Flowering isnβt until late August, that is when the daylight schedule is close to 12/12. I topped some clones to even out the canopy because the tops are starting to compete. I am working on adding some side supports and a trellis net. I could have bend the main stems more horizontally but I did not have the space and it was pretty hard since they were too low to the ground. If I grow again Outdoor next season, I would plant then length wise instead of 2x2 plants.
I will add 2 trellis nets, 1 before stretch and 1 after stretch. The branches are starting to sway and i want to avoid dealing with heavy colas if any.
The support structure is finally complete and I added a nylon tarp to protect the buds against rain. I hope bud rot stays away ππ½ππ½. I defoliated 2 feet off the ground and topped once more as they are growing too fast.
@HazeyBobby,
I trained them indoor and have not done any training since they got outside, i am setting up the wires to start the training soon. The outdoor stretch makes LST easier especially for Indica.
@FreezingIslandBoi, yeah they do that ... in a few months when it's flowering ... oooph... then it will be streeetcching :)
I use mainline training with LST on my outdoor plants throughout their veg life and they still rise beyond the meter π keeps us on our toes.
@HazeyBobby,
It has been very sunny lately, the clones has been loving it and the training too! I decided to train them to make a canopy the size of the box itself. I have 1 month until flowering season comes thru.
@HazeyBobby,
They definitely do and I am glad I took your advice to keep them really low ππ½because they are almost half the length of that fence. Every grow is special ππ½
@HazeyBobby,
I hope to learn a lot from this first outdoor grow! Bud rot, mites, etc they will all come for these future buds. Thanks βοΈπ½ and may there be lots of sunshine!
