All of the plants have responded really well to LST using bends and ties, especially the Zkittlez auto, the tangie matic is also very vigorous and hungry. The rhino ryders seem to not like a lot of food so I’m going to reduce their daily intake somewhat.

So here we are, almost half way through and boy what a treat these plants have been to grow so far! Each strain has its own little quirks, for example the Rhino Ryder is a little moody and it's sativa side is really showing, its getting taller than the rest, so will need probably tie it down earlier than the others (I plan on doing this week). Zkittlez and Tangie'matic are by far my favourites so far! This week i've upped the nutrient intake by .5ml per litre of water. So far so good. Ended up getting some string to do some more LST at day 29 as the Rhino Ryders were getting too tall for the canopy, ideally I want to keep it as even as possible (I know, I know... impossible when you have mixed indica/sativa in the same space). Tied the main stem of the two Rhino Ryders over which should take a few inches off each in height and also have the benefit of allowing light to penetrate further than it would of otherwise. The other strains (Zkittles and Tangie) are looking awesome too, both really bushy (Tangie - bushy!?) yeah! I have noticed a weird genetic mutation on the Tangie leaves though, i'll provide a picture later, curious as to see if anyone else has come across this mutation! As Bon Jovi sang.... wooooooooohoooo we're halfway there.....

We’re having a heat wave at the moment where I am located and temperatures outside have been 33c+ so it’s had some effect on the temperature in the tent. Plants have coped extremely well with peaks of 36c in the tent! I’ve just installed an air cooled reflector which is a 6 inch so there should be an improvement there. Flowers are starting to appear in all places now on all strains. Some of them are getting a little bit of frost on them too! Lovely stuff!

Had to pull one of the Zkittlez down as unfortunately it showed signs or hermie... I did use it to produce some fresh frozen IWE though! So not a total loss!

Overall the Zkittles from Fast Buds has been one of the strongest genetics that i've had the pleasure of running. Strong and robust plant.

Doesn't really smell too 'tangie'. I can definitely smell tangerines, but unfortunately not THE tangie smell.

have you ever grown autos like these under this light you use ? i wonder what weight will come on them
pifflestikkz
pifflestikkzcommenteda year ago
@WinstonLeWulf, hps all the way for my autos. Always produced nice, dense batches 💚
Lazuli
Lazulicommented5 years ago
@WinstonLeWulf, oh yes , i grew with hps too for some reason i only had 50grams/plant or 300grams total, i also had bigger stretching going on (not in a bad way) just very big plants with only 0,5gram/watt. now with LED i pull 1gram/watt easy and smaller plants 💚 i was just wondering what your average weight is with 600watt HPS🌲🌲🐝 but they seem to go very well. watch out for the heatwave

@Lazuli, It’s my first time with autos, however I’ve got another set up with LED with autos - check out week 6 on this diary, they are loving the HPS it seems!
