Found an old film case of seeds from a guy I visited in Mendocino back in 2003. They have been lost until now. Didn't know if they would germinate, so didn't start this dairy from seed. Also will be adding a few auto strains in a few weeks. So, handpicked 6 seeds, and all 6 germed fine. Found out my 5 year old ph tester doesn't work anymore after plants showed signs of bad ph at week 1. 2 plants were in bad shape, but they were the runts so just pulled em. As you can see in pics the growth after correcting ph issue is healthy, and only affected first leaves.
Plants have doubled in size over past 8 days, and growth is running full speed. Topped em, and gave them a light training to spread em out a little. Will top once more in another node or 2, but that will be about it other than some bending. Have them in my autoflower house for now because there final home got badly impacted by grasshoppers, so they will stay there loving life for another week , until grasshoppers are finished being dealt with. Autos already germing indoors, so they cant stay long
Hrowth has been explosive this week. One plant is producing quad nodes for the last 2 nodes of all branches, and that plant is the healthiest, most stout by a good amount. Sending good vibes for it to be female. 2 others are producing tri nodal branching, starting at the same time as the quad. 3 have just started showing sex, but still too early to tell. Scope shows round teardrop shape on all 3
but no pistols yet, so can still probably go either way. Will know by next week . Last, and least, is the only plant not showing sex, or abnormal branching. It's about 2-3 inches shorter than the rest, but still very healthy, and strong.
Have done gorrillia grows pretty much every year, since 1990 in so California coast, for my personal smoke. This will be my first grow in this environment. Now live in eastern az on new mex boarder, at 9000 foot elevation. Temps are swinging from 75-85 daytime, to 37-55 nights, with heavy breeze daily. Past 2 days 50-60mph winds, and very dry. Monsoon season in aug/Sept will bring around 10-20 inches of rain. So far the plants are very tolerant of the wide swings in environment, showing no stress as temps dropped to high 30s for 4 days last week, while same day temps were 80
