One in coco, and one in hydro.. one will be moving off into flower, and one will be mothered. They are still a little unhappy with the transition from the cloner, but this is a hearty strain that will come back quick. Its also short, fast flowering (usually 8-9 weeks) and tight noded for a sativa. I have a picture above 2-3 weeks in flower of the spacing.
Moving along pretty slow under the low watt light, but roots are getting established well. They hydro one will be getting moved into rdwc by next weekend with better lighting grouped with some other strains that grow with similar traits. The coco one will be kept aside for a mother plant. I like to have a copy of my keeper phenos in coco in case the hydro system fails catastrophically,... there's a backup.
Yep, .. theyre small boring plants. I thought I took some side shots, but whatever. What is there to look at yet . They both look pretty healthy so far, and seem to have survived the bug bomb that damaged nearly the whole garden the best.
Might end up going another route with these. Second time in flower I have found naners on this plant which leads me to believe these will have them too. Might keep the one in coco as this one seems to prefer it over hydro, and maybe mate it with a less prone to hermie sativa dominant strain to see if I can evade this. Well see.
Pretty much the same as my last post, Sept these werent as stretchy as the skunk. Moved into the bloom area, some lst, ready to go, they will be on 18-6 lights for almost another week, then I'll switch it to 12-12. There are some toppings that need to grow in. Did a pretty hefty lollypopping and Defol this time, so it looks like a stick jungle, but it'll grow in. The last run of this had hermits, and the one before that too. If this one does also, the coco would be mother is going in the trash unfortunately.
Starting to make a recovery comeback. Went out of town, and the ph went up over 7 and nearly killed the whole garden. Still postponing flip for a few more days.
ph issues from .you vacation have cleared, and they're into flower. Maybe another week of stretch and she'll be into bloom. The coco cut is still under low light and small pot to remain small for a while.
Durban is doing well. This pheno likes the hydro more than coco for sure. She's growing like a sativa now. Has some really tall run away stalks, but thick and healthy as they are, the will cola up like forearms.
Man I really let go of the training on this one. Shes gone rogue with uneven growth in there. Maybe I should blame it on the lights, or the strain genetics, or the nutrients. Nope my fault. Hey, it will yeild enough bud for me to make it through next year, right?
Watch yer eye. Runaway eye pokers in there. Let's see, what I do to them... gave them some calmag, and npk. Idk how much. I put in enough to make it about 450 ppm. Looks like they're growing buds mm hmm. Oh some great white too. Im predicting next week they'll be a little bit bigger.
Shes not getting any taller thank goodness. No signs of slowing down in growth tho. Barely any hairs darkening and still getting wider. Some of these plants are going to have to be harvested in 2 stages top half, then bottom... this is one of them. I don't like run away branches, but it will be cool to have 2-3 foot long colas.
The Durban, bein all Durbie like. Very sativa looking growth and flowers. Just on flush today,, on her way to making my frowns upside downs. The outdoor twin in lookin pretty swell as well.
Well, most of this one has collapsed o to itself. Looks like she isn't quite done yet, and I may only chop the top half next weekend, and let the bottom sit a few extra days. This pheno is pretty short lived for a 100% sativa. No longer than 9 weeks. Shes flushing out nicely. Not much to look at tho.
Just chopped down a few of the taller tops that were fallen over and blocking light and stuff and shit. The rest of the plant is still boofy and needs to finish ripening. Smells guud!
The rdwc seemed to have an effect on growth. In coco, it grew much closer node, and tighter bud structure. In dwc it was stretchy and loose buds. Didnt know that was a thing, but next round will be in coco again. Done this pheno a few times. Its not to difficult. Taste and smells like licorice. Great for go getting taken with a cup of coffee. I let the bottom buds bake a few extra days before cutting down.
I tried dwc once OMG too much work to get them prefect roots.
I do mostly coco now amended with perlite and some organics down the road cause im lazy with pH-ing. :D
