Hi Guys this is my first ever grow and really appreciate any help advice along the way. Week one. Planted 3 Bubble Bomb and 1 Grand Daddy Purple. Lost one Bubble bomb as sprouted with seed case still on. Attempt to save it but was too late. Had a few heat issue and then I over over watered them, caused curling of the leaves as you can see in some pics. Humidifier and new fan purchased issue went away. Re potted into final 45loter pot when I over watered, I know I should of let the roots ball for longer in the smaller pots. Grand Daddy Purple is the smaller of the 3

Week 2 still not feed anything as the medium provides 2 weeks of nutrients. Since the humidifier and new fan I’ve had no heat issue and no more curling of the leaves. In the last few pics I have topped the 3 plants. Will start nutrients from Monday. Coca a and b.

So week 3..... I decided I want to attempt to mainline my plants into either 4 or 8 colas. Obviously since I had no idea what I was doing apart from a YouTube video I SNAPPED my Granddaddy Purple plant 😩 I was absolutely gutted but.... she seems to be pulling through.

Week 6. Bubble Bombs are looking great tied them down again this week so within a few weeks I’ll add the tomato cage for them to grow around. Grand Daddy Purple has recovered for the snap, the half of the plant that was snapped is smaller then ther left half of the plant but I’m sure that’s just down to shock.

Well a tough week this week. Everything started ok but I increased the nutrients (A&B) the next thing I knew the plants went limp! After 24 hours of panicking thinking they were gonners it turns out they were under watered? I don’t understand how it happened all of a sudden? Obviously a complete Noob mistake 😩😳 Everyone made it through and there all happy again! Last few bits of trimming and lst done before the final 2 weeks or do of Veg.

Bad week this week! One of the bubble bomb Hermied. It literally happend overnight or I missed them but I check everyday! I killed the hermi straight away. I’m hoping I wasn’t too late but since I have found a bannan on the GDP and just one seed on its own on a lower branch. That was 5 days ago and there’s no other signs? Could they still be ok? Any advice welcome. Apart from that they look amazing and smell insane!

So unfortunately things look bad. Already found about 5 large seeds growing in the Bubble Bomb but nothing on the GDP yet but I’d imagine it will also be seedy bud. It’s my first grow so I am going to see it out till the end even if I get seedy bud some of the est buds I’ve smoked have had seeds in the bags so here’s hoping lol Any advice is welcome guys ....

But if a slow week tbh.... but within the last 24 hours the buds have got fatter and taller. Had a magnesium def but added a little cal mag and seems to have done the trick. The smell is amazing but starting to be a bit on top 😂. Anyone’s advice on how long they think the plants have left as I want to give them a 2 week flush

So I started noticing a lot of yellowing leaves early last week. After a lot of panic I flushed them as the soil ph was up to over 9? It’s always been fine? Just seemed to happen over night. All has been good since the flush! Actually think the growth has increased since the flush!

@PeteJames, yeah, those are pollen sacks
PeteJames
PeteJamescommented7 years ago
@bobo420, my first pic on this week updates are the things I pulled off the lower branch of the GPD. I thought they were seeds? Since I removed them I ain’t found anything else. Sorry mate this is my first Grow and just so confused 😂 Thanks for the help and advice mate
bobo420
bobo420commented7 years ago
@PeteJames, I think that you may be confusing the pollen sacks with seeds. If the pollen goes on the female plants you can have seeds in one flower but not in others, depending which ones of them were pollinated

Girls looking super healthy mate 😀 no worries about light lad I always grow under hps veg and flower 😉I germanate under CFL to get good roots then once 4 set nodes appear straight new pot in my tent under 2 X 600w hps 😀 is all about managing conditions mate , you can grow good buds under any lights but if you don't have the right environment to go with you end up small yeild . Airflow , temps and humidity are key once you dial In these it doesn't matter what bulbs you use 😀 anyways looking awesome mate 😀

PeteJamescommented7 years ago
@Fergie, nice man! I’ll prob veg for another 2/3 weeks I’ll just see how they come on butbill leave them as long as they need I’m in no rush.

@Fergie, Thanks mate, it’s all a learning curve for me. This is literally the first thing I’ve ever grown, so it’s all new to me. After my post this morning I decided to top them again so going for 8 colas on each now! Can’t wait to see them flower.

🍁 So going into week 9 now, I was planning on switch the light cycle on Easter Sunday. This is my first grow and first time mainlining, what’s everyone’s opinion are they ok to switch to flower on Sunday or are they still to small? Any advice is appreciated and would help guys, thanks
bobo420
bobo420commented7 years ago
@PeteJames, nice looking plants!¨You can switch them to flower or you can let them grow a bit more still, it depends on what you feel like. Bigger plants, more nodes - more buds.
PeteJames
PeteJamescommentedweek 97 years ago
🍁 5 days until I switch them to 12/12. Getting excited to see the transformation to flower

Heavy week! Underwaterd them and when I was panicking I was wrongly advised online it was over watering! Thankful I realised they were under watered when I went to flush the medium. Everyone made it though and all looking happy again, hopefully it won’t have to much of an impact on the final product

@PeteJames, they're just taking some time to recover after that defoliation, it was quite brutal, but they seem to be catching up now ;)

Hows Bubble Bomb doing now? Love your grow, private message us if you're interested in being a tester and we can watch you grow. Great job for first time, even if the plants got stressed. We could send you some autos to begin with :)

stryka00
stryka00commented7 years ago
@PeteJames, Don’t know about it being good for veg. I looked up the light, looks like it has boosted blue spectrum which helps but not what you need for veg. You will need a MH bulb for the veg stage and get one ASAP (something around in upwards of 4000 kelvin so it’s much more white). Using that HPS bulb like that will throw then plants straight to flowering and you’ll end up with a single popcorn bud and have wasted your entire time. You NEED a MH light ASAP my man before everything goes tits up!
