I am satisfied and the plant seemed to like it, I can't compare to other brands as it is the first nutrient I am using.

So it's the end for this Royal Dwarf, 13 fun weeks of my life. I probably could have waited a bit longer but the weather has been getting worse and worse and with the constant thunderstorms, rain and unbelievable wind (70km/h this week), I was a bit worried that something nasty would happen. Not quite sure about the trichomes colour, I just got a cheap magnifiying glass and it didn't help much. I will invest in a better one for my next grow. Overall it was a pretty easy grow and very forgiving strain for a beginner. The harvest is not phenomenal but considering the numerous cloudy days and lack of sunshine, I'm still pretty satisfied of my first grow. The name of this strain is not a lie, my plant was very short (45cm) and the smell was not that strong. Perfect choice for a stealthy grow on your balcony. I chose to dry my buds in a brown paper bag, it's the only choice I have currently. Once it's dry I will cure it in a jar and I will come back for a smoke report. Now is coming the most difficult part, being patient. UPDATE: After 4-5 days in the paper bag, the buds are finally dry and ready for the jar. I knew it would shrink a bit but I didn't expect it would be that much :D In the end I got 15 grams dry, which is nothing to brag about, but the feeling of growing your own stuff is pretty amazing (coincidentally I also grew my first chilis and cucumbers this year and it's equally as good a feeling). Of course I couldn't wait two weeks for a smoke test and I tried a sample. It's obviously not completely ready but it sure got me high. Will come back for the proper smoke report. UPDATE after a two-month cure: smooth earthy smoke. Although it is highly relaxing, there is no couch lock at all. Which makes it a perfect strain for daytime use.

I need an expert's eye to tell me if I can harvest soon. I realize it might be tricky without being able to see the trichomes but I got a cheap magnifying glass and it's not really helping. Based on the general appearance of my plant, what do you guys think? Cheers.

Is flushing absolutely necessary? I’ve read that some people now has mixed opinions on the matter and that it doesn’t actually help with the final product. If it is in fact necessary, based on my pictures, do you guys think I should start or wait a bit?

I do not believe in this flushing myth. But others certainly disagree 😉 Especially since you are using organic nutrients, I do not see any reason why it should be needed (who does the flushing in the wild?). The only reason BioBizz recommends to not give nutrients in the final week is that this would just be wasted because organic nutrients need several days before the plant can uptake it, so giving it in the last week is just wasting it.

Hello! For those of you who dry their buds in a brown paper bag, how do you proceed? Right now buds are trimmed and put in a dark, dry closet. Should I check everyday? Wait a bit before I open? How long does it usually take for you to get everything dry?

Hello. I wet trim my branches of buds. As I trim I hang the branches for 3 days to lose some moisture. I take paper bags (the six pack of beer size) cut the top 1/3 off so the buds don't have so far to fall and put about 2 to 3 inches of cut of the branch buds into the bag. Hang the bags on the same line used to dry the branches. fold over once and close with closepins. DON"T OPEN THE BAGS. Let the bags hang for a week. There is a gas coming out of the drying bud that cancels out the chlorophyll. If the chlorophyll is not canceled out it turns the buds bitter. Check after a week and if the buds are dense then the bag might need to be hung for a few more days. When the buds are dry just put them in mason jars. No need to burp them the less oxygen they get the longer the buds last. I explain this in my diaries. Good Luck. Chuck.

Nice grow you did better than my attempt that went into flower/veg twice & remained a vegetable state for nearly 5 months at a height of 80cm before being killed off by the winter weather outside

@@no_handed_bong_chonger, thanks for the comment. It wasn’t ideal due to the lack of sunlight on my balcony but I still got a few grams a smokable buds
