Hey y'all, first indoor grow for me. I've got a small space which my tent fits exactly into. I've got a 4x2x5 tent with a 6in intake fan running cold air into the bottom and a 6in exhaust fan running hot air straight out the top. I went with the big fans (240cfm) since it's in my garage and I live in the south and it's HOT. Wanted to make sure I had plenty of circulation. I have 2 full spectrum triple chip LED lights I got on amazon advertised as 1200W but only pull 235 actual watts from the wall with a veg and bloom switch and vent fans on the top blowing toward my exhaust. Currently have just one plant under each light as it's my first grow, wanted to play it safe and not waste a lot of seeds if I screw up. They are in 5 gallon cloth pots. My soil mix is about 50/50 fox farm ocean forest and happy frog soil, a good amount of extra perlite, and some garden lime. Watered till runoff twice with plain distilled water pH'ed to 6.3, let drain well, and planted the seeds directly in the soil in the big pots. Don't wanna mess with transplanting later on. I planted on Monday memorial day and by Friday the 29th both seeds had popped above the soil. Lights started at 18in above the soil per manufacturer recommendation and they seemed happy once they popped so I haven't moved them. Got a humidifier running to keep it around 60-65% for the seedlings. Plain pH'ed water only this week, my soil is supposed to be hot and I didn't wanna burn the babies. Will start at 1/8 strength nutes in a week or so if they look good. Like I said it's hot so I've got the lights at 18/6 now and they are running at night and off during the hottest part of the day. When I start nutes I'll be running all fox farm stuff. I looked at others but trying to order it and pay for shipping was gonna be insane. I know there's probably better stuff, but the nursery down the road from my house sells all FF stuff at a good price so I chose that based on convenience really. Tips are welcome!
