Once I see some root action on the sides I'll wait about two days to encourage the growth of air roots which are incredibly fibrous and have a huge surface area compared to just individual roots with now fibers . As soon as the roots look like pipe cleaners I'll very carefully put it into a pot of soil with mycorrhizae to further increase the surface area of roots .

I started by just trimming two top fans off and the center leaf of the next two fans coming up.Kind of like fiming. Then bent her over and tied her down lol (GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE GUTTER HAHA). Once I saw the other branches begin to get larger I then went ahead and topped her . It was an experiment I wanted to see if there was any benefit to trying to gain a few branches before topping. Let's see how she responds to it . So far she has not shown any signs of slowing down and she looks over all healthy.
She is coming along nicely. This strain responds extremely well to hst. Since last week I have topped the two tops achieved from the first topping. And I also FIMed or topped the remaining branches as well . It hasn't shown sign of stress and resumed growth within 1 day. I expect several more future tops to show you next week and a lot of growth because I i don't plan on any more hst so it will be able to just grow uninterrupted until then . See you next week.
She's healed up nicely from a recent super cropping and branch topping session . Its starting to reach up again so next I'll be tying down branches. I have high hopes for this plant. And for good reason , just read the name of it GLUE COOKIES ... gorilla glue is one of my favorite strains I've ever grown and girl scout cookies is just well girl scout cookies need i say more . Lol
Well i figured now is as good of tine as any ti switch her over to 12 12. Shes got plenty of tops and i also plan on keeping her branches tied down and out for the duration of the initial stretch. She is only 9 inches because i released her branches to re situate them in a better position but once i get them tied back down she sits at about 6 inches and is about 18 inches wide. Im confident ill gain at keast 8 or 9 more tops worth keeping before the stretch is over with, which will give a pretty decent yield. I would go bigger but Ive got other strains growing in the same area and need all the extra room I can get.
Well i decided to let the branches go so they are free to just make big long classes. The reason I did this was because of the fact I am upgrading my lighting situation and I'll have room for more strains . I defoliated the bottom third of the plant as well.
So far this strain has been a delight to grow. If I would of had the resources to do it correctly ( more lights/room) when i started this journal , I definitely would have kept her in veg for at least another 3 weeks and utilized the Scrog method. But the good news is that I have a new light that is showing up on my doorstep any minute and I just so happened to have taking clones from her so stay tuned for that journal cuz it should be awesome.
This strain is definitely living up to both of its resinous parents for sure did you see how frosty its getting!! I can't wait till those buds plump up and fill the rest of the way out so I can harvest that sticky goodness. Im super excited to get a taste of this one because it smells amazing, really pungent but with a little sweet citrus aroma.
Well its getting extremely difficult to wait until the end but I know that if I harvest now these seemingly big bids will shrivel down to little spindly shadows of there former selves. Been there done that lol. But even knowing that I am still having a very difficult time dealing with amazing intense aroma coming off of it. It's crazy cuz I'm not without herb at all but I still have to give myself the talk multiple times a day to not cut her down. Its going to be a long month thats all I know. I think its just because its been a while since I've harvested anything and im sort biting at the bit to start filling my drying racks . This isn't my only flowering plant right now either I also have a green crack that's barely behind this one and i also have a girl scout cookies, another green crack,an og kush auto,and a red poison auto that all just began their flowering cycle so ill get my wish soon enough. I'll be trimming till my hearts content .So basically a couple of the biggest buds then I'm pawning it off on my ol lady.What? Tell me you haven't done the same thing I dare you lol. Besides she does a good job.
Around what do you guys think this plant will yield ? Ive got a mix pack of 4 including zkittles,bruce banner fast,blueberry ghost og, and last but not least wedding cake. Closest geuss wins. Limit 1 geuss per person. And to speed things up just geuss the wet weight.
I am not feeding her this week to start the process of flushing her out. It shouldn't take too long since I've used mostly organic nutrients throughout her whole life its just the bloom boosters and silaca boost that aren't organic and the bloom boosters I use are pretty stout , averaging around 50 percent phosphorus. Truth be told I maybe could have fed this week and still had plenty of time to flush but better safe than sorry . Harsh smoke sucks so i do try hard to avoid it at all cost. That means a good thorough flush and slow drying / curing process.
Excellent smoke next time I'll veg longer to get bigger yield. The maxsisun light was really sweet,so much so I ordered 2 more of the maxsisun pb 200 check them out you'll be glad you did.
@QuantumSkies,well I did what you said and I grew a monster gorilla cookies strain. Technically its a gorilla girl but its just sweet seeds version of gorilla cookies. Check it out im doing a diary on it now . It's been vegging for 12 weeks if that tells you anything , like I said monster.
You should find MrGrowIt on youtube. He has resent video with first official research results about flush.
Cure sorts any hatshness, but can you stay away for 6 month from your Beauty ;)))

I agree one other obvious sign of whether or not its been flushed or not is the color of your ash when you smoke a joint. If its black there's still chemicals present if its white your most likely clean. And like you said your lungs don't lie they know what's harsh and what isn't. @growtenthobo, despite growing in soil and fully organic ( i lie ;))) ) i still start to put girls on Nitrogen diet since week 6 of flower and totally cut off nutes 3 weeks till harvest. I add molasses to every second watering for one more week and last 2 - is totally phed water , not lower than 6.8
That way even without cure taste not so bad, but after 2 month she is AMAZING and gets better and better with every day after .
If its summer and i can flush without drowning house, by doing it outside, i flush heavy, like 40-50 liters for each plant in one go. After 4 days with 30liters pots they still dry out, do 3-4 waves and have a cue of people wanting to have a spliff with me ;))
Now organic point, i add epsom salt to soil before planting, on lower part of pot,for roots to meet it at week 3 of veg and i use Silica Acid Solar power if leaves colour too pale, or branches too weak and wont hold future colas ...
But you see, first research found no grounds for flushing, but my lungs and tongue has different feelings to that opinion ...
To be honest I talk a big game but following through with a really long cure is incredibly hard and honestly I still end up liking the flavor although it does seem to get better with age.(it just seldom makes it that far )but I do cure just not for a very long timeand I have recently started flushing way later because I changed the way I feed i switch to all organic about three weeks before harvest and stop feeding all together the last week. It has worked out well for me so far@AsNoriu,

@TheCheapyGrower,Ya I've noticed that with some of the autoflowers I've grown they tend to be kind of late developers but do eventually come around. I have an og kush auto thats displaying the same characteristic. Photoperiods on the other hand are the exact opposite i remember seeing tricks sprinkled lightly on the leaves during veg and just absokutely caked like this one all the way throughout flowering.
