So I’ve been neglecting my bag seeds or should I say seed because only one is left after all the heat issues in the grow tent I’ve been having; that’s okay though due to the fact this was a test run for my first autoflowering grow(check that out if you’d like). Anyways, this plant has stood up to anything and has soared like no other bag seed I’ve ever seen; shes/he’s been in 93 degrees and hasn’t been stunted to much, maybe a folded leaf or two but I can’t blame her/him. Now is sitting next to my others in the grow tent that can get up to 87-88 but I believe it sits at around 86 degrees. Happy growing to all! -FirsTime

You might want to check your roots. I found out that my little seedlings were very rooty by about the 10th day. Those INCREDIBLE new lights are going to make your plants take off as well.

@Quexos, Unfortunately I won’t be able to complete the setup until about Friday; but really thank you and come back and check in a few days and I’ll post some pics and I’ll let you know how it works!! The led light may just have to be put on the back burner because I was getting temps of 105 with two fans blowing air out so we’ll just have to find out!! -FirstTimer

spotting is rootbound in that cup needs transplant or root prune it could still go far if you have room besides your autoflower project

@Jaindoh, I definitely do for a little before any of the girls get too big; but I have a friend who wants the bagseed girl eventually so when I have to I have a home for her!!! I’ll put in a bigger pot when I get home today! Thanks buddy you’re the bomb!!

The rule of thumb I always use is to transplant when the leaves reach the edge of the container; these are ready for bigger pots and will enjoy it. If you don't transplant quickly enough, they will get root-bound and start to get sick. This is also the bonus of fabric pots, the air that the fabric lets in causes the roots to prune themselves. I haven't grown regular seeds in a way that i attempted to sex, but many people do it this way: Choose a little branch or the top on one plant. Use a piece of plastic bag (or whatever) and a rubber band (or whatever). You take it on and off such that it gets 12/12 light even though the rest of the plant is getting veg cycle. Force one plant (one branch, really) at a time to show you its sex. Minimal risk of pollen contamination. The bonus to sexing regular seeds is that (afaik) true females are not as light sensitive and won't go herm and sprout a bunch of seeds at the drop of a hat when exposed to light during flower.

@Jaindoh, holy fuck thank you so much! So detailed I really appreciate the time you put answering my question! I will most likely be doing this; if so I will put pics and give you alllll the credits haha. Thank you again; if I have any further questions you’ll definitely hear from me! -FirstTime

its cool you can separate the double plant cups when its time to transplant? i mean you might want to do them earlier so they're not competing for root space in the cup, but they should be fine. worst case if they end up in final pots together you can just keep the strong one and kill the weak one. go bagseed go! liked and followed =)

@Jaindoh, hey thanks I didn’t even really think just let em go; cause honestly these will probably end up outside for space reasons when I get my actual grow tent and my seeds come in(big bud autoflowering)!! Thank you for the like and follow and for the support!!

@green_feen, hahahahaha to be honest I thought two were not going pop; but I put them I them in the dirt anyways sure enough both popped up. I’ll have to do some transplatting very soon! And thank you very much for your kind words, and I’m happy I could help!

looking good. all i can say is get that plant away from the other one so they dont grow into eachother or you wont be able to seperate them probably.

Bag seeds. Interesting strain(s). Looking good so far. Best wishes on the remainder of the grow!

Those are very interesting leaf shapes. Your little girls are doing very nicely. I use Jon's leaf idea for transplanting. I also start my seedlings in clear plastic cups so I can see the root system developing. Considering that I transplanted my bagseed after about a week, I would seriously consider getting them in their final containers. BTW did you ever solve your grow room heat problem?
FirstTimeGrower
FirstTimeGrower
@Quexos, sorry for such a late response I swore I got back to you about the heat issue; I’m still battling high temps here and there due to the fact that I have to keep in my closet for stealth purposes; but I pull the tent out to breathe when I can! So defiantly not getting like 92 In there anymore; thanks @Quexos!

you have some nutrient burning going on there, it could be overwatering, but also too much nutrients would cause this problems. the problems are on the lower / older leaves, they won't recover, the new leaves look a lot better. On your older leaves i can see different nutrient problems, nitrogen, kalium. I would only give water (you are probably using fertilized soil with enough nutrients) when all leaves become a bit lighter colour green, towards yellow, you can start feeding nutrients and or fertilizer.

You need to get your temps down ASAP, when enviroment is good you will have less problems and will be easier to diagnose. It looks like P.H fluctuation at roots ( i've had this problem myself!! ) which can be caused when plants transpire and drink more water to cool and protect themselves, any nutrients given aren't really used which can lead to a salt buildup in your'e soil and be to "hot" for delicate young roots. It can also happen if you over water your'e plants and don't allow the pot to dry ( up to first knuckle - 1" ish) to allow oxygen to the root's which is often overlooked and very important. When watering allow 10 - 20 % runoff every time you water and measure your'e runoff EC & PH which will tell you how your'e plant is feeding or if there is a problem. Hope this helps !!😉
