Hello and welcome to my very first grow diary ! After a lot of research, I decided for a strain which is not only easy for beginners but also has good stealth attributes. So Auto Duck from Dutch Passion Seeds was the name of the Game. I purchased 7 Auto flowering seeds and let them soak in rainwater for 24 hours. 05/27/2020 - all of the seeds sunk to the ground and found their new home in Jiffy tabs. Now we will wait until they sprout... 05/30/2020 -day 1- sprouting day: in the morning, the first 3 sprouts appeared, during the day, 2 more showed their heads 05/31/2020 -day 2- all 7 seeds came to life, definitely speaks for the quality of Dutch Passion Seeds, all of the ducks got slightly bigger pots filled with peat. They seem to like the sun 06/01/2020 -day 3- all seedlings look healthy after their morning shower, today sunbathing again 06/02/2020 -day 4- steady progress in growth 06/03/2020 -day 5- two of the sprouts stayed a little smaller than their sisters, the rest is nearly the same height. Later that day, I was a victim of outdoor situations: heavy storm, which flipped the little greenhouse over...fortunately no big damage. Just a little spilled peat and some dirty leafs 06/04/2020 -day 6- the plants look healthy, next week, two of them will move into their new outdoor home 06/05/2020 -day 7- end of week 1, the plants grew, leafs got bigger, not too much stretching. The weather was not always good, heavy storm and not much sun in the last days forced the ducks to stay inside. Next week, hopefully the conditions will be better In the following days, I will update this diary, try to post pictures of the progress and hopefully get nice results. So feel free to have a look, give hints and advices. Together with this great community of cannabis lovers, we will raise these seeds to beautiful plants. Keep in touch ! Cheers HighZenBerg

Start of week two ! I decided to give 2 ducks a new outdoor home, the 5 left will be gifts for friends. I filled AirPots with 20 liter of BioBizz lite mix each. For nutrition, I gave them the classic BioTabs strategy. 06/08/2020 -day 10- I noticed that the new leafs on #1 seem to hang a little, maybe it’s transplanting shock. Also they did not grow much in their new environment. Will keep an eye on it... 06/12/2020 -day 14- at the end of week two, duck #1 developed some kind of yellowish marks on the leaf edges... also the leafs are in a weird shape. Duck #2 seems healthy One thing I learned regarding to next time: Don´t use these little organic pots. In my case the roots got so attached to them, that I had some root loss while repotting... Hopefully they will like their new home ! Keep in Touch ! Cheers HighZenBerg

Does anyone know what these yellowish marks on the leaf edges on duck #1 are ? At day 14 it´s very present. Also the leafs are a bit out of form in comparison with her sisters. I only gave tap water and BioTabs, night temperatures between 8-10 C, day temperatures 18-23 C

Loose the bio tabs, and replace with just spring water or tap water that has been sitting for 24 hrs.

Start of week 3. Weather conditions got better, less clouds and more sun seem to be good for the plants. 06/13/2020 -day 15- duck #1 still seems to have some problem. She grows but has a lighter greenish-yellowish color compared with her sister. Also the leafs have strange curls. I got a hint to remove the bio tabs and only give water. Maybe that will do the trick 06/16/2020 -day 18- finally a visible progress in growth. Duck #1 got back to a more natural green (thanks to a hint from Fusion 👍). Because of heavy rain, I got enough water for the two ladies 06/19/2020 -day 21- end of week 3, the ladies grew very good and got nice new leafs. So far, it really looks very decent an not like cannabis at all. Although they seem to be small in comparison with other diaries. This weeks weather was often cloudy with a lack of sun. Temperatures were between 25 C at day and 18 C at night. All in all I am happy that they seem to be healthy and growing. Looking forward to the progress in week 4. Keep in Touch ! Cheers HighZenBerg

Week 4 and the sun is shining. The 2 ducks seem to like it and did a good progress in growth. They developed the first “duckleafs”. I gave them only tap water. At the end of the week, I will try to give them LST to get more sun on the lower branches. 06/26/2020 -day28- the ducks finished week 4. The growth progress was amazing and they really developed. Today I gave them the absolute noob way of LST. All in all they look healthy and in one spot, I could see little white hairs. I think Flower will start soon. Keep in touch ! Cheers HighZenBerg

Starting week 5 and the ducks seem to develop pretty good. They grew a lot an I improved my noob LST to a (at least for me) more effective way to train them. Weather was good the last days, sunny and very warm. 07/02/2020 - LST seem to work good. The side branches got a lot bigger and the plant kept looking healthy and bushy. At the end of the week, I will give them some bacteria and molasses from BioTabs again. Keep in touch ! Cheers HighZenBerg

On day 36 I discovered some strange white stuff on top of the soil in only one pot. Looks like mold and the plant seems not to be infected. Two days ago I gave both of the BioTabs Bactrex and Molasses as scheduled. Does anyone had this issue before ?

Try spraying it with a hydrogen peroxide solution( I use a tablespoon of the drugstore type in a gallon of water), then back off on watering. Let soil dry out pretty well. If the h2o2 doesn't get it, There is a product called Serenade that is an anti-fungal. I haven't had to use it, but it was recommended by my hydro store. Also. if you haven't already, you may want to add some perlite to your soil next time to help aerate and drain soil. Good Luck🤟😜

07/10/2020 -day 43- start of week 7 and it starts to look great. The last days were cold and rainy but the ducks kept growing. So far no issues with the plant and even the mold Problem from last week solved itself. White hairs on every branch and two healthy looking plants. This weeks weather forecast says sun all the way. I am curious how we progress the next days. Keep in touch ! Cheers HighZenBerg

Welcome to week 8 and week 3 of flower. As recommended, I gave them a home brewed compost tea, because I noticed that the ducks need kalium. Last week they had a big stretch and they are almost 100cm in hight and full of little flowers. So far they look great and the smell is decent but wonderful. 07/19/2020 -day 52- these damn thirps, I noticed little white spots and holes in the leafs. Nothing serious but I spend almost 3 hours to remove them by hand because in this stage of flower, I won’t like to spray them with chemicals. Keep in touch ! Cheers HighZenBerg

We reach week 9 and the plants are big bushy Ducks coated with flowers. They got their second round of compost tea today. 07/25/2020 -day58- I noticed that some leaf branches turn violett, especially the upper ones. Thirps are still terrorising the plants but no big damage. I will collect them by hand again this weekend. Keep in touch ! Cheers HighZenBerg

Hello and welcome to week 10. The ducks look nice and the flowers develop good. Especially #2 looks great. I gave them twice the space because I noticed that the buds grew too far towards the tent walls. Winter is coming and the flowers+sugar leafs start to get sparkling trichomes. Tomorrow they will get their 3rd and last round of compost tea. Keep in touch ! Cheers HighZenBerg

Week 11 and the ducks look great. Especially at direkt sunlight, they smell wonderful. The flowers get bigger and more round every day and so far, none of the pistils get brown. I guess they will have another 3-4 weeks to get ready. The main colas are impressive (for me). Only a little damage occurred because of thirps and leaf miners but nothing serious. I can’t wait to see how they develop further. Keep in touch ! Cheers HighZenBerg

It’s week 12 and things get serious. Yellowing leafs, brown pistils and the buds get fatter and fatter. The plants look simply awesome. The only thing is, that they don’t produce much trichomes. I am curious how they progress. The pictures were taken at day 78. Dutch Passion wrote about 85-90 days outdoor. The drying tent is all set up and waits to get filled with flowers. Keep in touch ! We’ve reached week 13. At day 85, we are within the harvest window as suggested by Dutch Passion. The ducks look great so far. A few yellow leafs and the buds get more brown pistils everyday. I had a few problems with caterpillars who took a big bite out of the buds but nothing serious. I think I will let them a few more days before I chop them down at the weekend. Under microscope the trichomes looks still clear and the white pistils are in majority. I definitely want to avoid the mistake to cut them too early. Keep in touch ! Cheers HighZenBerg
