My finalists for my next indoor. We are taking advantage of the long days and good weather and vegging outside while my strawberry glue from
Th seeds finishes up.
Novice breeder here so bare with me 😂
Poncho BOMB(fem): thc bomb X pre 98(purple city genetics) X bag seed I picked up from Mexico.
Took a Clone from my Mexican bag seed and hermied it out and bred with my pre 98 x thc bomb from PCG. The bag seed grew out some seriously long and somewhat dense colas(but leafy) and smelled very Sativa like. the PCG genetics were flawlessly on point. of all the seeds cracked for this next project these were the first to pop and so far the largest with the most foliage.. hopefully we get a good one
Bubba walker REG
Same pre98 cross from purple city genetics crossed with a really weird sky walker OG I got from Bag seed years ago(now in third gen)I think it was pollinated by some sort of Sativa) most offspring from these seeds now display pink pistils. Put a few of these outdoors over winter to bud and actually had some interesting results(including a pink pistol pheno) so I threw two in for the hell of it. The goal would be to get a resinous dense high yielding pheno(like the pre98 thcbomb cross with better colors and smells like the funky sky walker seeds produce.
Bubbawalker f2 REG
Inbred with a more Indica exhibiting male
The rest is self explanatory. Lots of critical crosses(hoping my dehumidifier holds up this grow)
Stoked to get a go at this raspberry diesel
The peyote critical has been super vigorous. Started later than the rest.
Transplanted into 1 and .5 gallon containers with some organic potting soil. The grow room has another 15 days(Or so) till harvest So I’m going to keep these girls outdoors until then. Then they will be going into 7 gal fabric pots and going inside.
They were all topped for a second time during transplanting.(except for the critical kushs which were given their first)
Won’t be doing any feeding for a while most likely, prolly just an occasional dose of root enhancement.
Some of the more Sativa varieties getting a bit lanky. The pancho bombs and raspberry diesel mainly. I’m hoping they aren’t stretching from pre flower(all the more reason to harvest the flower room sooner than later) as the natural daylight hours have dropped to about 14 hours.
- harvested flower room. Cleaned. Re-potted. And moved 5 of the plants in the tent today. Starting with all the critical crosses. The rest will be moved in tomorrow.
Left for vacation for a week. Garden sitter did an ok job. Apart from overwatering (nearly flushed em :/) threw the rest of the strains under a 400w hps. They were transplanted to 5 gal and will stay there.
So far on the critical cross side of things
Critical hog and pancho bomb #3 are the main standouts. The critical kush aren’t responding as vigorously to the topping and scrog bending but stacking nice short nodes. The peyote critical was the most stretched out and lime colored bordering on yellow. Not sure exactly what’s wrong here but I’m going to start with bringing the ph down and administering a full spectrum( half strength) nute boost.. that is once the soil drys a bit.
The purple trainwrecks have had some weird veg growth especially when topped. Instead of Two uniform new shoots I’m ending up with one normal and one deformed gimpy thin one.. sometimes with whirled deformed leaves.. lol. Has happened on both purple trainwreck plants.
Raspberry diesel is pretty lanky but growing normally.
Will probably flip in a week from now
Peyote critical rebounded nicely with a little love.
Did some wacky defoliation on the critical hog with plans to harvest much of the center growth for clones.
The pancho bomb #3 is growing like a freak. Crazy branching everywhere. Hopefully it won’t result in stemmy buds 😂 if the herbs turn out well on this lady she’s staying for sure.
The critical kush’s are starting to fill out nicely as well.
Flipped on the 13th. We didn’t quite make it all around the scrog but we got pretty close. Had a pretty crazy gnat/white fly thing for a bit but got it under control with sticky traps and a neem oil baptism 😂. Defoliating and taking cuts Later today.
I’m having some weird growth with a lot of the plants in the 7 gal pots. Lots of yellowing almost pale and everything is growing a bit weird. It’s been getting insanely hot the past week but not sure if that’s the cause.
Phew.. temps dropped, gave them one feeding of normal grow solution at 70% strength, and plain water and we seemed to have made a bit of a recovery. I switched out my wall timer as well as it was off sync 😭 and the lights were going on earlier and earlier in the day... uhg. I think temperature played the biggest part in my issues and a lake of N and the containers were pretty damn dried out. Pretty decent recovery I’d say from what we saw 8 days ago. 😬
