Growing it
Easy
This is the first time we complete a Grow Diary and the reason we choose OG Kush is because they really are very easy plants to grow. We have a fantastic phenotype mother that provides shorter and bushier plants, very convenient for our tiny 60x60cm tents, and making clones this time was really easy.

We started with 25 clones in the bubbler and 65% rooted and from them 88% survived the transplant. We picked the best looking 6 and transplanted them onto 24 liter fabric pots and flipped to 12/12 the same day. They stretched for about two or tree weeks and started flowering.

Around week #3 of flowering we tied them down to the pots, to help spreading a little bit. The only issue this time was they were really short and bushy, so watering was a pain.

As we had 6 plants, this time we harvested them in batches in different weeks, allowing the plants to be outside in the sun while enjoying the very cold (almost freezing) winter, this helped a lot with the already very purple/black colours on the buds and sugar leaves.

Buds from the earlier tree weeks wake you up and are very motivating and uplifting, buds from the last weeks have a distinct smell, not so piney but more pungent, and it's amazing to get to sleep.

Tested with dried and cured buds from previous weeks, on joints, glass pipe, and both the Arizer SOLO and Arizer GO. Amazing white smoke, strong, pure flavour, still kind of harsh because needs more curing but they really make your mouth wet while rolling another spliff :)

Also recovered 80 grams of pure frosted sugar leaf and made 200gr of a very strong cannabutter, huge effect but very insomnia inducing, not what I wanted this time, will save it for "party cookies" instead of "sleep cookies".

@EhJay, Thank you! Absolutely looking forward to see your next grows!!

I have three mothers from Royal Queen Seeds, amazing moms! Two Royal Cookies (revegged from previous harvest) and a Royal Gorilla that's a bomb.

This week I'm going to start another diary starting from clones, 20 Royal Cookies and 5 Royal Gorillas, to change a little from OG because that's two in a row and I have strain block lol.

Running late on the updates, hoping to catch up tomorrow.

I cannot wait for the current diaries to be on a better state for macro picturing, but the Royal Cookies went well, and the OGs are huge, kind of difficult to frame, lol.

Happy smokes!

I have just finished transplanting the Royal Gorilla mom, one of the best and oldest mothers we have, just short of a year by days (348 days old today 09-Aug-20).

I'm going to be preparing the diary to upload very soon, might be today, because we want the mothers to be summer crops this time, as they have been trained and already have amazing root systems, so we have one or two months to prepare them for the Southern Hemisphere Summer 2021 Season. We're still debating if they will go to 60 liter textile pots, or directly to ground.

Hoping you enjoy the updates!

Happy smokes!

I have just uploaded the Second Season of the OG Kush #3.x Perpetual Grow, and the weekly update on the Royal Cookies Perpetual Grow too.

This week it's going to be an exciting one, as I think we don't have any OG Kush #3.x clone left on the mothers and clones room, so to keep the strain alive we will have to make clones of the bottom branches of the SoG and hope for a good rooting percent!

We're getting closer to Spring Season and we're going to need lots of clones, so keep tuned if you enjoy our content!

Happy smokes!

A short update on today's weather. Fuck it was hot. 36 C for a fucking middle of the winter day?

At least I can say the plants enjoyed it.

10 PM here and I'm still wrapping up the OG Kush transplant, to be honest they're so stretched and still on (not completely filled) 1 liter pots, so they're all rootbound and struggling to stretch, so I'm transplanting all to 7 liter pots and starting another OoG diary.

The extra room on the mothers & clones room will be extra useful when preparing the moms for the outdoor 2020/2021 season, as they're really affected by red spider mites, and treatment started a couple weeks ago and still goes on.

I will be uploading all the updates and pictures tomorrow, stay tuned!

Happy smokes!

Working on the weekly update, finished filling the second grow tent with 8 OG Kush clones in 7 liter pots. It's going to make an amazing challenge SoG grow on the 450w vs the 9 Royal Cookies in 3 liter pots under the 600w.

Hoping to upload later tonight!

Happy smokes!

Extremely hot day today, might get closer to 36C in the middle of the winter, huge storm tonight and colder days from then on.

Hoping to prepare the weekly update for the Royal Cookies grow tomorrow, and also making sure to prepare everything for the mothers that will go to the spa now, as they really weren't well cared and are looking in bad shape because red spider mites growing with the heat.

Good thing is we're able to do some neem+potassic soap spray because it's hot, dry and windy.

Happy smokes!
