The clones are doing extremely well at the end of their second actual week, so I decided to move them into buckets and their own separate post! I just moved them into buckets yesterday and they will be growing under a desk lamp until the tent is free :)
I wasn't around to post for a few weeks! Life got real busy real fast. Everything's still going as normal though! Clones are still coming along, waiting for the big tent to be freed up.
Just lettin' her finish up at this point! Yesterday I started the flush cycle. I've only been watering once every 2 or 3 days almost this entire grow, and they don't seem to care 🤷 I've been extremely inattentive, but once this batch is harvested in a week or two here, I'll be starting the autopot grow :)
At this point I don't even need to keep track of the weeks for the purposes of growing. I notice when the trichomes becomes milky, and when they become amber, just by looking at them with the naked eye. At least, well enough to know when I'm coming up on needing to harvest.
So after about a year, I'm to the point where I could grow cannabis in a sterile environment using hand-watered perlite hempy buckets without even thinking about it. I don't think there will be many challenges with the autpot system but I'm looking forward to trying something new!
They were looking good so I harvested! Somewhere in week 8 or 9 I think, I lost count. I'll come back and post the harvest itself once I get a bit of a cure and process some hash / tincture.
I planted seeds for the next batch (strain: Bubblegum!) in the autopots and will be starting a diary once they sprout :) It's supposed to be a medium difficulty grow, steppin up from the easy grows of 8 Ball Kush and Girl Scout Cookies.
As always I absolutely love 8 Ball Kush! My favourite strain of all time. Nice earthy smell that I love, gives a nice rush at the onset, then gives way to a complete full body and mind high! I love getting 8 ball crushed.
8BK is always easy to grow. Super resilient. Comes right back after a transplant or if you forget to water it for a week (oops!).
This particular plant is a clone of “phenotype A” that I took from one of two flowering clones (A and B) that came from plants I started from seed :P so this was a nice long run off 2 seeds.
I have noticed zero quality difference through 3 generations, neither in high nor in quality of the bud nor harshness! In fact, this round was my best grow ever. Best looking, best smelling and tasting, least harsh, best quantity, no nute burn nor deficiencies the entire grow, got a proper 7 day flush, etc.
And with that, dies my awesome “phenotype A”. I wanted to clone it again and make it produce feminized seeds but I just didn’t have time. Oh well, it was a fun run while it lasted!!!!!
