This is one of the seeds from my first harvest. It was created by allowing the mother plant to naturally grow male flowers (preservation instinct of an unfertilized female plant). I only found about 20 seeds in the 260g of buds from the plant that went to seed. I didn’t have any seeds in the clones that were in the tent with the mother nor did the other two Acid Dough that were harvested earlier in that grow. This suggests that the seeds were created by a “banana” in the bud (bananas usually pollinate from the inside). I will of course watch very closely for the dreaded hermie.
I dabbed gel rooting hormone on the seed before it was put in the rockwool. I’m not sure it made any difference. The other Acid Dough was not dabbed with the gel.
Her first leaves are looking great she is working on pushing out her second leaves.
D10 she’s on her third set now.
D12 she is still working with that pesky third set of leaves but she has started the fourth.
As of this week I am using rain water in place of my RO tap water.
Beginning of week 3 and she is growing so fast (just like her mommy). Small branches are sprouting from nodes and she has a nice healthy color. I’m still up in the air about method, though knowing me it will probably be super cropping.
D16 I decided to FIM her today. I would like to have 18-20 colas on her.
I switched nutrients midweek last week to Advanced Nutrients. I was really excited and worried about the change. The ppm scared the hell out of me in DWC but the patient tolerant representative told me not to worry about the ppm. So I mixed up some 3week for her. She didn’t like it one bit. Immediately she began to wilt. I left the solution in overnight. She was still sad the next morning so I mixed her up some week 2 nutes. She absolutely loved it perked right up and seemed to grow before my eyes. I left the week 2 nutes in for 2 days and then gave her the week 3 nutes back. Without hesitation she was even happier and more vigorous than before. On day 21 I gave her week 4, full strength, nutes and she clawed the very tips of her leaves for about 3 hours. She is growing so fast. Having grown with my other nutrients for the last 11 grows I can easily see a huge difference in growth.
She is so happy and healthy. I have some autos in my tent that are late flowering so she continues with veg. I will spend the time getting her radial branches even with her tops.
She is looking great since the nutrient switch. I’ll top her once more for 20 tops total, let her put on about 4” (18” or 45cm tall) and let her flower.
She will be ready for the flower room soon!!! Got a good canopy. I’m just waiting for her to recover from her last topping and then we will get her going.
Beginning the third week of flower. She is showing pistols at the bud sights, no signs of any balls. So far im very pleased with my S1 seeds. Although in consideration of the two Acid Dough I have growing I really think that for my space 5 tops are probably my best choice.
Shaping up nicely. I did some defoliation for light penetration. Looks like I should get 18 8-12” buds from her. Can’t wait to see how she compares to her sister.
She has added a couple more inches. Buds are starting to develop. I don’t think she will get much taller. I’d really like 6oz off her but I doubt I’ll get it with my 125w cob. Ok so I got busy and did the math. Her Canopy is 0,58m2 she is rated high/very high yield so say 600g/m2 that’s 348g. I added (2) 135w red heavy LED’s above her (395w total).
She has gained a few inches this week. I am really excited to see how tight the nodal distance is on her colas. She should fill in nicely! Thanks again for following the adventures of TAZ!
She is a nice little plant with some nice 18” colas. She doesn’t seem to be filling out as fast in areas that are only receiving the 3000k light and not the old blurple lights.
I was reading Jorge Cervantes marijuana bible and he said that a plant that was topped right before flowering will take 1-3 weeks longer to finish. I thought she was behind her sister due to light issues. Now I know don’t top right before flowering!!! I don’t mind the extra time just happy to know why.
She is crowded by her big sister and the Green Crack. I try moving her tops around so they can get light. I think I like the height though and she fills up her allotted 2’x2’ space quite well. Her sister is just to big for an 80” tall tent.
She is swelling up fast. She is very sticky. I’ve started her flush and may chop her this weekend with her sister #2, if time permits. She smells of sweet tropical fruit.
I had 3 Acid Dough by Ripper (see the diary Taz’s first grow) one was super frosty leaves and all over. I cloned that plant twice. Another one of the three had huge buds with lots of trichs on the bracts only she yielded 260g and 25-30 feminized seeds. See that diary for the method. Well this was one of the seeds I made. I only gave her a lower rating than the original grow because she doesn’t have the frost needed for higher ratings.
She grew about the same as her parent. She was crowded by her 64” sister and the 54” green crack. I am ok with the yield since I gave the area and lighting priorities to other plants. Nice pineapple smell and flavor. Definitely not a bedtime smoke. Great for treating chronic fatigue. Acid Dough continues to be my favorite.0
@biggreens420, Thanks. Iff (if and only if) S1 seeds are identical like clones (I’ve seen it in print they are and they are not 🤔) then the gel has had a profound effect. #1 is considerably more developed than #2 and #1 broke the surface 12hours earlier.
Yes she’s in rainwater. But she has also been getting Calmag at a healthy dose (5ml/gallon).
I have ordered Sensi cal mag xtra from advanced. Been using Botanicare Calmag Plus on the vegative girls and magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt) on the flowering girls.
@Tazard, sounds like a good plan nice to see them healthy and the experiment with topping will be good to see the final results if there is a difference

@biggreens420, I’ve taken: 13,10,11g as smoke so far. 1 12” branch is hanging. I expected about 300g but the first 3 cuts probably lowered the total yield by 3x 2.5x 2x so if the branch drying and the rest are 200+ I’ll be happy.
@Tazard,no worry bro couldn't see properly in the pic lol and I feel for u 19g is no good not worth the time or money u put in to it my latest yields have been on the low side but bearable so I'm not using soil after this lot just coco how much u expecting off the big one
@Tazard, I really like the look of all those Ripper strains! They're kinda off my radar as I only do auto's atm. If I'm lucky enough to place in Jan's DOTM I'll put those beans to good use!

@biggreens420, you should have a look at the “Acid Dough #2” diary. This plant was very crowded and poorly lit. When you see #2 you will see why she was given priority. But since these were both from my first job breeding and there were no hermies and they smell, taste, and smoke just like the parent.
I see, I mistakenly provided you with my estimate of acid dough #2 above instead of #1.
I guess I get confused even when I label everything. Sorry bro.
@biggreens420, I plan to open up the budsites. I should have little to no lollipopping to do as she was only 12” at the flip (lollipopped to tops then) so I should have about a 12” canopy depth. The purpose is to compare the yields from Acid Dough 1 and 2. 1 is short with 18 tops. 2 is tall with 6 tops. #2 was also lollipopped to encourage top buds only. Both are the same age and each one has a 125w cob light at 3000k
@biggreens420, I plan on 1acid dough having 8 tops and the other having 16-20 (see if yields the same) so I was thinking about fiming one and super cropping the other.
