Day 1-7 (May 1st - May 7th)
(Day 1) Just germinated all my photoperiod plants for outdoor this year. I should start by saying I’m in a horrible climate for growing weed outdoors (zone 3b) but I’m pretty confident I can pull some good weight this year if I stay on top of things. Quality will probably be subpar in terms of density and smell ect. but I’m using some decent genetics for some of the photos and will certainly get some heavy trich production. I’m starting all photos indoors from feminized seed in my mini greenhouse using peat pellets under a small cfl reptile light and some afternoon window sun. They will be transferred to solo cups or nursery pots in a week or two until they are ready to be moved into the greenhouse outside early-mid May. I will be using promix HP, sea soil, miracle gro marine compost and Destiny Organics soil as a base. I’m feeding a mix of Nature’s pride and Gaia green organic dry amendments along with some rock dusts, foliar sprays and teas ect. I will be light deping the first wave on July 1st depending on and the second will be on July 15th. Autoflowers will be started as soon as it warms up outside and will go from peat pellets directly into a fabric raised garden bed with 8 16 gallon cells, 2 per cell. For pest control I will be using method1 PPS, 3-2-4 insect frass and EM1 microbe inoculant frequently throughout veg and early flower as I had an aphid problem last year that will be coming back unless I use some preventatives. I might also order some beneficial insects like lady bugs and hyposasis miles if I see an infestation arising. I will be using un-phd city tap water that sits around 200ppms
Photoperiod:
Slurricane F1 x5 (10g pots)
Blackberry breath #2 pheno x3 (5g pots)
Blackberry breath #1 pheno x1 (5g pots)
Purple tuna bag seed x1 (3g pots)
The white OG x1 (3g pots)
Badazz OG cheese x1 (3g pots)
Blueberry x1 (3g pots)
Jack Herer x1 (3g pots)
Autoflower:
Grapefruit x10 (16g cells)
Gelato 33 x12 (16g cells)
Doctor Seedsman CBD x3 (3g pots)
Exodus cheese x3 (3g pots)
I will also be running some clones I took from my indoor grow that were mislabeled. I don’t expect these to take because I took them at week 2 of flower but I’ve still heard of it working.

(Day 3) Just had a super close call. Temps soared to 104 degrees all afternoon and it killed nearly all my tomato seedlings. Luckily most of the weed seeds haven’t even broken the surface yet. A few of the slurricanes might be stunted from that but it’s too early to tell. I’m leaving my green house door open all day and putting the fluorescent on a light timer to only run at night.
(Day 5) Most have sprouted now. I have a feeling the ones not sprouting won’t. One of the slurricanes is definitely a dud and one of the others looks severely deformed. Looks like all the seedsmans except The White OG are duds or fried in the heat. I am officially done with direct planting seeds. From now on I am just doing the soak and paper towel method. Especially when using pricey genetics like Archive.
(Day 7) I’m starting to see roots sticking out of the bottom of the peat pellets. I’m not in any hurry to transplant so I’ll get to it over the next week.
I’m some having trouble keeping my environment right. It either gets too cold or too hot, especially when the sun starts beaming through. I also lack an intake/outtake in my little greenhouse here.
Anyone here have experience growing an auto that’s been severely stunted?
I direct sowed into a rich soil and have had very little growth in the last 3 weeks.
Will a stunted auto start flowering once it reaches a certain height? Or will I have 5 inch tall dwarf plants?
In my early growing days i had a few stunted due to lack of knowledge and too much feed etc. In my experience once its stunted that bad at week 6 sad to say i dont think you will get much from it at all. time will tell ..
Hey there,
Thanks so much for running a diary of our genetics 🙌
Let us know if you need any assistance, we’re more than happy to help.
Happy Growing !!! 🌱☘️🌴🍀🌿🌳
