A few of the autos didn't make it, I had a user error after germination. Was basically me being impatient, putting a few seeds into the soil too early.
I then decided to pop my 5 OG Kush freebies I had from Zamnesia. Curios to see how they come out since they're photos and its pretty late already.
So- the OG Kush photos are 1 week behind the Autos, just for the record. However, I had a Pineapple Express growing as slowly as the OG's.
Made up the soil with only dry, slow-releasing ( ofc organic!) nutes. Having a great feeling about this!
So I did a panick check 1 day after week 2 started, due to weather CHANGING AGAIN!!! 😡
I'm using 3 different weather apps, 2 are approved by the govermental weather authorities however it's called in English..
And after each app told me we were about to have a sunny week, the weather changed THE DAY I PUT THE LADIES IN!!! IMAGINE!
Climate change is absolutely devestating, the weather doesn't change frequently on a weekly, but rather on a daily/hour basis.
This is annoying me to a point where I think I won't do many outdoors again in the future. Probably will try to find another indoor opportunity.
North Germany SUCKS.
I had to waste so many badass quality, super frosty buds already due to botrytis and/or mold infections. It's just not fun anymore. All the time, work and money I put into this is not really paying off. Indoors is no problemo at all, outdoors whatsoever is not possible in North Germany, unless you don't give a fuck about losing many plants to mold.
The extreme weather is really fucking me right now..
Can't believe that the biggest part of the summer was too cold and rainy and wet.. While now we had high temperatures up to 38°C..
Outdoors is a joke with the current climate changed. At least my region is really really fucked and the weather has become unpredictable!!!
Since this is a just-for-fun grow for me, the outcome doesn't really bother me.
Still excited! 😆
Temperatures dropped a tiny little bit. Plants are doing well besides the fact that 3 of the OG photos died (they simply couldn't take the devastating hot and dry weather due to the early transplant).
The Triple XL got ripped out of the earth by some animal and only 1 tiny bit of root was left, however the plant itself was not damaged too badly. Hoping on her to recover- we will see how much stress this one can take!
I think I will actually get a few plants done here since some started showing early pre-flower signs (C4 and both Gorilla Glues) and they look really healthy overall.
Looking pretty damn good.
I know have an ordinary bud development on my Gorilla Glues so I'm 100% certain that the other (fully mutated) grow on the spot was a user error.
I am very sure it was due to the fact that the night temperatures dropped below 8°C in April (or May? can't remember when I put them out rn).
But in fact it seems like the Autos will all work in the Northern Hemisphere, not taking high humidity and mold/fungi in late stage into account.
Most of the girls are in flower right now and have pea- to hazelnut-sized buds. Weather was pretty windy and not stable but the ladies acclimated very well and are packed with good organic nutrients!
Looking forward to the harvest even tho it was just a test/fun run.
This experimental grow is pretty fun. Especially now that I topped the SSH and one of the Pineapple Express (tall one).
Really curious to see how they do in autumn and what I can pull off these small fuckers.
The C4 already developed lots of trichomes even tho she just barely started bud-development. Absolutely stunning but I've seen that quite a few times now (seen 2 C4 outdoors and they were RAPIDLY fast and finished in 7-8 weeks).
Thats my own C4 now tho, the other ones were seedlings I gave away to a friend. Curios what I will get! 😬
Oh and its actually 6 ladies flowering already, while 6 are not. Next check it should be at least 4 more in flower, if not the 2 small photos aswell!
If you're curios aswell, follow the diary and stay tuned! 😉
Only 4 ladies are not into flower yet - the 2 topped SSH Autos and the 2 small OG Kush photos.
I got a feeling that the plants can't really make use of the autumn weather, almost no direct sun light anymore.
However, I'm still curious if anything will make it and if the OGs will eventually start flowering.
Anything above 50g dry weight will impress me from this small experiment 😄
They're looking beautiful nontheless. I got enough big plants to deal with + 2 more indoor operations so I don't mind these ones staying small as they are!
Looks like the ladies started producing more trichomes.
Not a direct strong smell coming off the plants but if you rub a stem or touch a bud carefully, the smell of your finger will be amazing.
I guess thats due to the super small overall size.
I'm now sure that I will harvest at least a little bit!
So the experiment went well.. Kinda. If I don't consider the amount of nutes I packed into the ground 😂!
I might smoke a few small full organic outdoor buds.. Or i process them into some dank Iceolator (my specialty nowadays).
At least I will get a few g off each plant.
The experimental grow is slowly coming to an end now.
The 2 Kush by Zamnesia are still not flowering (don't know why) and lots of the autos are mostly finished as much as they can.
I figured this while I was doing the 3 auto outdoor runs this year: you definitely NEED direct sunlight on your ladies.
If they do not get as much direct sunlight, the veg phase will be kinda crippled + there won't be much of a bud development.
You can do the direct comparison in between my SSH auto, the Gorilla Glue auto and this multi strain auto runs. Last 2 on the same spot.
The SSH Autos got the most direct sunlight and grew some decent, pungent marijuana.
The 2nd spot whatsoever is not suited for autos just because of the fact that there is approximately a maximum of 5-6 hours direct sunlight.
Furthermore, the plants that got less direct sunlight tend to go into flower way too early (2-3 weeks after germination) which is another reason why the plants have a very small overall growth.
However, the plants will develop some great frost. I will probably just dismember all the stuff that got trichomes and throw it into another bubble hash run (I really make some decent hash now haha!).
As for the late plants, I will just let them sit another few weeks and see how they do with the cold night temps (6-2°C currently) and relatively high humidity.
