Firstly, thanks to the Sweet Seeds Team, not only do you produce awesome genetics but you also know how to treat your customers well.
This Jack 47 XL should be interesting.
The seed was in a wet paper towel for roughly 24 hours before it popped and once in the ground it emerged from the soil in less than 24 hours.
I am growing in Biobizz Light Mix as has been the case with my other plants.
I am quite happy with the Sweet Seeds strains overall. So far they have been easy to grow and have responded well to cloudy yet hot weather.
It is now week 2, won't be hitting it with nutes until next week.
Super rapid growth after just 1 nutrient feeding.
I have had problems with thrips in some of my other grows, so I have now sprayed this baby with some powdered Neem diluted in water.
I've also decided not to LST this one, just to see what happens.
Pistils have now started to form.
God damn she grew really fast in a matter of a week. You can see she is well and truly in to flower. I have now swapped over to 2.5ml per liter of bloom nutes and I hit her with that once per week.
Think pistils have continued to grow on the bud sites. Considering I decided not to LST this one, I'm still quite impressed and my prediction is that this plant will produce some nice juicy buds.
Once per week I give the plant a spray with some Neem powder dissolved in water as I had problems with thrips. I can report that there are no thrips and I am super happy with the product. Once the plant starts to produce actual buds I will discontinue the use of Neem.
This week has seen some decent fattening of the buds. I stop spraying with Neem and so far everything looks alright. I somewhat expected larger bud structure by now but there are still a few weeks to go, so we'll see.
Not a hell of a lot to report this week. Buds are still growing in size and all seems to be going well. I do kind of regret not LSTing this girl, but the experiment was worth it.
My goodness she is a stinky stinky girl. THe main cola is really fattening up and slowly the fan leaves are starting to yellow. I will continue with flower nutes this week but might begin the flush from next week. I also decided to tie out the side branches this week.
Pistils are browning up nicely and the buds are really fattening. The smell is incredibly strong at the moment. Leaves are yellowing off and I predict 1 or 2 more weeks before harvest.
The yellowing of leaves continues and I have begun flushing with 6.5ph water. The smell is incredibly strong and sweet.
My prediction is that one more week and she'll be done.
I really enjoyed growing this strain. It grew really easy as with most of the Sweet Seeds Autos. I did expect a little more bud density but nevertheless she grew quite well.
I harvested and wet trimmed on the 25th of September. Today is the 29th and the buds have been drying in the HerbDryer which I absolutely love. The relative humidity in my house sits at around 60-65%, so I purchased a mini dehumidifier which sits directly under the HerbDryer intake and I am able to maintain mid to high 50s RH. There is nothing I can do about the temperature at the moment, so hopefully all turns out well when it is time to pop them in a jar for the cure in a few days time.
