Thank you! And you are correct to really thrive mycorrhizae require nutrients to my knowledge, you are also definitely about growing myco on rice, coconut I have not tried but I don’t know why it wouldn’t work. Are you using the Korean natural farming techniques for growing myco spores(seedlings)?
I used rice to propagate the myco on and brown sugar to dehydrate, worked very well. I have also found spent grain from brewing beer to work very well to grow the rice/myco and has other benefits like being a mild nitrogen source for composting. The grain must be very fresh though, even 6 hours after brewing because of the heat and water in the grain it will turn anaerobic if not spread out to dry.
