Grow # 15 - Original Auto AK

Welcome Back fellow growers as I start my 15th grow. With me being so impressed by the Original Line genetics from FastBuds I decided to go with the Original Auto AK. If you've followed my diaries then you know that I'm a fan of the AK strain as I've previously grown AK-49, but this time I decided to go with the "Original".They that she can be grown indoors or outdoors and withstand all environments thanks to her pedigree genetics. AK Auto is a very easy to grow, that makes it perfect for beginners, that packs a punch with a THC level of up to 21%, where she will grow long dense colas in just 9 weeks with citrus pine flavored buds. Despite her Sativa influence, this girl is a foolproof hybrid for those who need a solid producer with quick turnaround time, as well as commercial growers. Before I get into the germination process, here's a list of equipment that will be featured in this grow. list of the equipment I'll be using : HydroPlanet 2x4x5 Grow Tent 3-Gallon Plastic Pot Happy Frog Soil Vivosun 300 watts Full Spectrum Grow Light Vivosun 4" inch Exhaust Fan iPower Carbon Filter Vicks Cool Mist Humidifier 4 Desk Fans Acurite Hygrometer 6/30/2020 1:13 am Placed Original Auto AK in a glass of water where it will soak for 48 hrs. After 16-18 hrs I'll check on them to see if it went to the bottom. 6/30/2020 2:04 pm Checked on the seed after a light tap seed went to the bottom of the glass. 7/2/2020 1:30 am the seed was placed in paper towels that were then placed in plastic bags. I then placed the bag inside the grow tent to make sure they were in a dark area. I'll check on them every 8-10 hrs to make sure the paper towel stays moist. 7/2/2020 2:18 pm Checked on seed paper towels were still moist and taproot was showing growth. 7/2/2020 10:03 pm Checked on seed again paper towels were still moist. 7/3/2020 1:13 pm seeds had long enough tap root so it was placed in the soil. I also had to order a new ph pen today. 7/4/12:41 pm No sign yet of anything above the soil misted to keep topsoil moist. 7/4/2020 8:37 pm the auto AK is above the soil but it still has the shell attached but it seems to be working itself out. A new ph pen came today also. 7/7/2020 1:24 pm Now that the true leaves are visible, I'll start counting Day 1 tomorrow. I also need to make sure the lights are 18-24" away from them. 7/7/2020 5:53 pm Adjusted light so it's 22" inches away from the seedling. 7/8/2020 (Day 1) 8:32 pm Seedling has officially started Day 1. Everything is looking well nothing to do yet until Day 4, it will only be getting is a few mistings along with filling up the humidifier to keep the humidity up. 7/9/2020 (Day 2) 9:24 pm Took pictures of the seedling along misting her a few times and I refilled the humidifier, the environment is still stable and doing great. 7/10/2020 (Day 3) 6:28 pm Gave seedling a couple of mistings today the water had a ph of 6.2. I also took Day 3 photos, along with refilling the humidifier. 7/11/2020 (Day 4) 1:55 pm The seedling was given its first watering today, she received 250 ml of water with a ph of 6.2, along with a good misting. Photos were also taken. 7/12/2020 (Day 5) 9:03 pm Seedling got the usual misting today along with a daily photo. I also refilled the humidifier environment is still stable. 7/14/2020 (Day 7) 8:53 pm End of week 1 and everything has good so far, no issue's with the seedling or environment or equipment. Overall it was a very easy and successful first week for the Original Auto AK, no problems so far so let's hope things stay this way. Here we are for the Week 2 Update for the Original Auto AK grow, and things are still going pretty good. Been working on getting the temperature a little bit lower to around 78-79 °F instead of 84°F which hasn't shown to be a problem yet it's more of a preference. I gave this lady a watering on Day 08 and then again on Day 11. I have just been giving her plain water with a ph of 6.2, until Week 03, when I start giving her nutrients. So far I'm pleased with the growth she's been showing actually shocked she's way bigger than the other two in the tent which I expected to be bigger than her. LOL. Here we are for the Week 3 Update for the Original Auto AK grow, and things are still going pretty good. On Day 15 she was given a watering with a ph of 6.19, then on Day 18 she received her first feeding, check on her 24 hours later and there were no signs of nutrient burn or anything, she responded perfectly. On Day 21 she received another watering with the same ph of 6.19. She looks amazing the biggest of the 3 that are in the tent right now, really excited to see what she looks like when she starts to stretch. Now it's time for my favorite part of my diary... What a long and crazy Week 4 it has been in my garden. As I've told you guys before I've been having issues with heat in my garden this week the temp got as high as 90°F. Since the temp was so high the auto bubblegum was drinking water and uptaking nutrients faster than she should and started showing signs of nitrogen toxicity. I went ahead and did a small flush along with watering them back in the tub on top of a small rack so they can drain properly. After the small flush, light defoliation, and feeding she's starting to look alive again. I'm things get better this week. She also went into full flower basically overnight, this is fair my fastest-growing auto to date, I wish it would have had a longer veg cycle though I'm used to at least 4-5 before flower. Here we are for Week 5 of this grow ( Week 2 of Flower), and this poor lady is still going through it. She still has the same issue, which is she's taking up the nutrients too fast which is due to the heat. Really sucks she just can't seem to get dialed in even though she's still been growing pretty decent. Went ahead and did what will probably be my last defoliation for this grow also this week. I also got my prize pack from Female Seeds, so I'm super stoked about that. Back for another update and boy has this week been scorching. Despite everything I've done to combat the heat the temps in the grow tent are still crazy, temps reached up to 97°F... CRAZY, I've never seen temps this high it has to be my new environment (NEW HOUSE). Despite the crazy heat, this lady has been doing ok, not really what I'm used to seeing in my grows, kind of disappointed. One good thing out of the week was I finally got my prize package from Sumo Seeds!!!! Now it's time for my favorite part of my diary... "S/O TIME"!!! Hey Guys ... Back to bring you the Week 7 update on the original Auto AK. I made some minor adjustments this week like opening the tent in the day and having an oscillating fan in the front the tent pointing upwards and I was able to drop the temperature to 84 degrees which is a 13-degree difference from last week and the plant is loving it, in fact, she's loving it so much that you can actually see the growth at the flower sites. It's Week 8 for the FastBuds Original Auto AK, and with the temps in my grow tent now in check this lady is starting to gain mass on her buds daily and smells soooo good. Of course, she still has the leaf damage from the heat but other than that things are looking up for her. Now it's time for my favorite part of my diary... "S/O TIME"!!! Here we are for another update on the Original Auto AK, since we corrected the heat issue over the last two weeks, she's been taking off. Her buds are developing very nice along with some serious frost.I still do see some of the leaf damage that occurred from the heat stress but it's not that bad so I didn't cut on her. I was a little unattentive this week and forgot to water the ladies and this one didn't mind it at all, just keep doing her thing. Now it's time for my favorite part of my diary... "S/O TIME"!!! Hey, Fellow growers back for the week 10 update on the Fastbuds Original AK auto. This week has been really easy as the photos show she's basically finishing up, the leaves are beginning to change along with the trichomes so at this point she's getting nothing but water no more nutrients. Nothing left for me to do but water when needed and check the trichomes. Now it's time for my favorite part of my diary... "S/O TIME"!!! What a grow it's been with this lady. She started out great and then the heat just took over and I can tell it really affected the yield. Even with the heat issues, I ended up with almost a half-ounce of quality bud. The plant was so stressed that I even found an undeveloped see d in one of the buds. It only took her 7 days to dry, and boy is she tasty. Lol I would like to say thank you to FastBuds again, you guys really outdid yourself with the genetics for the Original Line.
