So had a mold on one of the seeds when the leaves popped out throught the soil (probabaly won´t use plastic dome over the pots anymore for germinating seeds. I gave them 12 hours soaking in water than another 2 days in paper towel and then planted all in the final pots but this 4th seed had only a very small root (2mm) when i planted it so that why probably it took to long to pop up which made it more prone to mold forming. Rest is looking pretty good + the new one that substituted the molded one looks good as well. am thinking of doing some lst on them in a week or so but don´t know yet.

Early this week found 2 fungus gnats on the soil of one of the plants so was afraid of an infestation but after getting rid of the 2 havent seen any other one. Yesterday (day 14) had to give some support to 1 of the plants cause it was bending over. Overal not perfect but think these problems are all minor. So lets see.

Could these brow spots be from Fungus Gnat or maybe a nutrient deficiency? Only 2 out of the 4 plants affected in the last couple of days (about 7 leaves). And what to do about it?

I didnt´mean the fungus gnats eati9ng the leaves, but i understood the larves in the soil also eat the roots and this can create this symptom (at least thats what ive read)

Hello. That is not normal fungus gnat damage. They bite the leaf starting along the edge of the leaf at the vein and working towards the center along the vein. To me it looks like a potassium deficiency Good Luck. Chuck.

No more gnats this week, so that was positive. Have an issue though with stretching and thin stems so had to add some support to them. Don´t really understand why 3 out 4 really stretched that much as they are under a LED Lamp (maintained it at 60cm in the beginning as was the suggested height by manufacturer) and have a ventilator creating some air movement that should help strengthen the stems but doesnt seem to help.

Maybe I am slow here, but why are you doing LST? To me it does not look like you have done any topping. I see no symmetrical branches to tie down. Are you just bending the whole thing over, to reduce height? I don't think they are old enough, if I have missed something here. And yes, thin branches are ok, as long as you dont break them.

Since they were still streching a lot started LST this week, on 6th of August, by bending over the stem. Yeah that didnt go as planned as i snapped the main stem of the biggest plant. Big bummer but ok as i have read all over just some duck tape could salvage it. So applied some ducktape on the broken stem and added some wire to add stability. First day definitely looked like it was dying but these are resilient buggers and today the plant looks like it recuperated fully, just going to be a bit carefull with lst on this plant for now.

This week battling a bit with the wind in the growtent (you can see in the video i included), had few leaves with windburn but now all are looking fine. Continued LST to create an even canopy. Also think i should have removed the duct tape i used to repair the broken stem should have been removed earlier (it was on there for 10 days) as i saw afterwards (see in the pictures of broken stem repair) that the area of the stem where the duct tape was stayed fairly thin.

all plants are Auto Amnesia Haze RQS Seeds but most have of them have pointy thin leaves but one plant has rounded leaves (see in pictures "strain pointy thin leaves" vs "strain rounded leaves". Is this something normal or is there a problem with the rounded leaves?

Overwatering and genetics are the two biggest culprits for this. As long as she's keeping up with the others, you have nothing to worry about. If its genetics, you probably have 1 that is showing its indica side more. Amnesia is a sativa dominant strain but this one may have more indica characteristics coming through. That would be the wide leaves vs the thin leaves (a sativa trait). If she's also bushier than the others, this is likely what's happening.

Removed the ductape i had applied to the broken stem for repair. Should have done it a bit earlier has this has stunted the plant (you can also see the stem is much thinner where the ductape was). Lets see how she develops.

The plants grew pretty fast this week and quite some work to keep up with LST to try and create an even canopy. The plant that was stunted by the repair on the broken stem is about 10 cm lower than the rest so put the pot on top of some wooden blocks. Also removed some thread that i applied in the beginning of the LST to maintain the plants roots fixed, and was now cutting into the stem (have to rethink what to use for binding next time)

I got one plant with lighter green leaves than the other 3 plants (see images with info "plant with lighter green leaves". The all get the same treatment. Any idea what this could be? and is it worrisome?

The thing with seeds, is that even if they're from the same plant, they won't have the exact same genes. You might simply have a plant, with lighter colours than the rest of them. She looks healthy enough to me.

Because of the LST i did in the beginning some plants have the first 4 cm of the stem flat on the soil. This has me worried that this could infect so i am constantly trying to create a gap underneath the stem. This is getting harder though, should i worry about htis?

Any roots left unburied will turn into stems. Any stems buried, will turn into roots. Plants are smart, and they love soil, do not fear! Keep on the great care! Happy smokes!

A bit a worrisome week. First some leaves on some plants started to get brown spots on them which lead me first to believe they were form fungus Gnats as i saw some small flies but with the help of the community came to a conclusion it was more likely nutrient lockout. This diagnose seemed to make sense as i had just started feeding a few days befor appearing these spots. So i flushed the plants a bit (2x normal watering) and up to now (4 days later) the problem hasn´t advanced. so this seems to have resolved this issue. Next watering will probably use half of the nutrients dose. 1 plant has quite some leaves yellow/lime green Not really sure what this is, as they are throughout the plant (on top and bottom). Also 1 plant didn´t want to stop growing so had to apply some additional lst to keep the canopy more or less even. Now all have stopped growing and hopefully will dedicate themselves to fattening up some great buds. Lets see

So after the lockout i had last week on one of the plants, which stopped imediately after i flushed with 2x the water it contains. i decided to water with out nutrients before i started feeding again. Also this time i decided to only feed 25% of the recomended amounts, just to be on the safe side. A few days after that one plant started developing the same lockout symptoms so i flushed this plant also (not the same plant as the first one). After a few days it looked like i hadn´t flushed it enough as symptoms were continuing and by now other plants also started to develop symptoms. Thinking of flushing them all but a bit hesitant with the plant i already flushed as it is still wet. Will let you know next week

As the problems with yellowing leaves with brown spots duying pointing to lockout continued, I decided to flush all plants. Have done so on the 17 september. Now, the 20 september the plants dont look so beautiful anymore but it looks like the spreading of the symptoms have stopped. Also added a ventilator to the soil of the plant i flushed twice to see i can get the water evaporated quicker and avoid root rot. Hope that the buds start growing again as they are fairly small. Also did some early harvesting of some buds for watercuring . lets wait and see.

Still seem to have a problem with nutes lockout as i have flushed on the 17th September and i thought the symptoms had come to a halt, they still seem to progress slowly and as i am 2/3 weeks away from harvest don´t really know what to do. Just wait if the live till then?

So finally got a ppm & ph digital meter. As the plants were getting worse i had to harvest early and did the slurry test on the leftover plants (4 days after harvest) Since the plants didn´t have to survive used the soil in the middle of the pot and let it soak for 24 hours. Did the test on 2 plants and these were the results: plant 1: ppm; 145 & PH: 6.95 plant 2: ppm: 225 & PH 6.45 also did a 30 min slurry on a third plant: ppm: 230 & PH 6.25 For watering the plants i use tap water that i let stand for a few days to get rid of the chlorine. So i also tested the water that i had standing (7 days): ppm: 100 & PH 7.50 So hope this helps to find out the problem as i want to start a new grow with the same strain but a bit hesitant if i don´t know what caused this.

Hi there Ice-R, the good news is it's not a lockout, the bad news is you have K deficiency , this you can see from the coloful splotches on the leafs and the fact the symptoms get worse when there is less K available. just keep feeding them like you did before . The problem is there is some kind of "inertia" meaning the problems progress a fair bit after the fix is in , but so close to harvest you just gotta do what you had planned to do. IT wont be that bad a thing for your harvest, stay positive ! Hope this helps ! 🚀

Hi there! Do you have EC meter to determine the salinity of the run off water? If not you might just need to flush it more. People actually take the plant under a shower and flush with LOTS of water to really get most of it out and sometimes it's crazy how much salts can build up in the soil. So don't give up and flush her real good! If you want, go check my first diary and look how bad they started to look in the last weeks and still I managed to get decent harvest 👌
