This grow is a showdown between the 2 nutrient companies to see who's products perform better from beginning to end! (Tons of info on each nutrient company in photos) Each 3 gallon pot will be prepared the exact same and then the full lineup of BioBizz and Bio Tabs will be utilized. The Training Regimes will be worked the same on both as well. Each pot has 1 of Maggies Auto Farm - Haven's Blue Dream genetics to give this challenge a superb showing! Check MAF out here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1648392175468278/ In this Contest, We will be giving away a full lineup of nutrients from Bio Tabs as well as 2 MAF Haven's Blue Dream seeds! The contest is won by following along and making a guess in the end how much "Dry Bud" the Ladies produce - The closest guess to combined dry weight wins!! The prizes, combined with this Grow Diary, will give you near everything you need to produce the same results on your own 💪 Grow Room 1: This grow room is 26" x 72" and has a powerful desk fan for air circulation. Lighting is 1 Maravi Reflector Series 300w and 1 Mars Hydro Reflector Series 720w that bring about 450w from the wall. Also utilize a DIY CO2 Generator that consists of 1 cup dry malt and 2 teaspoons of beer yeast mixed into a recycled 2liter bottle with warm filtered water. Poked a hole through the cap big enough to run a length of fish air line tubing to a fish air-stone - This stone breaks down the CO2 that the yeast produces while fermenting the malts. The Generator is placed above the plants as CO2 is heavier than Oxygen and the broken down gas will flow over the leaves providing ample photosynthetic energy. My grow room rests right around 77 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and no lower than 73 at night. I have around 55% humidity - I don't worry too much about this variable. PH is monitored by 3 way soil probe meter which gives a close reading on what the PH is within the root core - Both of these Organic Nutrient lines state that monitoring PH in feed water is not necessary because these lines feed the bacterium in your soil which then feeds your Girls. This process of nutrient activation within growing medium naturally balances out the PH to perfect range for Cannabis! But the soil probe is still important to check because if the PH in soil is way off, it is a sign that there are big problems in your substrate that will need fixing fast. Soil Preparation: Started off with Nature's Care Organic Soil and added in 30% Perlite. Also added 3 eggs on 3 inches of soil before filling the rest of each pot - This is a trick my Grandpa taught me when I was young to add bacterial food and nutrients to raised bed/indoor grows and I've utilized this on every single grow!! I also added 1/4 cup of coffee grounds to the soil mix for some Silica. Seed Preparation: This is the only time product from one manufacturer was used on both grows - Soaked seeds for 24hrs in distilled water with 1ml of BioBizz's Root-Juice to give the taproots some extra fire power right off the bat. Seeds were then planted directly into end 3 gallon pots. Left - BioBizz: Once seed was planted, Fed Her a small amount of filtered water with 10ml Root-Juice (approximately enough water to cover a 3-4 inch circle around seed. Once germinated, Fed Her .1 gallons filtered water with Root-Juice, Bio-Grow and Bio-Heaven mixed to BioBizz's Week 1 Nutrient Schedule. Right - Bio Tabs: Before planting seed, Also added to soil mix for this pot 2 teaspoons of Startrex and then in hole where seed was planted added 2 teaspoons of Mycotrex. Watered a small amount, enough to cover a 3-4 inch circle around seed. Once germinated, Added 2 Bio Tabs 5cm deep under soil and fed .1 gallons filtered water with Bactrex and Orgatrex mixed to Bio Tabs Seedling Nutrient Schedule. Extras: Besides running respective nutrient schedules, I am also going to feed each Girl with 1 tablespoon Molasses, 1 crushed tablet of Calcium Carbonate and 2 teaspoons Epsom Salt(Magnesium Sulfate) per 1 gallon of filtered water starting at Week 3 and continuing until Harvest. This is a Battle Royal Grow sponsored by BioBizz Organic Nutrients, Bio Tabs Organic Nutrients and Maggies Auto Farm!! This grow is a showdown between the 2 nutrient companies to see who's products perform better from beginning to end! The Contest is won by guessing the Dry Bud weight for both Ladies in the end - The closest guess wins a Full Bio Tabs Nutrient Line as well as MAF Haven's Blue Dream seeds! And what a showing it is already at just 1 week of growth!! The BioBizz Grow is firing off harder than the Bio Tabs Grow so far. It's obviously too early to tell anything conclusive - Especially as Bio Tabs line takes a bit to activate within the substrate where as BioBizz line is liquid form and activates a bit faster. Both Ladies are healthy and happy though, with excellent growth!! Our Maggies Auto Farm FB Group - Haven's Blue Dream genetics are showing up strong already! Cant recommend MAF Genetics more! BioBizz: She's been fed with BioBizz's Week 1 Nutrients: Bio-Grow, Root-Juice and Bio-Heaven. Also feeding Her Molasses and Raw Cane Sugar. Bio Tabs: The Bio Tabs line is a bit easier to use since you prep your soil and feed at germination/transplant and then you dont have to do another feeding until Week 5! (See Week 1 Entry for details on what nutes were used to prep grow) She's been getting Molasses and Raw Cane Sugar each watering. Both Girls are getting about .1 gallons every other day when I see the soil is dry. Watering only enough to cover about a 5' area around seedlings. PH in substrate is stay at a perfect 6-6.4 PH range in both Pots and this is because both of these grows are fully organic with excellent microbial/bacterial ecosystems that manage and balance PH naturally! The Molasses and Raw Cane Sugar (although being acidic) feed the bacterium in substrate which then in turn active important nutrients for the Ladies!
