Week 1 first DWC triangle has major stretch but is growing nicely, somango has slightly curled leaf, I’ve been top feeding and thought h I was overwatering so unplugged that, no nutrients yet, it’s been very hot here so temps are very high, nice daily growth and they look relatively happy other than the stretch and slight curl hopefully it cools down here temps are way to high
2nd week in, it’s still very hot in my room I added a large fan in the room itself which has helped ambient temp but still not ideal, bought myself a proper PH meter so PH is now consistent, worried about growth though seems very mild, I can see a lot of root growth happening when I remove light covers around plant but still no roots through the pots, everything seems a little slow but I am a first timer dunno if this is normal
So I had a alien vs triangle which got incredibly stunted same as the so mango, over enthusiastic top feeder which I have now removed, I pulled the alien and replaced it with OG Kush and used rock wool instead of jiffy’s, the root growth has been incredible 1 week in and its through the pot, the so mango is definitely stunted but has started looking pretty healthy, much darker green and reaching for the lights, also realized I probably had my lights to close and moved them to 50cm, crazy thing is both root structures are going wild, but still very minimal growth up top
So mango is still going it’s super stunted but throwing out new growth, should have pulled it ages ago but felt sorry for it just gonna do it’s thing, it’s like a weird Frankenstein, horrible looking thing......Og kush is at 3 weeks and doing good growing loads, upped my lights to 60cm and have added Cal mag into the mix
The OG KUSH has literally doubled in size the last week first sign of flowers got some weird stuff going on with a bit of leaf twist, ppm is in check so it’s a bit odd, ph is on as well and not drifting to much, so mango is doing it’s crazy thing totally stunted just letting it come along for the ride while the OG does it’s thing
So mango blasting off doing really nice got a bit of leaf curl on the edges of the top leaves, cut out nitrogen quiet heavily trying to figure it out, so mango is still a freak doing its thing, both have got slight root browning, using hydrogen peroxide but still bit of brown, all looking good although was hoping the so mango would get a bit larger let’s see
Not loads of height growth this week, putting on a lot of bud wheight though, roots are doing good on the OG, So mango has kinda stayed the same, Og has started drinking a lot, dropped the humidity a lot for flowering, thought the og would get bigger height wise it seems to have stopped, but think I’m gonna get some hefty bud by the signs of 2 nd week flowering
All going well a bit of what I think is light burn on large leaves, both plants putting on wheight, drinking quiet a bit of water, and slowly trying to get my ppm up, installed a carbon filter as smell was getting ridiculous, roots are getting massive, kush is 2 weeks younger than So mango......
So mango on last week but think it might need longer, so mango has developed some issues, thought it was a mag deficiency but been adding but nothing changes, both packing on loads of wheight and racing close to the end
Was a easy grow, from start to finish, nice solid nugs at the end, , scale batteries died so no dry wheight I will come back and update this, big thanks to all that helped
Weird one that got stunted, but came back fighting huge buds in the end couple foxtails, but really impressive after everything that happened along the way
Good strain very resistant to problems I had very impressed as she was going to be thrown away at one point, scale is down will come back and adjust wheight

As asked for on my diary , I have a few question and tips for you ...
1. As @bigdaddyk asked , do you have an air stone ?
If not , invest buddy cheap but essential when growing DWC as as the roots need oxygenated water or you'll get root rot etc.
If so , CRANK IT UP
2. Is the water from the res touching the rock wool within the pot ?
If so , you could drown the plant.. I try to keep the water just under the net pot and top feed until the roots reach the res , let gravity do its thing ... I have a feeling due to the leaves drooping that over watering may be the case here.
3. What ppm is your water at this stage ?

From what I've read from your diary , here are a few tips and what I do in my DWC. ..
room temps :
Day 26.6 C
Night 20/22 C
Humidity :
Seedling/Clone 60/70%
(some growers even go as high as 90 in this stage)
Veg week 2+ - 60%
Flower 53 %
Light distance :
At least 60cm from plant
Res temps - 18/21 C
I can't give you a ppm indication tbh as you need to get that from reading your plant but at this stage if start off around 150 ppm just to give you plant some life and see how it reacts.
I'm fairly new to DWC however now new to growing and nd done some homework before diving right in haha , some right good growers on here with tonnes of information , follow up some of these dudes :

Thanks for the update. She's looking a bit stunted but if you have your pH dialed in, perhaps she will recover. The air circulation is something to try to rectify. Best wishes...
@Zannabis7,thanks man yeah the leaves have grown a lot but height wise not, heat is a real issue as it’s super hot outside, there is growth but worried I’m used to my leaves standing up going for the light, where she seems lightly drooped
Hi , it can take up to three weeks to get root into reservoir , that's when the explosive growth will start , how far away is the led ? Also feed from the top until the root gets into the reservoir every two days 👍 Happy growing 🌱
@BigDaddyK, Hi, thanks so much for the comments, sorry about the late reply, yes i have a airstone, i have 2 of them connected to 2 seperate pumps, i definetly overwatered, ihad a top a top feeder but i think it was a little strong, i actually pulled the alien and started in rockwool with a og kush, its a week in and the roots are out the bottom of the pot, i definetly stunted the last 2 but i didnt have the heart to pull both, so just restarted the one, i also got myself a Blue lab PH meter, so that is finally dialed in, my big question is, why are my plants so small, ive looked at other diaries and the leaves and height are way bigger, although my roots are going wild, noticable daily growth, white and healthy, thanks again, any adivice appreciated
@Zannabis7,thanks so much for the response I live in Cape Town South Africa we are having a really hectic drought and it’s super hot, so bit worried about temps, also using the drops ph tester so little worried about that I had a cheaper electric ph tester but seemed weird planning to buy a decent one soon,please feel free to offer any advice total newbie to DWC, done loads of outdoor...so any help appreciated
@Hawkbo,thanks for the responce, i have a Blue lab ph pen but i just got it about a week and half ago, ive really oticed a difference and was shocked to see my PH was completly out before.
I had a lot of seedlings looking droopy and curled up like in ur first pic my first grow and it was high ph. Seedlings like there medium more acidic so optimal would be at like 5.5-5.7. Im in coco but its the same i believe
@Hawkbo,Thanks yeah PH sitting at 5.5, occasionaly drifts up to 5.7 but all under control with daily checks, roots look healthy but incredibley slow up top growth.
@bobo420,thanks yeah she’s looking good one weird thing going on with the kush the trichomes are darkening and turning orange already, wich is really weird it’s way to early
