Germination rate was 100% 👌
The plants growth under fluorescent lamps (54 W - 6500 K) and under the sun (at 29º N latitude) , in a mixed mode.
The soil is a mixture of: Sphagnum peat (60%), Perlite (20%), earthworm humus (10%) and Vermiculite (10 %). It was hydrated using Ascophyllum Nodosum extract (30%) at a dosage of 0.5 ml/l prior to planting the germinated seeds.
It was necessary to water plants at sixth day, with 10 ml of nutrient solution.
Light Power was upgraded to 72 W.
The nutrients referred above were distributed on two waterings at days 17 and 21.
Plants were transplanted to 1,65 pots at March 22th (day 16) using a mix of Peat (70%), Perlite (20%), earthworm humus (5%) and Vermiculite (5%).
Nutrients referred above were applied in one watering during this week at day 26
Plants are growing without any issue. BJ#3 recovered and grows healthy too.
Nutrients referred above were applied in three waterings during this week.
Lights were switched to HID 250 W HPS on April 5th. (day 30)
Plants received a gentle foliar spray with neem (3 ml/l) at April 9th (Day 34).
Nutrients referred above were applied on two waterings.
On April 12th, I transplanted the plants for last time. The volume of the pots was 11 liters. The substrate was a mix of peat, perlite, vermiculite, agrosil, dolomite, and calcium superfosfate. There is a table showing the proportions.
Lights were switched to HID 400 W HPS on April 13th (day 38).
Plants received a gentle foliar spray with neem at April 17th (day 42).
This was the last growing week after switch to flowering period. In fact, flowering period started at day 42 after four days of transition (I've eliminated 1,5 hours of light at day during those four days).
Nutrients referred above were applied in two waterings.
Foliar spray with flowering stimulating compounds was applied at day 46.
Plants showed some deficiences of nitrogen, potassium and magnesium.
The plants develop vigorously under HPS and sunlight mixture. They are showing first calyxes at April 21th - Day 46 - 5 days at 12/12.
Nutrients referred above were administrated in two watering.
25-04 To 01-05 - Week 8 (Flowering 2)
Light's power was increased to 600 W at April 27th.
Last foliar spray with neem was applied at April 29th (day 54).
The Plants continue vigorously elongating their stems while begin to produce flowers profusely.
Nutrients referred above were applied in two waterings.
02-05 to 08-05 - Week 9 (Flowering 3)
A second foliar spray with flowering stimulating compounds was applied at May 3rd.
There are differences between the heights of the plants. I've tried to maintain all canopy at an equal distance of the lamp, adding different objects on the bottom of the shorter plants.
I'm using biologic stimulants on every watering mixed with organomineral nutrients.
Nutrients described above were administrated in one watering.
09-05 to 15-05 - Week 10 - (Flowering 4)
A last foliar spray with flowering stimulating compounds was applied at May 11th.
Nutrients showed above were distributed in two different waterings.
16-05 to 22-05 - Week 11 - (Flowering 5)
It looks like plants finally centered into flowering. The aromas and the amount of capitate trichomes have increased during this period.
Light bulb was changed: Dual spectrum Sunmaster bulb was switched by an specific flowering bulb (Sunmaster Super HPS) at May 16th.
Nutrients referred above were applied in two waterings.
23-05 to 29-05 - Week 12 - (Flowering 6)
Plants stopped growing. This week temperatures raised dramatically due to warm African winds.
I've increased electroconductivity in consonance with sunny days. I can afford six hours of good quality sun radiation on my balcony when days are clear.
Nutrients described above were distributed in one irrigation.
30-05 to 05-06 - Week 13 - (Flowering 7).
Plants are close to their maturity but exhibit a high rate of new flower production.
I've kept high EC value due to a noticeable potassium and magnesium deficiencies on the lower and mid leaves.
Nutrients described above were applied in two waterings. Those are the two last waterings of this diary, with an EC of 1,1 and 0,85 respectively.
06-06 to 12-06 - Week 14 - (Flowering 8)
Plants are fully developed and focus their efforts in stacking inflated calyxes.
This is the last week. Harvest is expected at June 15 or 16th.
Hi guys!
Plants have been harvested on June 16th. I found botrytis on a top bud of BJ#2. Infected area was eliminated. The process lasted about four hours.
I'm using the same grow tent for the drying and curing process.
I've wasted a lot of time taking photographs in order to obtain a few good ones, so I'll share the best ones with you on next update.
In two weeks, in the weekend between June 30th and July 2sd, I'll complete this diary with statistics about harvesting and tasting the medicinal herbs.
Best Regards!
Nice strain. The germinating rate was 100%. It grows at standard rate, with a dominant not too branchy structure. The blooming is longer than expected, but with a decent amount of calyxes and trichomes, that are ready to harvest around the ninth flowering week.
Citric and Earthy aromas with incense touches were observed during cultivation. The resistance to plagues and illness are standard also.
The harvest was normal-low, with aprox. 375 g obtained from nine plants.
I vaporized an average quantity (dried during 15 days and cured during 33 days) on a Volcano classic at 190 ºC . The herb tastes mainly citric and woody, with touches of pine and incense.
The high is one of the best things of this variety, mixing the relax and happiness with a talkative and creative status. In addition, it has standard lasting.
