I water with RO water so the loss of Cal/Mag is compensated from the Happy Frog dry Organic amendments with a NPK value of ( 6-4-5).
As a kid Ive always wanted to grow this particular strain from humboldt seeds organization .
Week3 I usually '' Top " at the 7th node ( personal preference. I like taking my time in veg as Im not that experienced as a grower. Like the title says " NEWBIE " lol. I do feed at ph 6.5 and with no nutrients added untill maybe another week . I like to see the branches stress pass the water leaves first before feeding it organic fertalizer at around 300ppm as I gradually work it up to about 650ppm.
I appreciate Humboldt seed Organisation for paying my diary a visit and kind regards . Thank you for your time team.
After 1 week of recovery from the topping it looks like these ladies are thriving and happy. I did increase their nutrient feed slightly as theyve been slowly working away at the dry fert I mixed in 3 weeks ago. From experience I noticed the plants (not all strains ) will show a Cal/Mag deficiency if using ( RO ) water w/o nutrient solution or Cal/Mag... You cant have enough and neither can they Ive learned. I may experiment with dolomite and lime for the next veg pot I chose for them as I amend my own ratio of coco-coir and other organic amendments. Once I increase their feed this week ( week 5 ) .. expect them to grow vigorously!
Week 5 and we did take her out of her 1gal pot and gave her a new home in a 3gal. pot. She had little to no shock during transplant because of the due diligence on my part. I did beef up the coco-coir with some dolomite lime, earthworm casting, perlight, and about a cup of fox farms ( Happy Frog ) all-purpose dry fertalizer (6-4-5). It has been a full week since transplant and she is loving her new home. Should I send her into flower now?
These Mango Sapphire gained about almost 6 inches in a week! I did notice also roots sticking out the run off holes and I'm quite impressed. Either impressed with myself or how these Mango Sapphires grow with such vigor! I did take the time to defoliate them at the end of the week. Im debating if I should flower them due to the fact my space in my veg tent is increasingly getting filled with other hearty looking cannabis strains. Have a good one !
