BKG on AH 1gal vs. 3gal Comparative Grow

What's Good GD Community! Expanded grow to another small closet so I could get to more of the seeds I went OCD on ordering! Grow Room 2 is 3.5ft x 2ft running a Meihzi Reflector Series 150w LED (I would absolutely love to get an Electric Sky ES300 LED Grow Light but the price tag is just out of reach!). Moved my Nefertiti 2 and Amnesia Haze 2 grows into this room as well as this comparative grow here. Had 2 Expert Seeds Amnesia Haze Auto seeds left and decided to pop them for a comparative GD to see how AH will grow in different size smart pots. My Amnesia Haze 1 diary was grown in 5gal bucket (She is an absolute monster!), so this comp grow will be 1 in 3gal & 1 in 1gal smart pots. I will be training them the same way as my AH 1 grow to see what size growing container gives me a more manageable sized end product with this training regime! These 2 beautiful Ladies were soaked in water for 24hrs before planting directly into end pots. Soil is Nature's Care Organic with 3 eggs on 3 inches of soil in bottom. They popped pretty much the next day and have had normal growth since 1/18/18. I gave a small first feeding with BioBizz's Week 1 schedule: Root-Juice, Bio-Grow & Bio-Heaven. (Be sure to spread those Good Vibes and Cannabis Love whenever and wherever you can) Coming at you with my Comparative Grow - Challenging Expert Seeds Amnesia Haze Autos against each other in 2 different Smart Pot sizes! 1 of these Ladies is in a 1gallon & 1 is in a 3gallon. This last Thursday marked beginning of Week 2 so I am a bit behind. As you can see, both of these sexy Ladies are doing well and have grown quite a bit from Week 1! I'm stunned though that there is already a huge visible difference between the 2 Girls: 3gal Smart Pot is 3in tall x 5in wide with a fairly high internodal spacing. ---------------------- Both are bringing in their 3rd Nodes. 1gal Smart Pot is 2in tall x 7in wide with a fairly tight internodal spacing. I've read many articles that say Cannabis plants in Seedling stage will grow height in proportion to depth of main tap root, and this test is looking to confirm this. What I didn't expect is to see such a difference in width & internodal spacing. The 1gal Smart Pot is a shorter, wider & tighter Gal than Her Sister which can be a big plus for growers. In fact, Tight internodal spacing is one of the variables breeders look for when selecting parents because the tighter She is, the more end Bud sites there will be. I'm pretty excited to see how this continues though and if the smaller pot's dense growth now will prove to be bring about a compact & "Buddy" Girl in the end or if it will cap out due to pot size!! Both Girls are getting BioBizz's Week 2 Nutrients: Root-Juice, Bio-Heaven, Alg-A-Mic & Fish-Mix with Alg-A-Mic & Fish-Mix also utilized as a foliar spray. Both of these Ladies are looking great! The 1gal Gal is definitely shorter and denser than Her 3gal Sister, but both have made it to 3rd nodes with no signs of issues. Topped 3rd node on both Ladies last week and they took it like champs!! Besides that, There's not a whole lot to discuss. Feeding them BioBizz Week 3 Nutes: Bio-Heaven, Alg-A-Mic and Fish-Mix. Also adding Expert Gardener Tomato and Vegetable Cal/Mag/Zinc Time-Released supplement this week. Cal/Mag/Zinc is all you need to supplement BioBizz Nutrient line - I use 2 Teaspoons pellets spread around plant and then stirred into top soil before watering - Once around week 3 and then in first week of flower. Heyo GD Community! (Be sure to spread those Good Vibes and Cannabis Love whenever and wherever you can) Here we are at Start of Week 4 for this Expert Seeds Amnesia Haze Auto Comparative Grow! This Grow is documenting 2 Amnesia Haze Autos planted in 2 different size smart pots. 1 in a 1gallon pot and 1 in a 3gallon pot. Both were planted and grown with the exact same method and fed the exact same nutrient regime (with the obvious exception that the smaller pot receives a bit less overall liquid due to size). At first, The 3gallon pot showed much taller and spread out nodal growth with the 1gallon pot being shorter with a tighter internodal spacing, but once Week 3's 3rd node Topping was completed, These Ladies both recovered to darn near the same looking profile! The 3gallon pot's Gal is slightly more advanced in my opinion, but they are much closer at this point than I would have imagined them to be!! From this point forward, I am not going to do anything with these Gals. The 3rd node Topping done last week is all Im going to do - Want to get good results on this test 😉 Very excited to see how this one goes from here and if the end results are very different or if they stay as similar as they are now! I just cant see them staying this close for much longer!!! Note: I re-did my DIY CO2 Generators at the time of doing this GD... It was supposed to be done weekly with my Amnesia Haze #1 Diary, but I was lazy that day and pushed it off till now! On a Side Note to this Note: I changed the recipe I use for my Generators from sugar water and active dry yeast to dry malt and beer yeast at @Quexos' suggestion! Really starting to see a difference in these 2 Gals - The 3gal pot is fuller on all accounts despite both Girls being very healthy! Neither have produced pistils yet, but I feel like they are close so I moved to BioBizz's Transition week feeding schedule which is: Bio-Grow, Bio-Bloom, Top-Max, Bio-Heaven, and Alg-A-Mic. The 1gal is drinking about .5gal of water every 3 days or so and the 3gal is downing about .75gal every other day. I did not do any Trimming or LSTing this last week... I feel like they are right where I want them to be on training regime, so I'll just let them go as is. May do an under-carriage cleanup lollipop style if they get dense enough to need it though. Heyo GrowDiaries Fam! (Be sure to spread those Good Vibes and Cannabis Love whenever and wherever you can) Very excited about this comparative grow! We're now at Week 6 on this Expert Seeds Amnesia Haze Auto and things are starting to heat up!! There's a definite difference now between the 2 Pot sizes: 1 gallon Pot - She kicked into flowering about 4 days before Her sister and then immediately went into a vertical stretch with good Budsite creation and Bud Development. I am having to feed Her .25 gallons every day though because the Pot is bone dry every morning. I sense that because She was in a smaller pot, She engaged flowering faster as a defense mechanism, but it has resulted in desirable growth! 3 gallon Pot - Just kicked into flower 2 days ago and hasn't really shown a stretch yet. She's much more squat and with a more dense canopy. She's much wider than Her sister, but days behind on flowering. I have a feeling that She will kick off just like the 1 gallon and I expect it to out-perform as well in the end. She's only drinking around .25 gallons every other day, but would think that will increase once stretching does fire off. Feeding them both BioBizz's Flowering Nutrients: Bio-Grow, Bio-Bloom, Top-Max, Bio-Heaven, & Alg-A-Mic. Also fed them Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Sulfate and Molasses. I added another 60w JCBritw Reflector Series LED to my Grow Room 2. This LED has IR/UV and full-spectrum light just like the Meihzi Reflector Series 300w. I wanted to give a slightly better light spread and my friend gave me the LED for free, so it worked out well. Not Much else to report this week besides a bit of Defoliation here and there on both Girls.
