Learning every grow :)

Germinated all March 20 - March 30 Started with an cheap LED light it quickly outgrew. Have been growing under the natural sunlight by day, and by night been sitting with my flowering plants under 600w MH bulb. Once again not expecting much from a MH bulb when vegging. So far lessons learned... The mainlining I wanted to do, I should of left the 2 growth tips at node 1 after the first split. Due to this and my plants now maturing and growing asymmetrical leave nodes, im doing 4 colas on each, but trying to stretch them a bit first like mainlining. Don't leave leaves on for long when mainlining. So much wasted time and effort. One plant shows very quick growth to the shape I want if I don't let the leaves grow past 3 inches.

Repotted a few days ago, the plants havnt rooted as much as I'd like. The medium was wet and soaked still, might not be great drainage in these milk jugs, maybe should of gave less water. Buried them deep, have my fabric finishing containers now, should be good to go. Giving 250mL a day roughly, every 2/4 days CaliMagic, every 4/4 days use nutes. Other 2 days water. My mainline learning attempts broke off 1 branch off each plant due to tying down in high winds. But somehow they are growing back, even though I had chopped these growth tips? So at what point should I flip these to veg to try and get the most out of my plants, knowing this is their final container now?

Through lots of grief, the girls are now as symmetrical as they can be and are starting asymmetrical fan leaves. Some snapped off so a couple have 7 tops, and 2 have 8. 1 is still showing major issues. He is a week behind the others, but just isn't looking well. Like ever. Have tried added nutrients, no fix, tried flushing, no fix, drying its soil out, no fix. Shes just a dumbfounded plant. No more pruning, and waiting for mother nature to turn it flowering, thought I seen a few pistils. Have decided to leave this as an outdoor grow to save power.

Hoping part of this growth is the flowering stretch, because only the rare pistil on them. Mother natures taking awhile to flip them. The purple stemmed plant I have kept nutrients from thinking it was overnutrients that caused the color change, and now I think its genetics. Only when I have added more nutrients did it start to grow more branches. My gimp plant must have been stunted from having its first 3 months under a weak LED. Nothing has fixed it. May try to replace him with a clone from my other 2. My 2 main plants have been growing great, one a bit thicker and requiring another defoil of the main cola fan leaves. Hoping to flower and stop stretching soon. July 31 - I have transplanted the tiny one. It appears that the roots have barely formed since transplant. May have been an issue of early repotting. And it seems that the containers held water well even with drain holes and moving it clumped it up into a real tight rootball it couldn't escape from. May start a clone from my other plant to replace this one if the repot doesn't fix it. Have also done another defoil. I have found that getting rid of the main cola leaves really added some thickness and length to the little branches, and focus on letting as much light into the interior of the plant as possible. To get them all going. Going to transition to flowering nutrients starting next week.

Still vegging. This crops were started way too early. Figured nature would of flipped it by now. My 4th plant that has been stunted all her life was finally scrapped. Gonna try to replace with a clone before nature flips things to bloom. 3rd place plant has been pretty woody, and refuses to grow many branches or much of anything. After flushes, repots, and ph/,nutrient. Update 1: Have decided to put the plants in my grow tent with my new Mars TS3000 LED to initiate flowering. I'm running out of weed and growing impatient haha. Update 2: 1 day in the tent and my woody, and worst plant turned out to be male. Pollen sacs everywhere. Down to 2 plants. Update 3: Finished a few days in the tent initiating flowering, did a huge defoil on the plants.

2.5 weeks into flowering, stretch is all done I believe, just raised lights again to stay at 14 inches. Did a pretty moderate defoil for week 1, and going to do a light one possibly this week to allow light and airflow to all the flowers and pump them up.

Flowering tent start: Aug 14 Estimated 5 weeks done previously, but thinking the initial flowering and stretch may have started before putting in my tent, as they are coming near end now. They seem like they will be best harvested within this week, but may harvest a couple days early as mildew is becoming a problem and lost my first flower to it today. Seems like every trichrome is milky AF anyways. Have been giving 6.3PH rainwater for the past 1.5 weeks, leaves are losing color fairly quickly as well. Going to leave for 48 hours in the darkness, then take out, cut any losses from mildew, snaps pics, and harvest. Wish me luck!

Looking forward to focusing on my younger generation of plants now and getting ready for a better diary once I start my autoflowers.
