I planted "Delilah" directly into moist soil and she sprouted up out of the soil in just under 4 days. She is under a 300W LED lamp, and I will be starting neuts (root juice) next week. Day 3 I saw immense growth, she almost doubled in size compared to the previous day. Feel free to leave a comment :).
So on day 8 the soil was still moist, but I haven't watered her at all since I planted her, so I decided to feed her just a little. I watered her on day 8 with 0.5L of BioBizz Root-Juice (2ml/L).
On day 10 I noticed that Delilah started to grow sidewards. It doesn't seem to be impacting the growth and I do plan to LST her, so I'm gonna let her be for the time being to see how she does before I decide to do anything about it.
So on day 12 she was back up straight, but she looks like she is drooping a little bit. I probably should have waited a couple of days before I watered her. I won't make that mistake again.
So, I figured out what the droop was. It wasn't over watering, but it's the growth from when she was sideways that has made the leaves grow in a weird way for a day or so, so they look slightly bent now. No worries though, she's healthy and growing really fast.
On day 16 the soil was dry so I watered her with 0.5L of Bio-Grow (1mL/L). In the last 7 days, she has doubled in size and doubled her foliage.
On day 19 I started her on her first LST session. She is starting to develop that skunky cannabis smell.
On day 20, she was back up straight, so I tied her down a little more. The soil was dry so I watered her with 0.5L of just water.
On day 21 I tied her down a little more to get as much light as possible on those 3 smaller heads. They have tripled in size in the last 3 days. She is handling the LST really well so far.
After her first LST session last week, I have been regularly tying her down until the other smaller colas catch up. She is doing incredible, and the smaller bud sites have grown immensely since the start of her LST. Her stalk is thickening up nicely, and if you brush against her with your hand, you'll smell her amazing weed fragrance.
On day 25 I gave her another nutrient feed.
However, just as I finished feeding her, I noticed a little nutrient burn on two of her bottom leaves. So I am a little worried that I just gave her another load. I'm sure she'll be fine, I'm just going to keep an extra eye on her.
On day 27 I watered her with plain water.
Delilah has shown her sex, she's definitely a little lady (she is a feminised Autoflower, so I would have been shocked to see pollen sacs). No sign of flowering yet though.
I watered her on day 32 and day 34.
On day 34, I can't tell weather she's making new leaves still or going to start flowering.
Day 37, I saw small white pistils coming out of the center of a growing site. I also fed her 1 L of nutrient water.
On day 40, I noticed another cola had popped through the top of the foliage.
On day 41, I gave her approx 1L of plain water.
On day 43, we did our very last serious round of LST, and cut off 4-5 fan leaves that weren't getting any light, or in the way of flower sites. The photos are a few hours post-LST, and I think she has already bounced back amazingly.
On day 44, I gave her a nutrient feeding. She seems to have recovered very nicely from that LST session at the end of last week. She seems all in all to be doing well.
On day 46, I gave another nutrient feed because see was looking a little under the weather. She's bounced back nicely.
On day 50, I defoliated her big fan leaves which were blocking the bud sites from light, and the ones that were starting to go yellow. The buds are fattening up fast.
Day 51 : I gave her a nutrient feed of about 1.5L.
I gave her a feeding on day 57, and then again on day 62. Buds are getting frosty. Some of her lower fan leaves that aren't getting any light are slowly turning yellow.
On day 68, I did a final defoliation on her. A few of the fan leaves were turning yellow and falling off, mostly the ones on the underneath that weren't getting any light. She is staking on the frost nicely. I gave her what will probably be her final feeding.
She had a little bit of trouble with nute burn, even though I wasn't feeding her that much. She took a while to go into flowering.
I couldn't get any photos of the last couple of weeks because my phone died, but the buds fattened up really nicely and she smelt awesome. She is a really smooth smoke, and she is really fruity. She gives a really nice high, and she is really strong. She has an amazing fruitiness to her, in smell and taste. Towards the end she fattened up really fast. I wouldn't say they are the biggest buds I've ever seen considering the name "big bud", but she definitely have a real decent yeild.
I don't see any signs of a copper deficiency at all🤔 Throughout the life of the plant. What I can tell from a brief look through your diary is; 2 weeks ago you started with your nutrient line, but I guess you thought you had given them too much, or what you had given them was enough and you didn't need to feed them anymore? I would advise you to carry on feeding them with the veg schedule for another 2 weeks as she is going to start to stretch now, potentially 1-3 inches per day and you want her to have enough available NPK to develop properly to get full potential.
You shouldn't even have to worry about PH adjustment as you're using an organic nutrient line... Adding PH down can in fact kill off your micro organism heard. I've grown with BIOBiz it's good stuff!!
You've decided to grow organically which is a good choice. Now you have to get into a mindset that you "feed the soil and not the plant". I will quickly explain what that means so your not left clueless.
- chemical nutrients are in soluble form so when they mix with water your roots can absorb them directly which is why you have the potential for so many deficiencies and or lockouts. Managing PH is important in this case if you don't use any form of organic nutrients to sustain the microorganism population and buffer the PH.
- organic nutrients are virtually plant and or animal waste which is then broken down my the micros and bacteria that live in your soil and then fed to your roots acid kills them so to much will hinder there production.
I hope I've been able to give you a little insite on what goes on. There are so many variables when it comes to growing. I can see you're doing well, just don't be put off by something that doesn't even apply to you. Spend some time looking up Info on organics nutrients. Go to the menu feature on growdiaries website on the left, you can see nutrients, find biobizz then you will see all the grows using there nutrients. It was a very long post I'm sorry for that, if you have any questions I can direct you to the information available. But I can also tell you from experience✌️🏻️
@Charlie, sorry I never got round to answering you. Looks like your doing just fine now. To answer your question yes the tip discoloration is from a lack of nitrogen. However at this phase if the plant can't absorb nitrogen from its roots it will take it from the leaves✌️🏻️
@PharmaZ, Thank you so much for explaining that to me. I did get a little worried that I had given her too many nutrients. I really appreciate the feedback. I'm a first time grower and all the information out there can get a little overwhelming. I'll give her a normal nutrient feed tonight, and then keep on going as I was. I won't use the pH down then. Thank you for explaining it to me. I had never looked at it in that light before. So what do you think the leaf tip discoloration is then? Just a reaction to the nutrients then? I really don't want to harm her by overfeeding or whatever. Anyway, thank you so much for your in depth "analysis", I really needed some advice.
Hey there I will update for you!! She unfortunately stretched from improper techniques; my grow tent has had some heat issue unfortunately so having to switch to cfl bulbs have caused the stretching; I did bury the stem when I felt she could take it and that took care of my issue.
@bobo420, Thanks you for your kind words. It's really nice when someone is letting you know that they're following your progress, thanks a lot 😊 Cheers.
Mine had a slight droop to it Aswell; maybe the genetic gets overwatered slightly easy; who know but she’s looking amazing @Charlie! Keep up the good work!

Delilah is looking gorgeous! Keep it up! Good idea with the fan too; I’m still fairly new at this, but I did notice a diffence in how thick the stalk and stems get when you add a fan; makes the plant more hearty for sure!! -FirstTime
Looks like you've been hitting the feed just right, have you been PH adjusting your water? Keep feeding the you could probably ease off on the bio Grow now drop it to 1ml/l till week 8 then cut it out completely👍🏼
If you ever want to get another opinion you can always come comment on one of my diaries✌️🏻️
