She’s healthy and growing well. Pistils still not there. Will have to wait some more days. Added some Big Bud to help her absorb nutrients in a better way, as well as make her create bigger flowers just from the beginning. Yay!
Unfortunately my digital timer was defective and made the flowering phase delay by 2 weeks. From one side, this delay allowed them to stretch a bit more. On the other side, it made me start giving bloom nuts with bad timing, thinking the bloom phase was already started. In other words, I gave bloom nuts in the last 2 weeks of veg. This means I’ll have to give them “week 3” bloom nuts for two more weeks, maybe reducing by 50% the B-52 and Big Bud dosages (they could be a little too much).
Let’s now talk about the lady: well, she’s growing like a monster: 73cm!!!!
She is the biggest of the grow room. She’s been growing 7-8 cm every day in the last days. That’s impressive! Woohoo, I love sativassssss! They will make you feel like a king, and they will be your queens 👸
By the way, sativas are WILD, and they make you sweat before showing their pistils. That’s what’s happening now. As well as the two Euphoria, they’ve not shown anything but a small pre-flower (not even a pistil for the moment). We’ll see in the next days. In the meantime, enjoy the photos and the video at the end! Cheers buds 👊
Two weeks have passed after the switch, and still no signs of flowering. There are not light leaks, and other strains have already started flowering. I think the reason could be linked to B-vitamins. More specifically, B-52 could have slowed down the process and freezed it just before the pre-flowering phase. Looking at the photos, doesn’t it seem like a pre-pre flowering phase? The buds sites are there, and it doesn’t seem to be just a bunch of new leaves. I’m having the same problem with an Euphoria (the other one has already started flowering), both the Royal Highness and both the Dance World.
Since I think it’s linked to vitamins, yesterday I’ve flushed all the involved plants. No nuts this week. As soon as they flower, I’ll start with bloom nutes again (from week 3).
By the way, she’s now 90cm! She’s still the highest of the room, but I hope she’s stopping here, because her growth rate is amazingly high! I took these photos 1 day after the flush. She looks happy about it 😉
Hello buds! I’ve actually splitted the Dance World diary in two since I took the other one out of the grow box and started some hard training with her (see the diary).
This one has FINALLY started flowering, after two weeks passed creating something that looked like flowers, which was definitely not flowers. Like the shape of flowers with no pistils. Pistils now came out from that “shape”, and there we go! After last week flush I’ve started (again) with bloom nutes (week 1). I hope to be able to complete previous weeks with some photos I took, but for the moment, if you want to follow the veg growth of this one, please look at the other Dance World diary. Enjoy and happy growing 😃
118 CM! What-a-stretch!! Lol I forgot to give her week 2 ferts and gave her week 3 ones instead (removing Voodoo Juice, Tarantula and Piranha, adding B-52, Big Bud and Nirvana). No problem because she already had two portions of fungi and bacteria when I had problems with the timer some weeks ago. Well she’s getting bigger and bigger. I’m a Sativa lover, and this is definitely a big gift to me.
1.23 METERS!!! What! No one told me this Dance World would grow like a Shining Silver Haze! As a sativa lover, this plant makes me really happy. I love tall sativas! But height apart, she’s developing many many flowers. This plant is huge!! The main root is bigger than a carrot, and the total size is about 1/3 of the total space. A small preview for the next cycle: I’m gonna grow a huge Sativa 😍 can’t wait! See you next week guys.
I don’t say I’m impressed, because it wouldn’t be enough. This plant stretched in a way that I’ve always dreamed about. She’s a REAL sativa, but not all the phenotypes are the same. My other Dance World is not as strong as this one, and she’s not going to become as tall as this as well.
The heat lamp is now very close to her pot, and this makes the soil to drain up faster. This means that I have to water (+ nutrients) twice a week, instead of one like all the other plants inside the grow room. But this is not a problem since she’s very big and needs a lot of food to manage all that stuff.
Big fat colas almost there. You can see the structure, but they’ve just started to fatten up. Those colas are getting heavy. I think I’ll have to help them with a bamboo stick or something else. The smell is very strong, especially if you touch the stems or the sugar leaves. Next week I’ll stop with Big Bud and start with Overdrive 👊
This plant is pure magic. She’s the sativa I’ve always dreamed about: very tall, large, with long and fat colas. I think I should take out a cut from her. Definitely. This is a lucky phenotype. I still have to try the effects, but for the moment she’s a beautiful and very satisfying plant to grow. The scent was tropical while growing, but now is a bit worse. I would say like a cimex, but it’s not really like that. It’s strange! What else? With a bigger pot, maybe with coco, she could grow at least 1.70m I think. The only limitation here, is the pot, which is 12L only, and not fully filled. Wow guys, sativas make me very happy! I think I’m in time for another week of nutrients, then flush, and harvest. And.... yeah, I really need to take out those cuts! 😉🙌
Looking good! Her flowers have a strange shape, and their scent is 100% ginger. Some days ago I tried a sample, and I loved it. Will not talk about that now, but I can guarantee that I felt like a philosopher for at least two hours! Amazing strain, amazing effect. I think I’ll stop here with nutes, and flush next week. Can’t wait to harvest her. Oh, following last week’s thought about clones, well, I took 2 clones! 😉
YO! Today’s the day. Double harvest of both this Dance World and the Royal Highness, so I can finally say that there are no more plants born in 2017. So, the first growth cycle is officially over!
Unfortunately this story doesn’t have a happy ending, though. Just after my last update, all the leaves started becoming all crispy and dry. What happened? I’m still questioning. I think that was a mix of hot temperature around the pot and one extra feeding just a few days after the previous.
By the way, week 19, or day 137. I went over the suggested time from RQS! Trimming has been very hard to do for this reason, but I eventually came out with a good result: for the moment, I got 168g wet. I removed almost every crispy leaf, but some of them are still there. During the trim, I could clearly smell a profound and intense scent of lemon/ginger that is so nice. I mean, a REALLY strong scent.
Now all the buds are hanging up on the net for like 10 days, so I’ll wait for the smoke report.
Talking about her growth: she’s a magical Sativa, but not all phenotypes will stretch so hard when flowering starts. Just keep in mind this, because she could definitely fly. The ginger smell has always been there, but became stronger at the end.
The flowers is not dense, and have have many separate “gems” with some leaves around. Very hard to trim. But it’s good to see those huge buds when work is over.
Just to let you know, I’ve tried a small sample some weeks ago, and the high was fabulous. Mentally very creative and light, physically you’ll not feel overwhelmed, but still feeling those waves on the legs. So good guys! Daytime strain definitely!
I’d say she doesn’t tolerate nutes so much, so try going light at first, and perhaps increase the dosage as time passes. And some extra attention on final phase, before the flush. Overall it’s a good strain, with a good high, but she’s not suitable for beginners.
@TOTEM, hey!! Sup? Yeah, this product says 2-4 ml / l, I asked in my local growshop and they told me to put 2 ml / l in the first week and 3 in second, I put 3 in 1.5 l with some organic “melaza” which is glucose. Can you tell me when should I start with topping? 5 internodes aprox?
@Zanto, Can’t wait to see yours growing, bro! I’m here for any doubt you have about her!! I would suggest to start with half dosage of nutrients, basing myself on this growth experience. She won’t tolerate much of them in the first, say, 2 weeks of veg! Happy growing bud!!
@simps, Hey simps, I thought about the same last week. Then I discovered the real problem was overfeeding. At this stage, it’s critical. Lot of brown and yellow spots on leaves, that later become all crispy and dry up. Today I’ve flushed, so let’s see what happens
@Broedt, Oh my, I totally missed this! Sorry bud. I took 2 clones, but only when flowering was almost over. They eventually died, but that’s fine! The strain is very good though. Very suggested ;-)
