Well, finally the harvest. The heat waves were the battle this year, in combination from abrasion caused when plants moved to the garage for shelter, and brushing up against the umbrella that along with the blistering heat turning most of the two tallest into golden brown that looks burnt until under the scope. Then all the brown sugar leaves are still covered with tricomes just a vanilla color. This batch is headed for ice hash. The shortest GSC somehow was green till the end and lush. So it's pictured in the wine cellar curing slowly. Lessons this year: 1/ Re-charge soil with organics. 2. Urine, best for early veg. 3. Change Bat Guano from insect to fruit eating at flower. 4. Yes, gathering rain water was worth it. 5. GSC's tolerate high calcium and magnesium in our hard water as well as the heat here. 6/ Yes, you can mix organic with chemical feeds, just not simultaneously. 7. Don't let plants get so tall again. To move the pots they must be topped early and likely twice esp. for the GSC's. 8. Organic Living Soil approach wards off bugs and disease. (Had NONE this year!) I'll report back on the results.
