Four seeds were soaked in paper towel. All four seeds germinated and we’re put into jiffy pots moistened with Superthrive and Bigfoot mycorrhizae. Seeds were put under a dome and into the tent under 18-hour light @ 20% intensity.
Day 10 from seeds emerging from soil, one of the four did not make it. The shell did not break all the way off and leaves could not emerge. Another seed has been put into paper towel. It will be a week behind but will still be part of the grow.
Okay to catch you guys up. Not sure what happened to most of my pics. During the entire Veg stage I was also starting the veggie garden to be transplanted outside. Not much room for training. I didn’t know it was gonna get so out of hand. Like bad. The pics seen here are week 5 and some of them are before and just after topping. It’s a mess but it gets better I promise.
Flower Week 1
Last night was the flip, making this day 1 for 12/12. The scrog was put in yesterday as well. After being crammed together with the vegetable seedlings, the Lemon Berries were finally able to be spread out and heavily defoliated. A few main branches were snapped after trying to be trained to fit under the scrog. It’s uncertain if those branches will heal or not.
The screen itself is great, and the amount it has filled just on the first day is good too. There is one big space that I hope to fill in during flower in the lower left quadrant. At the same time, the other plants will need thinning out once they are well into flowering. It could get crowded and hurt yields if not dealt with.
Week 3 Flower
I noticed some of the tops with a hint of light bleaching near the center. I raised the light and was able to get 19” above the tallest tops. That is as high as my tent will allow. If they continue to bleach, then I will need to dial the intensity back a bit.
Week 5 Flower
It might be too late into flower to remove any larf or lower bud sites. I should have done it no later than week 3. Most of the harvest will be turned into hash, so it shouldn’t be a big problem as long as the tops swell in size.
Looking and smelling amazing. They still have 3 more weeks to go. I’m hoping they continue swelling in this time. Some of the tops are starting to show purple hues.
Update: the trichomes on the tops that are showing purple hues are covered in mostly amber trichomes. I’ve never seen a strain be ready this quickly. What bothers me is they still have at least 2 weeks to gain some more weight. The other flowers are still in the clear, turning slightly cloudy. I will have to keep a close eye on all of them, because I don’t want to harvest anything early.
Week 6 Flower
The smell is intense. Candied lemons, grapefruit, and orange peel tea. My all time favorite terp profiles have been Purple Aurora and Tangerine Dreams. Early Lemon Berry tops them both. I love it. It looks to be a absolutely great strain for extractions, which is exactly what I’m looking for.
Week 7 Flower
We will see if this is the last week or if we can push it to 8 weeks. The purplish tops are mostly amber and the rest of the flowers are cloudy still. I can’t harvest only half due to space, so it’s all or nothing. I’ll keep a close eye on the amber ones.
Week 8 Flower
We are right on track. This will be the last week. Leaves have started the fade and trichomes are showing either all cloudy or mostly amber on the purple tops. The chop comes at the end of this week!
This was my first Ethos strain. I’ll be sticking with them for awhile now. The flowers didn’t appear to be massive, because they definitely weren’t the biggest most impressive buds I’ve grown. What it lacked in giant colas it made up in outstanding medium sized quality tops/nugs. They are dense too. I didn’t think I’d get as much in yield as I did to be honest. Blew me away!
They plants hung for 2 whole weeks before they were ready. Higher moisture in the room than what I wanted. Had to take measures to make sure the crop didn’t mold. Everything worked out tho.
Amazing grapefruit pheno with a hint of old school skunk. I’ve included some rosin picks I made from bubble hash I also made. It’s quality also surprised me. Totally different consistency than what I usually get. Solid form, but full melt. Yum!
Smoking on this gave the giggles something fierce. I’d make some really dumb jokes laying in bed, not expecting my wife to laugh, but was met with some heart felt laughter. Made some good times smiling and laughing at dumb stuff lol. The little things guys.
Next time I will pay more attention to lollipopping the undergrowth. I didn’t train the way I wanted but that’s on me. There were signs of mold or fungus on the dead leaf stem that didn’t get picked completely off. This might have been from low air flow under the canopy. I will remedy this too.
