Critical Jack - Orto Magico

HDThoreau First week of life for little Critical Jack. Everything is going perfectly. The seed germinated in less than 24 hours and I was able to put it in the small pot after 48 hours. Fantastic! For this first week, I prepared a mix of worm humus (70% by volume) and coconut fiber (30% by volume) in a small pot. Soon I will transplant the plant into a larger and more comfortable pot. The idea is to grow Critical Jack in my garden in a relatively small pot (4 liters). I need to keep the plant small but at the same time productive. Around here, cannabis plants start to flower during the first week of August. This means that Critical Jack will have about a month to grow before flowering. In this way, with a modest-sized pot and a short vegetative phase, I should be able to keep the plant's size in check while still having a good yield. I'm quite confident 😁

HDThoreau At the beginning of this second week of growth, I transplanted the little plant into a 4-liter pot. The substrate is a mix of worm humus (pH 7.2) and a great universal soil (pH 6). I believe the plant didn't experience any transplant stress because it continued to grow visibly even in the following days. The plant has a nice green color, but not intense, and the growth seems to be optimal. I started providing the plant with organic fertilizer specific for this phase, and it seems to be working quite well.

HDThoreau In this third week, the plant has had very fast growth. The stem of the plant has become much thicker and sturdier. I think it's thanks to the wind that's blowing, light but constant. The lateral branches are also starting to grow. In my opinion, it will become a beautiful plant with a strong Sativa character. In fact, I'm thinking of not applying any stress methods and letting it develop with as natural a structure as possible. I will only apply a bit of LST on the lateral branches when the right time comes, to improve their light exposure. For the rest, I continued to provide the same organic fertilizers and in the same doses as last week. I will keep it up until the flowering phase. For now, I'm very satisfied. 😁

HDThoreau Critical Jack has a truly impressive growth. This week, the plant has significantly increased its volume. The typical Sativa structure gives it a really nice appearance. Throughout the week, I continued to provide the same doses of organic fertilizer. Generally, flowering should start during the first week of August, but the plant still doesn't show the pre-flowers that indicate the approach of the next phase. I hope it doesn't grow more than expected 😅

HDThoreau The plant has grown a lot in this fifth week. It has a really nice structure. At the beginning of the week, I bent down the lower lateral branches because otherwise, they would receive too little light. The plant has reached a height of 40 cm, so I believe it will turn into a nice Christmas tree in the end! 😂 I'm also noticing that there are pre-flowers at the base of the branches. Luckily, the flowering phase isn't far off. Let's hope it doesn't stretch too much upwards. I would like it to stay as discreet as possible.

HDThoreau Sixth week of the vegetative phase and the plant seems to have no intention of flowering. On one hand, I'm worried about the final size the plant might reach, but on the other hand, I'm happy. If the plant doesn't start flowering even next week, I'll have to force it into the next phase. I'll position it in the sun from 8 in the morning to 8 in the evening, and for the remaining 12 hours, I'll put it inside in total darkness. I still hope I won't have to do that and that next week will be the start of flowering. In the meantime, I've changed the nutrition by adding organic fertilizer specific for flowering. Hoping it helps the plant start changing its metabolism. The plant has a wonderful structure. True Sativa. Despite the small pot size, it's developing significantly. It's really beautiful. I'm in love with it. One of the best plants I've ever grown. It has a particular personality and from the very first day of germination, it showed incredible vigor and vitality. I'm very happy! 😊

HDThoreau Seventh week of the vegetative phase. I didn't think the plant could grow so much in a small pot. I really hope it starts flowering soon, otherwise I'll have problems with both the final height of the plant and the flowering period. Usually around here it starts raining a lot in October, so I wouldn't want to have issues with mold later on. The plant is really beautiful! I can't wait to see it bloom.

HDThoreau Finally, the last phase of vegetation has passed. On the trunk of the plant, at the base of the internodes and on the side branches, small flowers are starting to sprout. From now on, I will change the type of nutrition I provide to the plant. I will still continue to supply growth fertilizer but with a generous addition of nutrients specific for flowering. The plant looks magnificent and will be even more beautiful by the end of flowering!
