Well, let’s hope Grease is The Word.
This is humble bagseed I got out of a dispensary jar of some luscious Summertime Squeeze I got at King Kush Collective in South Central which was well reviewed on Thrillist. Smoking it was a memorably wonderful buzz and I wish I had gotten much more, even with a seed or two.
A buddy of mine recently bought a house nearby with a yard and has offered me a sunny spot. I don’t own my land and I don’t have fences, so growing outside hasn’t been an option. Let’s hope it’s a girl! Let’s hope she becomes our summertime squeeze!
From Allbud:
50% Sativa /50% Indica (Leafly calls it sativa)
THC: 14% - 17%
Summertime Squeeze is a sativa dominant hybrid strain of unknown genetics due to a high level of breeder secrecy. Although the exact parentage and indica to sativa ratios are unknown for this bud, it is infamous for its social and active high that’s said to be perfect for hanging out at the beach on a lazy summer day. The high hits you quickly with an uplifting and energizing effect that seems to squeeze any negative or racing thoughts out of your mind, leaving it free to wander in pain-free introspection. This is accompanied by a mellow relaxing body high that calms any pain and leaves you in a state of serenity without upsetting your ability to function. You’ll find yourself incredibly social with this high, carrying on long philosophical conversations well into the night with these long-lasting feelings. These effects and its moderately high THC level of 14-17% make Summertime Squeeze a perfect bud for treating chronic fatigue, mild to moderate cases of depression, chronic pain, and chronic stress or anxiety. Much like the favorite drinks of summer, Summertime Squeeze has a super tasty flavor and smell of sweet tropical citrus with a powerful sugary aftertaste that almost seems to dance across your tongue. This bud has small grape-shaped bright neon green nugs with lots of leaves, long twisty amber hairs, and a frosty layer of tiny amber crystal trichomes.
Trying out some B1. The cotyledons are yellowing so it was time to add some nutrients. Sorry for the late update. Been a bit busy cleaning out the space and trimming a several ounces of weed!
Topped this one last week. I picked off the lowest yellow start leaves. Spraying with Cal-Mag & microbes foliarly. It’s been tricky finding the correct height for the light I have.
Slow growth. Topped at node 3. Any training tips appreciated. Trying to find a good spot under the logo where it won’t get light burn or stretch too much.
Transplanted!. No nutrients except microbes, B1, and mycorrhizae this week. I accidentally broke some of the top growth during LST but she is recovering well. Now in 12” diameter 3.5 actual gal. airpot, 2 parts Recipe 420 soil to 1 part perlite.
This is supposed to be sativa. I’m not sure if I believe it based on leaves. It’s still growing beautifully. Watching for preflowers as this is bagseed.
Been a bit lax on updating this one. Still looking good! Nothing special to report other than I have started to feed light nutrients.
added nematodes day 37
4-30 beginning of week, watered and fed. Significant growth under new light!
5-1 swapped spots with Blueberry Cheese to put her under HLG light. Blueberry Cheese looked like it needed less light and this girl is loving it. Watered with 600 ppm grow nutes.
5-4 Watered 650 ppm grow nutes
5-8 This gal has some striping and purple stem so I added some cal-mag. I’m being careful about ppm as I fed her heavily last week and I don’t want to over do it. Added in Terpinator as I plan to flip soon to bloom.
5-10 watered with 750 ppm grow plus bloom nutes plus epsom salts.
5-11 created more room in the space by elevating everything to the height of the shower seats. Topped off soil and added water plus nematodes as there were some gnats. Super cropped. Light defoliation.
5-21 Added sulpomag, gave a haircut and bacillus thuringiensis israelensis got rid of gnats!!
5-22 watered with microbe tea and Bud Bread but going to let her get a bit more dry since she has been overwatered.
5-29 Beginning of week. The bagseed of course looks nicest. Lifting pot every 2 days to check for moisture levels.
5-30 oops under watered. Watered with Kelp Me Kelp You and Terpinator to runoff and
-slowly- per guidance from @GardenofAutos
5-31 seems okay!
6-4 Still vegging while my blueberry recovers from bad things. Installed the peony rings to more evenly space branches for light and air exposure. Last water 6-3 and she is drinking more.
6-10 I’m assuming this is calcium or potassium deficiency?
6-12 Pot felt light. Watered/fed & defoliated. Took a few scalps and wired a few branches to the flower grid to spread them more evenly.
I got this seed in dispensary bud. It’s very simple to the original bud in buzz! This plant was really hardy and the buds got really sticky. I wish I had not taken so many scalps to get bigger colas but this still came out very nice.
