I already had the pleasure of tasting a bud from a friend of mine who grew one himself. The taste, the high and the simplicity to grow this strain led me to grow a Think Big on my own. All I did was putting a seed into a soil-filled pot and let it grow outdoors. No nutrients, nothing, only water and sunlight. She grew into a marvellous lady, no bugs, nothing out of the ordinary. Next time I'll aim for a bigger plant, with a slightly bigger pot and nutrients. Now that she's out of drying (8 days ~25°C, 55%RH), on the verge of starting her curing process, she's already filling me with joy and my nose with her outstanding scents. She makes me think of a seaside summer evening, with a whiff of macchia (lavender, pine) and freshly cut fruit (orange, maracuja). It goes without saying that after smelling her I had to taste her too, which meant vaping her. And wow, have I not be disappointed. She's sweet on the tounge as she opens up in your mouth/nose and the journey continues with the same fruity, sweet aroma that peaks in a smooth flavour that rolls of with a hint of lime peel. A more earthy, nutty flavour joins in as temperatures get higher. For me she provides an energetic, happy high, that makes me want to frolic around, dance and listen to music or playing the guitar. I feel motivated and creative. Since she does not just fool around but delivers when it comes to effects, I prefer to smoke her in the afternoon, early evening, when daily business is done and it's time to relax and kick back.

I don't know why, but Marisol seemed to be a bit early in terms of vegetative to flowering stage and (as far as it went) with her ripeness. In hindsight it seemed af she was two weeks early with her flowering phase. On the other hand she grew fast in her early days, after all she developed 6 nodes with 12 branches, all of which had nice flowers, so it seemed okay. What I'd like to change: • plant my next grows earlier (two weeks perhaps?) • no more topping (at least for one trial) (on autos) • feed nutrients: I wouldn't want to go too professional, but throwing her the occasional handful of fertilizer might not hurt. I'd like them to grow a bit bigger/bushier/chunkier • no more daily plant rotation: that was well-intended but I think plants should find their own way to the sun, instead of having to adapt daily What I'd like to keep: • the pipecleaner & nut combo as a LST technique, as this worked really well • the terracotta pot and saucer: moisture control, temperature control, nice optics. bit bigger, but terracotta all the way

Should I consider removing lower/smaller branches and/or lower leaves to concentrate her energy in the top?

Hi there! I think there is lots of different ways to do it but I would let her grow naturally at this point and when the stretch is coming to an end (week2-3) you can remove the ones that are not going to grow completely. Or you can just let her grow completely naturally to see how it should look kinda

Hi fellow growers, Again I have to kindly ask for your help. She's in week 7 now, the 2nd week of flowering. I've noticed only the two largest leaves to shift towards a brighter green, almost yellowish. I'm hoping it's because of the flowering but I'm far from sure. Thanks

Hi friends, Would you please help me in judging her status and estimating when to harvest? I've read a lot about growing and when to harvest, but in real life I'm not sure at all. I'm anxious about not being able to tell and harvest too early or too late. Thank you!

She's quite close I would say. Maybe another weekish . Best way for me is to use a Jewellers loop(they're very cheap) and look at the trichomes. I try to aim for all cloudy trichs with about 5 to 10 percent amber. For me that is the sweetspot . If you can't do that you want all or most of the orange hairs to curl inwards . I'd suggest letting them go longer than you think. As I can say from experience harvesting to early will just give you a spacey high . Which is a shame when you have spent months growing . Let them ripen up nicely with a good flush and you'll have some nice smoke on your hands. Happy growing 🌱

Ha I like what you did with those bolts! Think ill try that in the future!

@GrowingGracie, I got the idea from growing larger plants (apples, peaches) where a clothes peg is attached to a small block of cement that is then attached to branches, pulling them down & fanning them out. So far it worked nicely on my little one too, hope you're having a positive result as well, should you decide to give it a try! Cheers, have a nice day

1 thousand and all the reasons to grow Think Big
leone
leonecommented3 years ago
@DoDrugs420, Marisol was one of three. Her siblings had the pleasure of growing at friends of mine and we still have some of them in our "keepsake" jars - for special occasions 😂 I liked her a lot, which was one of the reasons why this year I wanted to give AK 420 a shot. Still, Think Big has absolutely convinced me and I wouldn't be too surprised if there'll be another Think Big in my garden in the foreseeable future 😊

@MisterSix, thanks dude, that she was! Bit sad I won't be able to adore her every day anymore. But I have the feeling it won't be too long until there'll be someone new ;)
