I wanted to start with a greenhouse strainhunters strain, but after the seed cracked i lost it. the seller was very helpfull and offered me another choice, Trainwreck was my choice. It's known as a 21% thc flower so i'm hoping for some good :) I had more pictures of the previous weeks, but i lost all of them. I have installed a couple of cxa1820 cob's, i run one on 20W and one on 30W, on the other side i have another 30W epistar cob. planning to put the plant in 12/12 mode one of these days.

Welcome to my semi-organic Trainwreck in it's fourth week I trimmed most of the fan leaves i noticed that i might have screwed up my fimming. not sure about readjusting it put the switch on 12/12 this week lights for bloom will be something like: diy cree cxa 1820 (40 watt capable cob chips, but i run them at 20-30 watt) and epistar 50W running at 30W -UPDATE!!! last day of babygirl trainwreck's week I transplanted her into a 3 gallon/10liter pot fed her molasses and salicyc acid 1,5ml solution (soluted 100mg in 100ml water ) for root stimulation LST'd her heavily, i tried another classical LST again, after this i won't lollypop for some time now On the bottom of the pot i mixed the soil with a handfull of dutch cow manure pellets (dried) and chicken fertilizer (dried chicken shit) I dressed the top of the soil with a hand of chicken fertilizer too. Besides this organic feeding, i will continue to use mineral feeding too, This combination brings me the best of both worlds, mineral and organic tastes combined..... drewl drewl

After transplanting with some organic fertilizers on the bottom of the pot, also on top of the soil a bit chicken fertilizer (my version of supersoil). I will let her rest a bit, let her get used to her new surroundngs. She reacted very good on the LST and is on her way back up.

Welcome to the endless weeks of trying to get this girl to flower. I'm getting ready to put her in a closet for two days without light. Maybe that will get her ready she looks good though, not much growth, but she's in the corner a bit. I'm waiting another 2 days, if i still don't see any sign of flowering hairs she will go to a dark closet for 2 days.

i really like the progression going on The second week of flowering/bloom has started and her bud already looks like they have reached week 3. I raised the ec just a little, i have my own kind of supersoil (cow and chicken fertilizer mixed soil) on the bottom for extra power. i had some minor nutrent burning, i think the roots are looking into the organic mix on the bottom. But that was on the older leaves, i will keep an eye on that. She looks so pretty, i keep staring at her every day...

Week 4 Flowering ok, not much happening this week she's doing well, a little bit nutrient burn on the tips, so i'm not raising the ec yet. I'm planning to add some pk 13-14 the coming week i'm using molasses almost from the beginning for the friendly bacteria it comes with.

She maturing a bit faster than expected, brown hairs since week 4 of flowering i have spotted some mites, so i'm keeping the soil a bit wet. I have added some garlic to scare the bloodsuckers away. I also noticed a pottasium deficiency, so i started with pk this week, i will only give it this week. It could be light burning too, but its only visible on older leaves

Happy Harvest Day!

Very strong smoke, i can compare the high with lemon haze about same strength, when you like stoned like mexican haze/casey jones in the evening, this is perfect for daytime, but a daytime white whidow/powerplant smoker will have to put this aside for late in the evening. Smell of the flowering plant is awesome, it's just like a light joint/stickie. The taste of mine wasn't perfect, i think i grilled some spider mites in too. No couch lock, easy inhale with or without tobacco. She doesn't need to much nutrients, so go easy on the nutes ;) Talking about my yield... well, you can start with making fun of me first, because i grew this plant for 14 weeks to produce less than 35 grams of wet bud. The leaves were covered in trichomes so i rolled some in a paper and came to the conclusion that the leaf tastes about the same as the bud, really impressive. And.... ofcourse i smoked almost all before writing the harvest report :)

very easy to grow, but i messed up, she doesn't like to have her leaves taken of and doesn't respond well, same with repotting, i hope it's just this phenotype that came in my hands. Not too much nutrients, and grows fast to her harvest. The smoke is very nice and strong.

What a clean looking plant! All the bud sites are clearly defined, and have their own space. There isn't a lot of unused light space. You do a great job of utilizing the available light. You won't have as much of a yield as you might in a larger space, with more light, but the buds are all going to be really nice due to your training. 👊

@Quexos, I don't know if it's the LED, or just the strains i grow, but lately my weed doesn't smell as much as before, but the weed is stronger than in the past.

Quexoscommented7 years ago
@Smokwiri, I get a little smell if I touch the sugar leaves, but the grow tent just smells like something growing. The smell is piney and a bit citrusy. It would be nice if it stank up the place. I was going to use some product that comes in a jar and you open it up in the room you want to purify, but I bought the grow tent and filter instead. We bought some at Costco. We use it in the room that houses our dog kennels at night. The room doesn't smell like dog anymore!

@Quexos, carbon filters are super, if you want to smell the plant in a room with filter you have to rub the stem to catch the smell, in the past i used filters, but now it's so micro, i don't need filters anymore

Great bud shots! They are very crystally. Small yield, but quality bud. Will you grow this strain again?
Smokwiri
Smokwiricommented7 years ago
@Quexos, I think i already found a couple of favourite strains without weed smell. The sugar kush and candy kush, both have a fruity - sweet smell instead of anything like weed. So i can easily grow them without any carbon filter. Currently i also have the critical, which will stink up the place soon, but that one is outdoor. I already have a tent for bad weather, but i don't think i will need that. So we both got lucky with the smell this time :)
Quexos
Quexoscommented7 years ago
@Smokwiri, I guess I was lucky that I had a strain that gave off almost no smell! Do you have some sort of carbon filter set up for the strong smelling strains? I bought one for my newest grow because I read that it was one stinky strain. I hope it works. I've read a lot of plans for DIY carbon filters. Maybe you can make something? I suppose you can just research the strains for low odor and hope for the best.
Smokwiri
Smokwiricommented7 years ago
@Quexos,I'm not too sure about growing it soon again, but it is a strong strain with a nice taste, so in the future, perhaps a couple of grows further i will put anoher one. Smell is main reason, when it nears finishing it stinks up the room, i smoke weed all the time so neighbours don't really notice the difference, or they know it (i put 'm outside on regular base), but i don't want to bother them too much with that continuous scent.

Damn spider mites. Did they attack your entire grow tent? At the end of the day, even if the herb doesn't look great, as long as it tastes smooth, and chills me the hell out, I'm happy.
Quexos
Quexoscommented7 years ago
@Smokwiri, Grrr. Sorry to hear that. At least your Trainwreck made it.
Smokwiri
Smokwiricommented7 years ago
@Quexos, Yes, 2 others in the same room got infected too, i tried to move the spider mites away from the buds by putting the trainwreck next to the healthy ones. It helped a lot, the Trainwreck is already finished and survived the attack. One of the others was in early flowering and one in preflowering so i sprayed the hell out of those spider mites on those girls.

Quexoscommentedweek 47 years ago
So you flipped her after week 3? That is a long time??!!! She doesn't show much in the way of flowering yet. Maybe its in shock from all the bondage! Hehe.
Quexos
Quexoscommented7 years ago
@Smokwiri, I guess if you had given it one of those weeks to recover, you might've seen more progress. You have your first pistils though, so you are well on your way. I'm starting to see my girl stretch out a bit. She is starting to show pistils, but your flowers are still more developed.
Smokwiri
Smokwiricommented7 years ago
@Quexos, i think the lollypop was too early and caused some slowdown, i also left the light on 24 hours one day somewhere in the middle, so it's likely my own fault she does look very healthy and has nice dark leaves. she has grown a tiny bit in length and showed her first sign of floweriing a couple days after being in the dark for 36 hours

Woot! Very happy to hear you have such great smoke! Will there be a harvest report? What's next on the agenda??? Inquiring minds want to know!
Smokwiri
Smokwiricommented7 years ago
@Quexos, Harvest report will follow in a couple of days. Not too sure what will be coming next, maybe another kandy kush, maybe something totally different. 😀

Quexoscommentedweek 127 years ago
I'm amazed that you were able to keep this plant around 10 inches tall throughout the grow. The small, compact buds might also be a characteristic of the strain/pheno you grew.
Smokwiri
Smokwiricommented7 years ago
@Quexos, yes, i think i was a bit too succesfull to keep the plant this small/low. I think i made a lot of mistakes with this one, i topped/fimmed too early (there wasn't any sign of bloom so there is more than one bud emerging from the top, but only one has grown more than the rest. anyway, if i get 20 grams from this one, i'll be amazed.
Quexos
Quexoscommentedweek 117 years ago
The buds look pretty compact. Is that the case? Based on the pistils do you think about 2-3 weeks? Will you maybe do a partial harvest and allow the other buds to finish up?
Smokwiri
Smokwiricommented7 years ago
@Quexos, yes, luckily the buds feels compact. And since the pistils are getting browner every day i think she will finish sooner than expected. Very good idea to do a partial harvest of the finished buds, a couple of buds will be ready for harvest earlier.
Quexos
Quexoscommentedweek 97 years ago
Buds are forming nicely! You have a lot of nice little button flowers growing. I can't believe how clean your under-canopy looks! Mine is a little jungle, and I'm afraid to really clear it out at this point.
Smokwiri
Smokwiricommented7 years ago
@Quexos,i'm really satisfied with this trainwreck strain, since the ligthing is at micro level (i aim at 20-30gr/plant), the development of her bud looks kind of impressive compared to the kush strains i often tend to choose, ofcourse the kush strains don't yield that much, but taste and thc level is often impressive. The under canopy looks clean indeed, the defoliation at early stage really helped to achieve this result.

Quexoscommentedweek 87 years ago
Beautiful recovery on your little girl! Nice growth, and of course your LST really opened up the middle for secondary bud development. Are you going to trim some of those giant fan leaves? I've noticed that they throw an awful lot of shade in such a controlled space.
Smokwiri
Smokwiricommented7 years ago
@Quexos, i was thinking about trimming somme fan leaves, i think it will happen one of these days.

Smokwiri
Smokwiricommented7 years ago
@Canna420uk, I loved the smoke too, i hope my grow tastes the same or perhaps better. for now the growth seems to have stagnated a bit, i'm thinking about transplanting but not sure. it could be that the 7 liter pot is too small, for what i'm used. it's a bit the difference between a 2 gallon and a 3 gallon pot. it is possible that i will get in ttouble with this transplantation to 3 gallon pot

You will have 20 grams of round, dense nuggets that taste and smell delicious! You can enjoy that while you practice your botanical bondage on another plant!
Quexos
Quexoscommentedweek 107 years ago
I don't think its the LED lighting causing your herb to not smell as much. There are a lot of strains that have a weak aroma when flowering. A lot of the herb that I've gotten from friends over the years has had a very light aroma. That isn't the case with dispensary herb though. I've found a lot of those strains to be very pungent. I'm not surprised that my girl isn't smelling up the house. The herb I usually get from that person is not very fragrant. I'm really surprised that your Trainwreck isn't a lot more smelly.

Appreciate the grow info since I have Trainwreck seedlings going and am not familiar with it in any way. Description was interesting to me, so I bought the seeds. Lol! I'm glad to know you thought the smoke was good enough to re-veg the plant.
the end.
