7/12 - Installed scrog, ladies are just reaching over eight inches. First ever grow and finding it to be a relaxing hobby, a small 3x3. Spend time just sitting with the ladies. Coco coir (from brick) and perlite medium. Sour Kush is 2 weeks younger but growing quite nicely, removed a lower branch that did not fully develop and had three shriveled leaves. Wonder if that was from over watering, but the rest of the plant is in good shape. The branch limb was very small and not fully developed. Just reached the scrog height. OG Kush is getting bushy, saw the white pistils for the first time near the top of the main stem. Starting to bend the main stem under the scrog. 450cc nutrient each and 150cc water in the morning, 300cc nutrient and 150cc water each, had proper runoff.

7/13 - Morning feed: 450cc nutrient water each - little run off. Tightened scrog screen. OG Kush is bushy. Sour Kush is tall but not yet bushy. Evening feed: 300cc nutrient water and 200cc plain water - after adding 200cc plain water more than 20% runoff. 7/14 - Morning feed: 500cc nutrient water OG Kush (20% runoff), 300cc Sour Kush (little runoff) OG Kush is starting to give off smell. Need intake fan, leaving a flap open allows smell out of tent to compensate for too much negative air pressure. Need dehumidifier. Evening feed: 500cc nutrient and 200cc plain water OG Kush (70cc runoff) 500cc nutrient and 200cc plain water (50cc runoff). 7/15 - Morning feed 500cc nutrient water OG Kush (20% runoff ppm 391 out/491 in) Sour Kush has brown tips on lower leaves, suspect nutrient burn. Flushed with PH neutral 900cc water. Both plants are growing. Added 6" fan to blow on lower part of canopy. Evening feed: OG Kush: 500cc nutrient and 300cc plain water (190cc runoff) Sour Kush: 500cc nutrient and 300cc plain water (250cc runoff). 7/16 - Morning feed: OG Kush: 600cc nutrient and 200cc plain water (210cc runoff, ppm 390, PH 5.5-6.5) Sour Kush: 500cc nutrient and 300cc plain water (160cc runoff, ppm 391, PH 5-5.5). OG Kush really bushy, Sour Kush lanky in comparison. Installed new "Gocheer Upgraded Dehumidifier for Home,2000ml(64oz) Water Tank Dehumidifier", seems to be working, voltage reducer runs hot. Noticed burn tips on upper new leaves of OG Kush. Evening feed: OG Kush: 900cc plain water flush (210cc runoff) Sour Kush: 300cc nutrient and 300cc plain water (110cc runoff). Humidifier light glows, how to disable light? 7/17 - Morning feed: OG Kush: 300cc nutrient and 300cc plain water (110cc runoff) Sour Kush: 300cc nutrient and 500cc plain water (185cc runoff). Decided to leave dehumidifier on all night despite the lights, figure the girls are autoflowers, shouldn't matter. Evening feed: OG Kush: 300cc nutrient and 500cc plain water flush (150cc runoff) Sour Kush: 300cc nutrient and 500cc plain water (115cc runoff). 7/18 - Pruned old damaged leaves from OG and a couple from the Sour and then fed them. Morning feed: OG Kush: 300cc nutrient and 600cc plain water (190cc runoff/567/5-5.5 acidic) Sour Kush: 300cc nutrient and 600cc plain water (120cc runoff/455/). OG is looking like it's over watered, switch to one a day feeding. Has lots of leaves, keeps humidity high. Sour is nothing like OG with the leaves, probably better to grow that instead of OG next time, less humidity headache. Dehumidifier is about quarter full (16oz) after a day and a half. RH was 60 when lights came on, was 74 the previous morning. Evening feed: Sour Kush: 200cc nutrient and 600cc plain water (110cc runoff). Added another 200cc plain water resulting in an additional 150cc runoff. Skipped OG Kush feeding. Giving the OG Kush away, that'll give the Sour Kush room to spread out under the scrog net. Lights out - RH 49%. 7/19 - 24 hour morning readings - RH 44-61%, Temp 75-84° Put OG Kush aside. Moved SK to the middle of the scrog net, spent a good 20 minutes making the changes. Morning feed: Sour Kush: 300cc nutrient and 800cc plain water (270cc runoff). OG Kush has a new home. Evening feed: Sour Kush: 500cc nutrient and 700cc plain water (220cc runoff) ---------------------------- From here on only the Sour Kush starting week 5 ------------------------------ 7/20 - 24 hour morning readings - RH 44-63%, Temp 73-86° Spent time scrogging with ties. Morning feed: 500cc nutrient and 600cc plain water (340cc runoff/464 ppm/5.5-6.5 ph). Evening feed: 500cc nutrient and 500cc plain water (270cc runoff). Looking like a little nutrient burn on some fan leaves. 7/21 - 24 hour morning readings - RH 40-63%, Temp 73-86° Lights on RH - 58% Morning feed: 500cc nutrient and 700cc plain water (215cc runoff). Looking good this morning, grew some but not as much as I expected. Evening feed: 500cc nutrient and 600cc plain water (200cc runoff). 7/22 - 24 hour morning readings - RH 40-62%, Temp 75-84° Skip feedings today. Taking two step approach to address phosphorous deficiency. Two possible causes for the deficiency, 1. lack of nutrient, 2. overwatering. Address the overwatering before adding additional nutrient into feed. I've been giving more water than usual, scale back and then see if the purple stems continue. Thinking it's overwatering because the new stems are turning purple. Hope that's it. Tended the OG Kush in her temp home. Once a day feed: 300cc nutrient, 600cc plain water (300cc runoff). Getting direct sunlight for 10 hours a day, main stem spurted 3 inches taller overnight. Reacting well to her new environment. Flushed the Sour Kush and fed 300cc nutrient, next feeding tomorrow. 7/23 - 24 hour morning readings - RH 37-64%, Temp 75-86° Daily feed: 1500cc nutrient, 300cc plain water, 260cc runoff. Had new growth in good condition, will continue once a day watering. OG Kush went to her permanent home. Wasn't there when I went to visit. Reacted well after yesterday's pruning. Looks like it's recovering from the phosphorous deficiency. 7/24 - 24 hour morning readings - RH 37-60%, Temp 74-88° Can see steady progress in her recovery from the phosphorous deficiency. Air conditioning has been out for the last couple of days, good thing it's in the basement. Daily single feed: 900cc nutrient, 300cc plain water, 600cc nutrient, 290cc runoff. Snapped a stem, not totally off, used black smooth electrical tape to mend the snap. 7/25 - 24-hour morning readings - RH 50-71%, Temp 75-88° Daily single feed: 1800cc nutrient, 170cc runoff. 7/26 - 24-hour morning readings - RH 50-73%, Temp 75-88° Daily single feed: 1800cc nutrient, 240cc runoff. AC gets repaired on 7/30. ---------------------------- Sour Kush week 6 ------------------------------ From here on doubled the nutrient ingredients to up the ppm to 890-900. 7/27 - 24-hour evening readings - RH 53-73%, Temp 77-88° Daily single feed: 1800cc nutrient, 1200cc plain water, 600cc runoff (ppm 841 out - 891 in, 5.5-6.5 ph) Running the lights at night while the AC is on the fritz. Seems the snapped stem is mending. 7/28 - 24-hour evening readings - RH 54-74%, Temp 77-86° Daily single feed: 1800cc nutrient, 600cc plain water, 400cc runoff. Running the lights at night while the AC is on the fritz. Seems the snapped stem is mending? Purple branches recovering green color. 7/29 - 24-hour evening readings - RH 56-76%, Temp 77-86° Daily single feed: 1800cc nutrient, 300cc plain water, 450cc runoff. Running the lights at night while the AC is on the fritz. Seems the snapped stem is mending? Purple branches recovering green color. Emptied dehumidifier for the first time. 7/30 - 24-hour evening readings - RH 56-76%, Temp 77-86° Daily single feed: 2400cc nutrient, 240cc runoff. Running the lights at night while the AC is on the fritz. Seems the snapped stem is mending? Don't think so. Purple branches recovering green color, pruned a couple of lower fan leaves 7/31 - 24-hour evening readings - RH 56-76%, Temp 75-86° Daily single feed: 2400cc nutrient, 306cc runoff. Running the lights at night, AC repaired today! Seems the snapped stem is mending? Don't think so. Fan leaves fell off. leaves were white and stem was purple. 8/01 - 24-hour evening readings - RH 54-76%, Temp 74-86° Daily single feed: 2400cc nutrient, 270cc runoff. Returning to regular daytime light schedule. Snapped stem tip didn't make it. Plant looks healthy where it counts.

OG Kush 6 weeks, Sour Kush 4 weeks, both autos. RH ranges from the low 50s (84°) with the lights on to 70 (72°) at night with the lights off. They're in a 3x3x6 grow tent in 3 gal. smart pots with coco coir. perlite mix medium. Is the RH range okay or should I get it tighter? TY

Because you grow in water your humidity isnt as much of a factor in veg, but when you get into mid to later flowering you want to try to get it down in the 30 to 38 range. With water underneath just like a bubble cloner humidity isnt an issue. Cheers

Sour Kush Day 24 (Coco/perlite) - brown tip appearing on lower fan leaves. I suspect it's nutrient burn. Flushed with 900cc PH neutral water, lot of runoff, PPM was 391 (PPM in 495). Should I cut back on feeding by diluting the nutrient water or by watering less frequently? TY

Lower older leaves is nothing to worry about. Your girl looks pretty happy to me. I would say 495 ppm if your using 5 scale is close to 1.0ec. To me that seems low but things look ok with your girl. Your getting near the point, when the roots engulf the fabric planter, will make you need more water so you dont leave dry spots in the root zone that creates little brown spots half way and near the top of the plant. Make sure you water to you have a lot of runoff. Cheers

I bought a dehumidifier for the 3x3 tent with 2 autoflowers, an OG Kush 6wks, Sour Kush 4wks. I'm planning to leave the dehumidifer on 24/7 despite the led light that shines. My question is it okay to leave the dehumidifier on 24/7?

What ever you need to keep the proper humidity, it will add heat to your tent if heat is an issue. If you could Mcgyver a vent with carbon filters and Mcgyver it to the intake on the dehumidifier would be a solution if your heat goes whack. Cheers friend

Hey Growmie, Looking at the photos and how you describe it, this is a Phosphorus Deficiency. It generally appears on leaves from the lower/older parts of the plant. The lower leaves may turn dark green or yellow, and start getting spots or big splotches that look brown, bronze, or even a little blue. The leaves may thicken and curl, and the affected leaves feel stiff. Sometimes the stems of the plant turn bright red or purple. The way you fix this is by giving the plant a“bloom” or “flowering” nutrient since it contains high levels of phosphorus to aid in flower production, and phosphorus from a liquid nutrient is one of the most readily available forms of phosphorus you can provide to your cannabis plants. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".

They will absolutely recover. They can survive little bits of drought. The leaves will recover, she might just drink faster after you water her again.

09/07 - 24 hour Mid-day readings 42-70% rh, 68-82° temp. Noon feed - 1,800cc ph neutral water, 700cc runoff. Harvesting tomorrow. Checked the buds with the microscope and more than 50% of the trichomes are cloudy, didn't see any amber but that's alright, time to chop-chop. After checking the trichomes, dismantled the scrog net, will go with a 4" mesh next time vs a 6" mesh. Needed more netting for the branches for this grow 09/08 - Harvested, trimmed and paper bag drying.

Couldn't ask for an easier first ever grow. Smell has a strong citrus tinge to it, very intoxicating just breathing it. Harvested today September 8, 2020. Will update with more later. 2020-09-11 - Jumped the gun, sampled a wet bud, figured the fire would dry it. It smoked very smooth and the high was on the mark. I read that not drying the bud would lead to some harsh smoke but my brother and I smoked some undried buds and it was smooth. Might have been a little early in the harvest window but definitely within the window.
