP in the room. Floral, fruity with some extra sweetness. Smell is based on touching a coated sugar leaf, as they both smell a bit like grassy-hay from a close distance on the third day. May have overestimated yield slightly? Either my memory is off or a bit more shrinkage than normal. Should still easily clear 8oz in total - nearly 3 entire levels could be filled if consolidated (36” Diameter). I’ll remove the lumber before weighing, too. End of day - nice and slow...
Drying 3 Days - In the AM there is still softness/moisture to the top colas with an occasional dryer spot. Excellent! Smaller nugs are not much different. Drying is going well, so far. Much slower than previous 2-3 harvests. PM - ~7 days looking about right. I'll dump into jars 66-75% full once a decent stem is dry enough to snap, then weigh one of the top cola jars. When that jar no longer changes weight, i know the moisture is evened out. Rather it lose a bit of weight in the jars rather than gain back lost moisture, so i try to err that way.
Drying 4 Days - 5th day ongoing and progressing well. Even the smaller bits have a ways. Those are bunched up more than the top colas to slow them down the last couple days. Well, so much for a slow dry. 14+ hours (ongoing) at 80F saw to that. Stems aren’t snapping. waiting until morning to jar. Humidity has dropped, but temp should fall into 70’s in that room. I’m not so worried. Long enough that it still breaks up like normal buds and the hay smell is 100% gone after 2 days drying.
Drying 5 days - Can’t snap stems in morning… holding off longer. Currently can easily be broken up with scissors and smoked as a blunt without issue. Doubt a joint would stay lit. Should be cooler today, but due to some work being done in the house, it’s in the hottest room of house these last 2 days. Still bending in evening. May end up getting close to 7 days after all.
Drying 6 days - After 6 full 24-hour cycles, buds snap off main stem, but larger stems don't snap. Tossed in jars with 58% two-way humidi-paks. They'll be burped each day, and I'll weigh the same top cola jar each morning until it remains the same weight. (for each strain, as they can dry differently) PM - Burped jars and inspected buds. Not much different on exterior. I don’t expect this to take long to reach final dry weight. Will only know in hindsight if it is currently curing.
Drying days 7 - Burped again after 24 hours in the jars; not a significant change to exterior or weight of nugs. Minor sticking a little jiggle took care of. Placed horizontally for storage this time. I don’t expect weight to change tomorrow. 33/31g for DP and GgxWW, respectively (written to hundredths, but I don’t recall those digits). Those were top cola jars with that seemed to be the most likely not to be fully dry. Burped in evening. Spot check one of the jars...
Drying 8 Days (9th day) - A Durban Poison top-cola jar weighed 33.31 grams and increased to 33.36 grams with a 58% 2-way Boveda 8g pack after 24 hours. Being a negligible difference, I’m calling it “dry.” So, 111 grams overall, 98 of which are top colas. These are a bit more dense than the ggxww and i think higher quality end product.
Total under 240w light fixture - 111+157 = 268 grams. If I grew DP out properly, I’d easily clear my target of 1.5g/w. Easily left 60-80g worth of open space.
Hi nobody
Thanks for ur advice dure i will do it wright away.
Stop watering 1day, make her some shadow and help to say out of ground...
We hope that will enough to keep her alive. Thanks so much buddy hope the best for ur clone and you top, bye and c u soon...
