5/15: Planted in coco inside jiffy pellets. Watered with pH'ed water and Great White.
5/19: Both finally popped above soil! Hubbabubbasmelloscope looks to be a bit runty so i just began germinating an alternate Hubba in a jiffy pot just in case.
5/21: going smoothly so far! Hopefully HBSS catches up to the Zam
5/23: continuing smoothly. Feeding 0.55 EC (total) of Mega Crop (1.25 GRAMS. not ML. why isnt grams an option?) and Silica for all three. I cut out the CalMag until the plant shows me deficiencies, and I wont be soil drenching with SNS209 until i can drench the entire pot (or most of it, at least). The mini HBSS is already growing! Impressive.
5/25: All of the plants are growing particularly slowly. I’m wondering if maybe they aren’t getting enough food. However I’m feeding them Mega Crop at 1/8tsp (appx: 0.83g) per gallon along with 2ml of silica. So I raised the light intensity to 12k lux MAX...we’ll see if that makes a difference. I’ll also wait another week before raising their feed level.
Day 10: Zamaldelica is growing like a champ! They are now getting 0.55 EC (1.5 g) of Mega Crop.
I’ve cut out the silica until they’ve all reached 3 nodes (perhaps even 4). HBSS 1 is probably not going to make it.
She’s been runty her whole life and her sister HBSS2 is half her age and almost as developed as HBSS1.
Still though, I’ll give them all time to grow a little more before culling.
I’ve also ordered Autopots! So once they’re ready for the final pots, they’ll be going into 2.2gal pots :) very exciting.
As the theme of "im learning as im going" continues, ive realized that during its early life, plants in coco really dont need to be watered every single day. Because i was watering it every single day, i got green algae (classic overwatering sign) on my perlite and the Zamaldelica Express suffered really messy pH and overwatering symptoms. Because of that, i think its going to stay fairly small. But its a learning lesson and its slowly but surely bouncing back.
I also got rid of the HBSS 1 as it was much too runty and the HBSS 2 was thriving better -- albeit a little yellow (underfed).
6/10: I did the first round of LST on both plants. They took to it well. Top fed half a solo cup for each plant with 1/64 tsp of recharge. ZE Started showing pre-flowers on 6/9.
6/11: Turned on the res for the autopots as well as the air pump for the airdomes.
@GYOweed, lol for real. im glad im growing another strain right alongside so i dont have to be stressing out over the way Zamaldelica looks. Im pretty much at the point where i dont care what she looks like as long as shes still growing and gives me some tasty buds.
