As I get started on my fourth grow, I can officially call myself an award-winning cannabis grower as my First Grow diary took second place here in the newbie of the month for April!! Now to get some award winning level cannabis! Seeds were planted on 5.18.20 and four out the five seeds germinated the morning of 5.23.20. Accordingly, 5.23.20 is Day 0 and 5.24.20 is Day 1 and so and so forth. One seed did not germinate and I dug it up on Day 5 to find it filled with dirt after barely splitting open on one end. All told into my fourth grow I have germinated 1/1, 3/4, 10/10, and 4/5 seeds for a 90% success rate. That seems pretty good to me. Once they sprouted up, I've kept them lightly watered every other day with filtered pH 6.8 water. They are in .9L plastic pots filled with leftover Fox Farm Ocean Forrest from my previous grow. That soil was mixed up and let to chill in a large, closed plastic container for about 2 weeks. Probably around day 10-12 I'll transplant with as much of that soil around the roots into new 5 gallon Air-Pots and new Ocean Forrest. Additionally, I acquired the Advanced Nutrients GMB Trio that I'll be adding in at some point. Maybe start at 1/4 strength after the second week in the new pots. We'll see. But once I start feeding, I will be making a schedule to which I shall strictly adhere. One more note early, my best grows so far (out of three to be fair...) were mostly in the tent without much foliage competition. My third grow I crowded the tent aggressively. It worked, to an extent, but I think I'll have much more success with only 4 plants and much more space for them to spread and flourish. Additionally, without the taproots getting all gunked up with a peat pot, I should have much better stable growth. Overall, I'm really excited to grow these Kera Seeds Cherry Grapefruit Autoflower seeds! I know it's early days but everything seems good so far! Just finished up my Third Go grow diary and am looking forward to trying to keep regular updates on this guy. Day 7 Update: So far so good. Watered and looking pretty healthy.

Day 9 Update: Not much new. I've been providing a little bit more water each time and increasing the overall length between water. I haven't really started feeding the pH Perfect GMB but there was a little in a spray bottle one day and they got a small amount of that...like 2-3 ounces tops. Otherwise, nothing to really report. The .9L pots they're in should allow for a fair bit of growth before needing to be transplanted. I've been trying to figure out the best time to do the transplant, and at this point, I'm thinking around day 16-18, but I don't know for sure. We'll see. Day 10 Update: Plants got water early this morning. A couple ounces with some pH Perfect GMB trio that I was feeding some other flowers/veggies and another 4ish ounces of filtered tap. Looked good this morning! Pictures added from late 6.2.20. #4 looks to be falling behind but the other three look solid. More of a note to self, let them grow normal. I've stressed all my grows pretty heavily so I'm trying to do as little training as possible. One reason is to just let the plant grow and the other, more important reason is to start to develop a baseline on what 'normal' growth and yield looks like. As this is advertised as a sativa-dominant hybrid that grows 'short', I'm hopeful my tent will be tall enough. The RQS seeds grew into my two tallest plants yet at about 34-36 inches (85-90 cm). As best as I recall, my current setup could have accommodated about 6 more inches of growth without being dangerously close to the lights. Day 11 Update: Nothing to report Day 12 Update: Plants will get water in the AM of Day 13. Day 13 Update: Plants got water this morning. Still seem strong. All the stalks feel pretty rigid already and one stalk is almost as thick as the smallest stalk from my third grow. To be fair, that third grow had some serious malfunctions. Allegedlys. Day 14 Update: Nothing new to report today. Moving over the next couple days so they’ll get moved a bit and then transplanted into new pots probably 6.8.20 but we’ll see if I don’t wait an extra day or two.

Day 15 Update: Moving today. Spending on how smoothly it goes, I may transplant tonight. Day 16 Update: Plants were moved yesterday and got a bit manhandled in transport to my new place. Nothing was broken, but soil was displaced and several limbs were bent. Plants put in dark closet for time being. Bulk of moving took place today. I am le tired. Day 17 Update: Despite the overwhelming soreness and tiredness pervading my body, I persevered to re-establish my tent. I put the plants on the patio to get the morning sun. Around noon I had the tent completely reassembled. The Kera Seeds plants look great despite the move. I don’t have it in me to transplant today but I don’t think they NEED to yet. Day 18 Update: I don’t have internet service setup yet and I’m in a crappy service area for mobile so only a few pics to upload. They’re in the tent and looking well. They got some water yesterday on the patio and a bit more today. A spray bottle full with some GMB trio that was going to other plants. Plan to transplant tomorrow after this watering. I also kind of lost track of which was each number, but I’ll try to figure it out. Planning on putting a marker in for each when I transplant. Day 19 Update: Transplanted!! Not too heavily watered after, so I’ll maybe need more tonight or tomorrow, but otherwise the transplant went great. All four were starting to show some root circling, but were far from rootbound. Day 20 Update: Transplant seems successful. Nothing else to report. Day 21 Update: Watered each plant about a liter. Four ml of each of the GMB Trio mixed in one gallon plus a bit of filtered tap. I put binder clips of different colors to distinguish each plant.

Day 22 Update: Plants watered on day 21 with nutrients. Just water tomorrow or day 24. They seem to be doing well with very little effects from transplanting. Excited to watch them develop over the next few weeks! Instead of referring to them by a number, they’ll get the color designation of the clip on each plant Orange, Silver, Violet, and Pink. Still planning on a better distinguishing marker, but I’m lazy. Day 23 Update: Nothing to report. Day 24 Update: Plants just got about 1.5 gallons total of filtered tap. They look great. I’ll be doing 1 ml/L of the GMB Trio every other watering for the next three-ish weeks. That’s the current schedule. Day 25 Update: Nothing to report today. Day 26 Update: Nothing to report Day 27 Update: Water around noon; 4 ml/gal of each of the GMB Trio. Just water next. Three days may be too long between watering. Day 28 Update: Everything looks great. Three are clearly into flowering with the fourth a few days behind.

Quick hits: plants labeled by color of clip on pot, moved around day 15, plants tumbled in a box but not too stressed, transplanted on day 18, flowering began on day 24, plants in 5 gallon airpots with fresh ocean forrest, every other watering getting small doses of Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect GMB Trio. I update pretty much every day with much more detail — see below :) Day 29 Update: They could get water tonight, but I think I’ll do it in the morning. Just filtered tap next to continue the every other water feeding schedule. They started flowering around day 24, but I don’t have any good shots of early flowering. They’re growing about an inch per day right now. I’d guess they’re about two weeks ahead of any of my other grows probably due to the limited stress in these plants: move and tumble in a box and the transplant. At any rate, I’m very happy with the status of this grow. I’ve tried to include some more pics with this update but still slow data where I’m at now. The shot of the cola was from V last night, Day 28. Three of the plants are clearly into flowering for several days now and the fourth (O) seems to have started flowering in earnest today. Day 30 Update: Plants got water late at night. Roughly 3 gallons filtered tap. I poured straight on the soil first and it just ran off to the side and out many holes, so I subsequently did a little tilling to loosen the top half inch and finished watering. Day 31 Update: well I was pretty good and stoned earlier from my RQS Royal Gorilla and just stared at them for a while tonight. They seem healthy and robust. I have some Northern Lights RQS seeds so they may be next because I felt like my overcrowded tent did them a disservice. Point being, I’m being a much better gardener this time around and the Kera Seeds are clearly up to the task. Nothing to actually update about the plants. Day 32 Update: New photos from tonight. Water sometime tomorrow with 4 ml/gal of GMB Trio. I’m enjoying just watching them grow without any training or major stress. They seem to be thriving and are all over 17 inches with one a bit over 18 (roughly 42-45 cm). The seal on my tent is sort of causing me some issues. It pulls in very tight even with my exhaust fan on low. You can see the result in V having some very wide branches where the ten has been training growth to the side. I repositioned V and P so less of the tent will push in on V. I have an old tension rod holding the other side and will probably go find another soon. That would be my second complaint about my tent which I otherwise love: a center support beam for the skeleton. The first would be an exhaust fan port on the bottom instead of window vents. *Pics organized by plant tonight: yay or nah?* Day 33 Update: I think I like organizing the pictures by plant/picture type rather than all by day. Big update for the plants today. First, water for all with 4 ml/gal of pH Perfect GMB Trio. Then the most minor of defoliation just of some smaller leave and two shoots that were blocking watering. I’ll mark it as a growing technique, but it was seriously minor. After last night’s repositioning, I do think the tent is less of an issue. I might go buy a tension rod tomorrow though. Lots of new photos tonight. Day 34 Update: No pics tonight. I did get two spring tension rods to hold back the tent. I’ll post a shot sometime showing the suction on the tent with and without the rods. Should allow for some more foliage to spread. I’ve been moving the lights to keep them at about 12 inches and they’re now about 20-21 inches each. The fourth (O) is still lagging well behind on flowering. Day 35 Update: Nothing to report. I’m stoned and feeling lazy so no pics tonight either. Full update and water tomorrow.

Quick hits: plants referenced by color of clip on pot, moved around day 15, plants tumbled in a box but not too stressed, transplanted on day 18, flowering began on day 24, plants in 5 gallon airpots with fresh ocean forrest, every other watering getting small doses of Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect GMB Trio. I update pretty much every day with much more detail — see below :) Day 36 Update: For real this time. I noticed a couple leaves with upturned tips last night. They were a little crunchy tonight so probably some nutrient burn happening. I’m not too concerned. All four plants are in the exact same situation and the other three look perfectly healthy. I watered all plants tonight as much as they could seem to take. I’ll likely not feed any to S the next time, but otherwise, and honestly if more symptoms show I’ll flush all of them, proceed with my schedule. Day 37 Update: I don’t feel like taking pics tonight, but they’re good. The nutrient burn is obviously not going to stop showing on the affected leaves, but I’ll keep an eye out for spreading on S. Day 38 Update: I repositioned the plants in the tent and measured them this morning. O is up to 26 inches while S, V, and P are 23, 20 and 19 respectively. About a dozen leaves on S have signs of nutrient burn but as far as I can tell, that’s it and none of the others seem to have any spotting on their leaves. Scheduled to feed tomorrow but S will likely just get water. New pictures from this morning added. Day 39 Update: Not really sure if the nutrient burn got any worse; it doesn't seem like it. S got water already tonight, about 1.5 gal filtered tap around 6.6 pH. O, in its new place, had two branches get caught by the tension rod supports and were growing, uh, peculiarly. I took a wire clothes hanger and bent it into a long U shape and tied those two limbs up. Shouldn't be much of an issue, but I could've caught it sooner but I didn't open the tent at all yesterday after I repositioned the plants. Not sure if that, the repositioning, will have any net effect, but the canopy seems to be close to full from the top view. I got interrupted and will need to water and feed O, V, and P later tonight. I'll plan on adding new pictures then. Day 40 Update: Only S actually got water yesterday. O, V, and P all got about as much as they could take with 4 ml/gal pH Perfect Trio per gallon. I gave all the plants a fairly thorough inspection and I cannot detect any issues other than the nutrient burn on S. One of the pictures added today shows about 8 leaves with some issues. There’s maybe another half dozen on S, but it doesn’t seem to be spreading rapidly if at all anymore. One day it’ll disappear... Pretty smooth sailing otherwise. Trichomes are starting to pop up all over all of the buds except O. O is still a week or so behind flowering and also by far the tallest. Maybe a less dominant phenotype showing through? Days 41 & 42 Update: No new pictures either of these days nor anything to report on the plants. I barely checked them. Whatever is going wrong with S is still progressing.

Quick overall update: issues with one of the four, maybe nutrient burn, maybe something else; plants referenced by a binder clip color, S, V, O, and P; flowering began around day 24; ocean farm soil transplanted on day 18; filtered tap and Advanced Nutrients Perfect pH GMB Trio I try to update pics every other day and report news on the plant daily or as necessary. Day 43 Update: Lazy bum today. Checked on them after the lights went back on and seemed okay. Day 44 Update: I only slept for a few hours and have been up since, well, 1ish my time and now it’s five am. Whatever. They clearly needed water earlier than today though, so I did learn that around the day 40 mark whatever I’ve been putting their pots needs more after two, not three days. No major damage done, but I know stress during flower affects yield and yada yada yada did I mention the lobster bisque? Anyways, I also realized it was likely time to increase the overall nutrients. I’d been giving 1/4 strength with every other watering and three of four look pretty great (okay, maybe not the stretchy guy). So I roughly doubled the amount of each to 10 ml/gallon. All got roughly the same of about three gallons. I patiently waited between each watering of each plant at least 5 minutes so the water would settle. My setup can’t really handle runoff water at the moment so the slow approach usually works. So yeah, S was either burned or some kind of deficient. If the others start to show some burn after this feeding, I’ll flush them all. I’m still no expert but from my experience so far, my guess is that the first of the staggered harvest might be in as little as three weeks. Aromas are still fairly faint. Heights for S, O, V, and P (left to right in the tent) — 24, 32, 21, and 19 inches Day 45 Update: Nothing major to report. S is struggling bad. Water tomorrow maybe. Day 46 Update: Missed. Day 47 Update: Water for all. Should have probably yesterday, but plants look okay. Maybe some deficiencies/burn starting on plants P & V. Pictures on my phone from tonight will be uploaded eventually. Day 48 Update: Nothing to report. Day 49 Update: Water with nutrients for all tonight. Pics from tonight also uploaded soon. O has finally seemed to stop growing and is producing buds in earnest now. S is burned to all hell. Honestly, I'm not sure if I should considering just chucking it. I'll do some more reading before I do anything drastic.

Quick Summary: moved and transplanted around day 18 into 5 gal. airpots with fresh ocean forrest, flowering began around day 24, thought I maybe had some nutrient burn, more likely cause is phosphorous and/or cal/mag deficiencies, three plants in the home stretch, O has a bit longer Day 50 Update: Watered and took some pictures last night. Not much new. Pretty sure they have massive deficiencies instead of any burn. I may chronically underwater/underfeed my plants. I'm still learning. This is my fourth grow ever so there's still lots to learn. Day 51 Update: Meant to water today but didn't. Day 52 Update: I spent a while with each plant and took some pictures/video when plant O was out of the tent. You can see some pretty clear brown spots on a fair bit of the shorter two plants. S is all kinds of ugly, but who knows, maybe still put out a decent weight. I fed twice in a row now and added some CaliMagic (forget the company name) this time. I read about how when there are stronger lights or MORE lights, the plants can burn through phosphorous rapidly, so maybe that's the issue I had. Either way, about day 40 seems like when the nutrients can be more steadily increased. The shorter two, V and P, have about 2ish weeks so that will likely be their last feeding. S too probably. O, on the other hand, has several weeks left but is looking otherwise really solid. Hopefully I got enough nutrients in early enough in that plant's flowering that it won't show any deficiencies. It's a monster too! 38 inches to the top of the spire. The other three are 25, 21, and 19 inches still so likely their final heights. I kept the tallest as the plant height for the diary because the top end is good to know for other indoor growers. Day 53 Update: No news. Day 54 Update: No news. Day 55 Update: S, V, and P are the three shorter plants. They are all starting to take water a bit slower. They didn’t *need* water tonight, so I’ll give them another day. O, on the other hand, is a monster! Probably needed water yesterday. Filtered tap, about 2 gal for O tonight. Food next time for O also. Others are in the wind-down so we’ll see. Pics added from tonight. Day 56 Update: Nothing to report.

Day 62 Update: Water and food. Pics uploaded from days 58 & 62. Daily journal to be updated soon along with photo details. Days 63-69 Update: Nothing to do really but keep an eye on water and when to harvest. Letting the smaller three use up their stored energy rather than give more food. The big guy is still going to get nutrients because there’s a while left. Sometime this coming week I’ll chop down the shorter three plants. Trichomes are about 80% cloudy, but very little amber. Day 70 Update: nothing new to report.

Day 71 Update: water today and likely pulled out and put in a closet for 48 hrs starting Tuesday or Wednesday. O is still well behind but seems to be on track for quite a harvest. S, V, and P are going to be harvested simultaneously in one go and then O will have the tent for its last week or two. Since O is still mid-flower, it got 8 ml of each of the GMB pH Perfect Trio in one gallon and the rest just got filtered tap. Day 73 Update: Lot of action today. Uploading pics from my phone, will update with tags and details from desktop later.
