As flowering starts I noticed the my leaves towards the bottom but not exclusively there had started to get spotty and turn brown.
I initially thought this was due to a calmag issue and started to treat for that. I was also told it was possibly a fungus that had started to appear due to humidity being too high. So I started to remove the heavily effected leaves and treat with an organic fungal spray as well, spraying the plant down just as lights went off so that it had mostly evaporated by the time for lights on.
This however was not the issue
I heavily defoliated the plant at this point as my leaves were getting worse even after treating for calmag and fungus.
Deciding to do a flush to check soil pH I learned my soil was highly acidic and I had been phong the water down and this stopped a nutrient uptake. As I flushed I added pH up solution and over the next few days say an improvement in leaves and overall development.
Did another small amount of defoliation on the plant to remove what was bad from the soil pH being too low and to improve the air circulation.
Plant seemed much happier and flowers are developing move better
First grow and new too this site, have pics and notes going back to when I first planted and will be back filling the grow throughout the day.
On the back of the soils PH being too low (4.5 due to organic compost made from leave and grass cuttings and me PHing water down from 7.4 to around 6.3) in previous weeks and a flush needing to be done to raise it And/or a fungus on the leaves I have removed some of the more heavily affected leaves that had browned and curled to improve the air circulation and to reduce the humidity as my tent is a small 2x2.
Noticing flowers are starting to get a little frosty but pistils are still shooting out all over the place.
For my first grow I have kept things fairly simple. I had issues with my soil PH which stopped nutrient uptake but seems to have now resolved that for the most part. Are there any other nutes that are recommended to help bud production or am I ok with what I have now? Thanks

Твоя девочка отлично выглядит, ты вовремя исправил ситуацию с блокировкой! Твоя добавка bloom - то что надо, для цветения! Если есть возможность, приобрети себе добавку для конца цветения, созревания урожая....часто эта добавка имеет название Ripen, её добавлять нужно в последние две недели цветения перед неделей flush! В полив достаточно будет вносить только Ripen и больше никаких добавок! 👌
Для понижения и контроля ph раствора в поливе рекомендую использовать в качестве phDOWN - высококонцентрированную фосфорную кислоту. Она как ни одна другая помогает конопле в цветении и для должного эффекта её нужно предельно малое количество. При наличии ph-метра, вы легко подберёте опытным методом, сколько её нужно будет вам добавлять! У меня эта кислота от Growth Technology и она 81% концентрации. На 10 литров хватает 2 капли чтоб упала кислотность с 7,7ph до 5,7ph, в моём случае. 👌

As I move further into flower and the buds are starting to put on a bit of weight, Should I start to slowly defoliate some of the larger fan leaves?
Heard some very varied opinions on this but havent seen massive impact either way.

So if you have a plant that is very bushy then yes i would defoliate some of it. But if the buds are really getting heavy to where they start tipping over you'll really want to support them with bamboo stakes or tomato stakes something like that because it will truly support the weight and prevent breaks....the big fan leaves will only take away a very minimal weight.👍
Everything seems to be progressing nicely this week. My RH was starting to climb as I go further into flower but guessing I'm around 2 and a half weeks from the harvest I defoliated the plant quite heavily and slightly decreased my biobizz bloom to compensate for less mass overall.
The buds are really starting to fill out nicely this week with around 30% of the pistils turning orange in the last couple days.
I think I am going to feed for the next 5 days and then flush for the remaining to weeks!

Does this plant look like I am around 5 days from flushing or should I keep feeding her for a little longer? Planning a 2 week flush hoping to chop august 16th so keep watering with feed until this sunday 2nd.

Я посмотрел твой дневник и ты не совсем верно ведешь отсчёт недель цветения! Цветение у тебя началось на 5 неделе роста! У тебя сейчас уже идёт 7 неделя цветения (11 неделя роста)! Считаем 9-7=2 . 2 недели тебе осталось до снятия урожая! Это значит что ещё 1 неделю ты кормишь удобрениями и 13 неделя роста у тебя будет неделей Flush! Ты промывать её будешь всю 13 неделю и в конце снимешь урожай! Она будет вполне спелой девочкой! Она и так уже красавица, а станет бриллиантовой дамой! 😇👌

I am thinking about starting flush today. But I just want to make sure its the right thing to do. I have uploaded a picture to this week that I took this morning and I can see that some of the trichomes appear to be turning cloudy. I am planning to flush for 10-12days. Start now?

As a first time grower this week has been a tough one, I know I am coming towards the end and wanted to start my flush prematurely but have held off and will be starting end of this week. Have again removed a few more leaves from the lower part of the plant
Buds again have got a bit fatter since last week but seems to be slowing a bit.
Trichomes are starting to go couldy now and while there are a few new pistils shooting out in a couple of places the majority are orange now or starting to turn.
I will be flushing for 7-10 days untill all the trichomes are milky with a few ambers.
Probably around 10 days before she gets the chop now!

Been a pleasure growing this one, need to hone my trimming skills and indeed my growing skills but that will come with time.
Over all really happy with the grow went and with the end result me and my girl have a nice month and a bit without having to buy and my next seed is already in the soil!
