So far she’s doing great.
She is 2 weeks old and going into week 3
Nicknamed “Betty” after a long stoned train of thought that went from Snow White->Mrs.White-> Betty White-> Betty
3 weeks old as of yesterday. No visible signs of deficiencies. Didn’t res change today and will monitor progress to test her limit. Drinking water at a constant rate with minimal change in PPM
Topped her back to the 3rd node and recovered quick! New growth stretching by morning.
Went 2 weeks between Res change and zero signs of issues. Bumped to 2ml/L and will monitor progress. Thinking I have 2 weeks before ScrOG screen gets put up!
These massive fan leaves sure are shading lower growth though lol
Screen is up! Floating screen secured by coated wire and tension between tent poles. Res change is easiely done By:
Secure lid with tension to string (pic 2-4)
Remove bucket blocks
Drop bucket.
Was nervous to drop but lid is secure and zero tension or movement on the plant. Was almost too perfect
6weeks old! Still growing strong, will likely flip to 12-12 in a week. Showing signs of cal mag deficiency (I think) so I got some GH cal-mag. Ppm increased so it seems it drank more water than nutes, so I backed it down from 3.5 to 3ml/L.
Want to stabilize before I flip but seems to be doing good otherwise.
Foliage is super dense and have been selectively thinning out (good call/bad call?) attempting to get light to new shoots
OUt of town so this is a later update. Lady is 7 weeks old and flipped to 12/12 about 5 days ago. Growing about an inch a day! Seems perky and happy so far without any issues. Will probably switch to flower nutes and bloom lights this weekend.
Any comments or tips are appreciated!
Still stretching! Did the last of the defoliating (maybe one or two more stragglers under the screen) and it opened a ton of bud sites. Struggled to take decent pics as they don’t really do her justice and I guess that’s also part of the learning curve.
Started flower nutes and bloom phase on lights :)
Finally got some videos up (I think)! One shows the canopy, the other gives an idea of the training under the screen.
Shes finally showing signs of female and pistils are popping out like crazy. Decided to not tuck the final days of the stretch so the buds won’t start in the screen and start right above it, seems like I’d be easier come harvest time
Start of week 4 of flower. Was gone last week and she drank 10 of the 12 liters of water, whoops! Nute solution was pretty concentrated after that and very slight signs of nute burn, but considering the ppm was doubled and she handled it well led me to trust she can handle full strength (instead of 3/4).
Gone again this week but got a plant sitter to make sure she doesn’t need any res adjustments.
Pistils are insane! Looks like a carpet been almost lol. Smell isn’t too bad which is why I chose this strain, so far very happy
Noob mistake: didn’t start counting flowering week count at first signs of sex which threw off my nute schedule (faaak!). Now I know to start after stretch and when she shows her busines but hope it’s didn’t screw me up too bad.
That being said, officially week 3 of flower lol. Plant sitter didn’t meet my requests or expectation, no light adjustments = light burn, didn’t pay attention to leaves and add ph’d water at 1st signs of nute burn. Rough week for my lady.
All things considered, she seems to be healthy. My miscount of weeks mean I added bloom boost (BB) 1 week early, so I have another week or so before late phase flower nute.
ANy pointers are welcome!
Around week 4 (or so I beleive). Some signs of nute issues carried over from last week so went a bit light this week.
Tent is holding smell in really well but when you upzip she punches you in the face!
Got a lot to learn but definitely a new and exciting hobby
Sorry it’s be been long since last update, life happened.
Had what I thought was a calcium deficiency and treated it for 2 weeks with no improvement. The leaves surrounding buds didn’t have any visible issue but she’s definitely stunted
Got some help in discovering I was treating a phosphorus deficiency but thought it was a calcium issue. Set me back but learned the difference lol.
She has recovered and now she’s going great. Buds fattening everyday and smelling up the place!
Flush time! Trics are 90% milky with about 5% Amber and 5% clear, planning on a 3-4 flush which *should* be about spot on.
The nute issues mid flower stunted her but still think I’ll have a half decent yield for a first grow.
This hasn’t been easy but sure is a ton of fun learning about the whole process and figureing out what I can do better next time.
Using GD was invaluable! It really helped me track my progress and get used to planning for the weeks ahead. The community here was awesome! Cheers and puffs ladies and fellas!
