Hi all, this will be my side project testing on random bagseed with Promix BX (soiless). Will be experimenting it on Advance nutrience 3 Trio bottles VS Root Farm 3 bottles until i can tell the gender then just keep 1 female and go with whichever nuts grow the healthiest. 75% chance to get 1 female plant.. cross finger.
I will also mainfold/LST on the plant once i know the gender.

Day 16.
Started first feeding yesterday, spots many deficiency (i think, please check pictures at the bottom of the plant).
PH is set at 5.9-6.0
only 500ml per plant.
feed only half of recommendation and up little by little from there.
Feeding style; water, Feed, Feed, Water.. repeat until i spot deficiency then just feed feed feed water etc.
Seem like the one closest to the light grow the fastest, the other two is slow behind.
Main two has 6 nodes.. i think it is too early to tell if female or male.. please check pictures and advice if you can, greatly appreciated :)

Hi, I am waiting until i can tell if its a male or female before transplanting it into a 5gallon pot. I am just waiting maybe 1 more week. Right now, it showing deficiency at the lower branch. is it deficiency or maybe root bound because of this small pot size? seedling is 17 day

Week 4, I decided to cut to clone (12/12) to reveal gender faster. I notice that its hollow in the middle, is this normal? I placed the clone in a separated dome. I also did some LST, Topping etc.

More in line with the question and with what ExperimentGreen said, make sure you get no debris in it but that extends also to air, the second tou cut it you want it straight in water kr hormone powder/gel to seal the wound and stop any air getting in, a bubble of air will kill the cut quickly.
In conclusion this is the most fun and challenge experience for me. I learned how to spot M/F @ early stages by forcing it to reveal it sex when i topped the top off and put it clone in a different dome. I started 12/12 cycle right away and to my surprise, it started to show sex/flower before it even have roots lol. So Plant 1 is Female yay, Plant 2 is too early to tell i think because the clone i topped turn hermie at 12/12 cycles (please check pict). so now the mother show good signs being Female because of it long balls? (can't remember what it call lol). plant 3 is def MALE,.
I am very happy to have atleast 1 female :). Even though i didn't take good care of the mother (see picture of how it was stretched). but will take good care of her from now on.
I will be using RF nuts from here on, because RF shows promising result.
Will switch to flower stage in few days.

Promix bx medium takes too long to dry. As a result i only feed every 4 days.
In the future will try the hp one instead.
Hi, are forced to grow outdoor. For first 3 days outdoor , I realised it was under 14+hours light (because the tarp is not light proof). But luckily, it didnt turn hermie on me yet.. yay.
But are growing nice. I am planning to experiment this plant with some ewc + st + molasses. Since promix bx is mostly peat moss with mycorrhazai, I think molasses would benefit from it

Plant is looking good outdoor. Added molasses and alaska fish emu. Bottom leave show sign of N diff. Will add more N next RF feeding. To be continues...
Hi, today i spotted a big pistil sag with brown hair. The rest of the bud look fine except for this one bud. I attached a picture and circled the part. Am i paranoid or is this normal? Please advice and thank you all in advance :). Plant is going into week 4 of flowering.
Bad weather here for the past 4 days again, wind speed was around 30-50km/h. It damaged many of my outdoor tomato plants. I did tarp this baby though so it didnt turn out so bad. Soil took longer to dry than normal. I did poke some air hole. So far so good.
Weather got crazy cold + heavy rain storm all week. Finally recovered. Bud growth is still skinny and not as fat as I hope yet.. thinking of flushing for 12 days next week before harvest. Think its ready?? Any advice??
Hi, I cut one small bud from the bottom to inspect the trichome and I found a big seed in it.. this plant was from a bag seed. Does this mean it hermied, should I harvest it now before it effect other buds / plant? Thank you all.
I just would let her until the harvettime is come... If she is pollinated, the damage is already done.....
It happens that plants pollinating themselves.....
And you will get smokeable weed too,,, and seeds..

Did your girl hermie or do you know the source of the pollen?
You should check up your gilr carefully and try to look opened/closed pollen sacks or just the nanners in the buds even.
If there is seeds that mean the pollination has already happened and cutting early wont give you any benefit unless your plant hermied and there is still more pollen AND you have more girls that might be affected.
From this point on your girl will mature till the end normally except there is also seeds in your buds, but cutting early will just give you early cutted weed with smaller seeds in it so finish her (ladyboy?) for sure 👌
Bad weather outdoor and knocked this baby off overnight. Bended and damaged many colas. Cut the one off that was badly damaged. Quick dry/uncooked rice/vape methods on the damaged colas. It did taste a bit harse due to no flushing and quick dry method, but I did get buzz (mostly head buzz). Not bad at all. Started flush right away and will harvest in 7-10 days.
This plant turned ALL purple due to cold weather, now that the weather getting better will it effect how it absorb sunlight? Someone from diff forum suggest I give some bloom nuts before flushing but I already began flushing 2 days ago. Pls advice. Smell and look tasty.
This went little over one ounce due to damages from strong winds knocking it over and damaging stem and bud. Big yield due to manifold methods (but 10 colas branch instead of 8)Few stems I have to cut off and throw it out due to damage. Overall not bad experience for random bag seed. Did many experiments was done on this plant. I find that root farm is a good alternative nuts from those other expansive brand. Happy result. Cheer.
