Toofless Monkey // Fox Farm VS NFTG

5/22/2020: This entry was made for the germination day. No growth yet, just waiting for seeds to pop. Here is a brief record of the germination method I'm using: -Soak seeds for 8-12 hours in room temp RO water with 1 tsp Zeus Juice to 1 oz of water -Make sure Root Riot cubes are still appropriately moist. Gently squeeze the sides, and you should see moisture ooze out of the top. If not, put the cubes in a bowl of room temp RO water, then let drain before using. Cubes should be spongy and moist, not saturated. -Make the hole in the RR cube a tiny bit deeper. Sprinkle a tiny bit of Mykos inside the Root Riot cube before you put the seed in. Put the seed in the cube with the pointy end facing down. -Put Root Riot cubes in starter tray - add seed dry then add 5 mL per cube of 6.2 pH RO water w/ syringe -Place dome tray on top of seedling heat mat, use at least 1 layer of corrugated cardboard between mat & tray -Put tray in tent, reduce intensity of LED light to 200w & hang at 30” distance - DO NOT TURN ON LIGHT YET! -Keep hood vents closed, keep it dark, wait for seeds to pop -Remove heat mat after all seeds have popped, turn on LED light once cotyledons appear, start opening vents to keep RH between 70-80% //////////////////// Some additional background on my grow for whomever is interested: SEEDS 5 x Chef Anna “Toofless Monkey” 1 x Chef Anna Casserole Surprise (one of the following: Toof Grizzley, Pink Teddy, 3 Piece Nugget, Toofless Monkey, Toofless Tyrone, Gucci Dreams, & Monster Breath) SOIL PREP 6 x 5 gallon Smart Pots 3 bags of Nectar for the Gods potting soil #4 6 x (4.5 gallons Nectar for the Gods soil #4 + 57 g Perlite) FEED SCHEDULE Every 3rd day: FEED - off - off - FEED NUTRIENTS 3 plants using Fox Farm “Dirty Dozen” pack 3 plants using Nectar for the Gods Sample pack SUPPLEMENTS -Cultured Biologix EZ Tea Veg // 5 - 10 mL In place of feedings thruout veg -Cultured Biologix EZ Tea Bloom // 5 - 10 mL In place of feedings thruout bloom -RealGrowers reCharge // 5 mL Weekly -Extreme Gardening Mykos // 4 tablespoons / plant (Germination) -South Cascade Organics SLF-100 // Every feeding w/ NFTG plants 5-20 mL SLURRY TESTS -before planting (day 0) -mid veg (approx. day 19) -late veg (approx.day 31) -mid-bloom (approx.day 48) -any time you see a problem CULTURED BIOLOGIX EZ TEAS + reCharge -Only for NFTG plants -Use RO water pH’d to 6.5 -mix in 5 - 10 mL / gallon of EZ Tea powder -add 5 mL / gallon reCharge powder -check pH again before feeding SLF-100 -Only for the NFTG-fed plants -5mL / gallon on every FEED day

TRANSPLANTING -Once white taproots are visible through the bottom of the tray, cubes are ready to be moved to soil pots. -When planting in soil, make a hole large enough for RR cube. Using a misting bottle w/ 6.5 pH’d RO water, make the sides of the RR cube wet, as well as the hole in the soil. -Pour about 4 tablespoons of Mykos onto a paper plate. Gently roll the RR cube on all sides through the Mykos so it sticks. Sprinkle whatever remaining Mykos you have left into the transplant hole in soil, covering both the bottom and the sides as well. -After planting, gently water-in with 2 cups/ plant of 6.5 pH’d RO water. Keep RH high (70-80% RH) and temps appropriate for Baby phase (78-80*F). Keep soil moist with 6.5 pH RO water, check several times per day.
